1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsCaptureKit’s published 2026 plans are Free at $0 for 100 credits, Starter at $7 per month for 1,000 credits, Pro at $29 for 10,000 credits, and Ultimate at $89 for 50,000 credits. Capture calls use one credit each according to CaptureKit’s credit schedule, but other endpoints can have different prices. For the vendor’s example of 5,000 screenshots per month, its calculator recommends Pro. Whether CaptureKit is actually cheaper than another API depends on quota, successful-request billing, overages, features, rate limits and workspace rules—not the headline subscription price alone.
CaptureKit plans at a glance
CaptureKit sells usage through credits shared by a workspace. The following prices and quotas are the figures published on CaptureKit’s pricing and billing pages accessed in September 2026. Confirm the live checkout before subscribing because prices, annual terms and limits can change.
| Plan | Monthly price | Included credits | Positioning and important notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 100 | Described as free forever; its listed feature set is not identical to paid plans. |
| Starter | $7/month | 1,000 | For small projects and individual developers. |
| Pro | $29/month | 10,000 | For growing teams; the calculator recommends it for 5,000 screenshots monthly. |
| Ultimate | $89/month | 50,000 | For higher-volume business workloads. |
CaptureKit advertises a 10% saving for annual billing. The pages retrieved do not establish the final annual dollar amounts, billing cadence or cancellation terms, so check those details at checkout. Plan descriptions and quotas appear on the CaptureKit pricing page and in CaptureKit’s billing documentation.
What a CaptureKit credit buys
Screenshot calls
CaptureKit’s documented endpoint schedule lists one credit for a screenshot capture call. That is the useful baseline for estimating image volume: 1,000 successful screenshot calls consume 1,000 credits. Do not apply that ratio automatically to every API endpoint; CaptureKit documents separate costs for other operations.

Failed requests and billing
The credit documentation says documented failed jobs and error responses are not billed. This is different from assuming that every HTTP request is free: billing follows the endpoint’s documented success and failure rules. Review the current credit schedule for the endpoint and response type you will use.
Workspace sharing
Credits and rate limits are shared across a workspace, not isolated per API key. Two services using keys in the same workspace therefore draw from the same subscription quota and limits. Account for background jobs, staging environments and teammates when sizing a plan.
How quota resets, packs and overages work
Subscription quota
Your included subscription quota resets each billing period. Unused subscription credits do not roll over, so buying a larger plan and underusing it does not create a permanent reserve.
One-time packs and pay-as-you-go credits
CaptureKit’s billing documentation states that one-time packs do not expire. The credit rules also describe an order of consumption: subscription quota is used first, then purchased packs, followed by pay-as-you-go credits. This ordering matters if you buy a pack while a subscription is active.

When you exceed quota
Over-quota behavior depends on balances available to the workspace. If no applicable subscription, pack or pay-as-you-go balance remains, the documented result is a payment-required response. A production integration should monitor remaining credits and handle that response rather than retrying indefinitely.
Rate limits
CaptureKit states that rate limits apply, but the retrieved official material does not provide a reliable numeric limit for each tier. Do not promise a requests-per-second figure from the plan table. Ask CaptureKit for the limit that applies to your workspace and design clients with backoff, queueing and concurrency controls.
What does 5,000 screenshots per month cost?
CaptureKit’s calculator uses a 5,000-screenshot monthly example. It recommends Pro: 10,000 credits for $29 per month, displayed as an estimated $5.80 per 1,000 screenshots. The same calculator shows Starter plus 4,000 extra credits at a displayed total of $43, while Ultimate is $89. These are CaptureKit’s calculator outputs, not an independent cost model.
| Calculator choice for 5,000 screenshots | Displayed monthly total | What the figure assumes |
|---|---|---|
| Pro | $29 | 10,000 included credits; calculator estimate of $5.80 per 1,000 screenshots. |
| Starter plus extra credits | $43 | 1,000 included credits plus 4,000 additional credits under the calculator’s assumptions. |
| Ultimate | $89 | 50,000 included credits. |
Your result can differ if you call endpoints with costs other than one credit, capture fewer successful pages, share usage with other applications, need paid-only features or encounter workspace limits. Treat the calculator as a starting scenario, then model your own request mix.

Is CaptureKit’s free plan enough?
The Free plan provides 100 credits per month at no charge and is suitable for a proof of concept, a small test suite or occasional manual captures. It is not equivalent to a paid plan’s feature set: CaptureKit’s pricing page says the free feature list is not identical to paid comparisons. Check whether the endpoint, output format and controls your application needs are enabled before building around the free tier.
- Estimate successful screenshot calls, not page views or browser sessions.
- Reserve credits for retries only when the endpoint’s failure rules justify them.
- Include all API keys in the workspace when forecasting monthly usage.
- Set an alert threshold well above zero so a payment-required response cannot stop a production queue unexpectedly.
Are alternatives cheaper?
CaptureKit’s alternatives page lists these starting prices: ApiFlash at $7 per month, ScreenshotAPI at $9, ScreenshotOne at $17, Urlbox at $19 and ScrapFly at $30. Those are competitor claims published on CaptureKit’s site, not prices independently checked on each provider’s current primary pricing page. A lower entry price does not prove a lower cost for the same number of successful captures.
| Service named by CaptureKit | Starting price shown by CaptureKit | What is not established by that listing |
|---|---|---|
| ApiFlash | $7/month | Comparable quota, overage rate, limits, feature coverage and failed-request billing. |
| ScreenshotAPI | $9/month | Current primary-source terms and equivalent request allowance. |
| ScreenshotOne | $17/month | Comparable quota and endpoint pricing. |
| Urlbox | $19/month | Equivalent volume, limits and billing treatment. |
| ScrapFly | $30/month | Whether the listed starting plan matches a screenshot-only workload. |
CaptureKit’s separate comparison says ScreenshotAPI’s Essentials plan is $9 per month for 1,000 screenshots and describes higher tiers. Treat that as a CaptureKit claim until verified on ScreenshotAPI’s own pricing page.
How to make a fair comparison
- Choose one monthly volume, such as 5,000 successful screenshots.
- Compare included requests or credits, then calculate the price of the shortfall.
- Check overage and top-up rules, including expiration and consumption order.
- Match required outputs and controls: full-page images, PDF, device emulation, JavaScript, custom headers, webhooks or bulk capture.
- Compare rate limits, workspace sharing and whether failed requests consume quota.
- Price monthly and annual billing separately; do not treat a promotional annual percentage as a permanent monthly price.

One-call example
Use the API documentation at https://screenshotneo.com/docs/ for the complete option list. A minimal cURL request is:
curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://stripe.com -o shot.webp
Python:
import requests
r = requests.get("https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot", params={"access_key": "YOUR_API_KEY", "url": "https://stripe.com"}, timeout=90)
open("shot.webp", "wb").write(r.content)
Node.js:
const q = new URLSearchParams({ access_key: 'YOUR_API_KEY', url: 'https://stripe.com' });
const res = await fetch(`https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot?${q}`);
ScreenshotNeo supports full-page capture with lazy images loaded, CSS-selector element capture, dark mode, 12 device presets and arbitrary viewports, retina scale, PDF paper size and page ranges, HTML/CSS rendering, custom JavaScript and CSS, pre-capture clicks, hidden selectors, waits for selectors, delays or network idle, request and resource blocking, custom headers, cookies, user agents and Authorization, timezone and geolocation, transparent backgrounds, image resizing, chosen cache TTLs, signed image links, asynchronous jobs with signed webhooks, bulk capture of 100 URLs per call, a usage API and an OpenAPI specification. Parameter names used by other screenshot APIs also work, easing migration.
Or skip the browser setup: cookie banners, popups and chat widgets are removed before the shot; bot checks, blank pages and failed loads are never billed; an MCP server lets AI agents take screenshots; 1,000 screenshots a month are free with no card and paid plans start at $5 for 3,000. - Record the CaptureKit endpoint and its documented credit cost.
- Measure successful captures separately from failed, timed-out and blocked pages.
- Decide whether subscription quota, non-expiring packs or pay-as-you-go balance should cover bursts.
- Confirm all production keys belong to the intended workspace.
- Implement handling for payment-required responses and rate-limit backoff.
- Recheck annual pricing and competitor terms immediately before purchase.
Common pricing mistakes
Using the cheapest sticker price
A $7 starting plan can be more expensive than a $29 plan at your required volume if it needs paid credits or lacks a necessary endpoint. Normalize every option to successful monthly captures and required features.
Counting every credit as a screenshot
That conversion applies to CaptureKit’s documented screenshot call, not automatically to other endpoints. Keep an endpoint-specific cost table in your estimator.

- What You Get: Anker 332 USB-C Hub (5-in-1), welcome guide, our worry-free 18-month warranty, and friendly customer service.
Ignoring shared usage
Workspace-level sharing means a second key, test job or teammate can consume the same quota and rate limit. Tag usage by application and environment.
Assuming rollover
Subscription credits reset without rollover. If your workload is seasonal, compare a smaller recurring plan plus non-expiring packs with a permanently larger tier.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does CaptureKit charge one credit for every API request?
Its documented screenshot capture call costs one credit. Other endpoints can have different credit schedules, so check the endpoint-specific documentation.
Can I share CaptureKit credits between API keys?
Yes. Quota and rate limits are shared at the workspace level across API keys.
What happens to unused CaptureKit subscription credits?
They expire at the end of the billing period and do not roll over. One-time packs do not expire under the documented rules.
Is the $5.80 per 1,000 figure an independent benchmark?
No. It is CaptureKit’s calculator output for its 5,000-screenshot example using Pro, not an independently tested cost measurement.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
The Bottom Line
For CaptureKit’s published 2026 pricing, Pro is the calculator’s choice for 5,000 screenshots at $29 per month, while Free is useful for small tests. Compare endpoint costs, shared workspace usage, non-rollover rules, overages and rate limits before deciding. For a clean-shot workflow with a free 1,000-shot allowance and paid plans from $5, evaluate ScreenshotNeo first.
