Short answer: ScreenshotOne is the clearer fit if you need a documented batch-submission endpoint: its POST /bulk wrapper accepts multiple screenshot requests. CaptureKit documents a feature-rich individual capture endpoint, but the documentation reviewed here does not establish whether it has a separate bulk endpoint. ScreenshotNeo is the alternative to try first if clean captures, explicit billing outcomes, or AI-agent access matter to your workflow.
Which API fits a bulk screenshot workflow?
Choose based on how you intend to submit, schedule, and pay for captures—not on an assumed speed or image-quality difference. The available product documentation does not provide an independent head-to-head benchmark or substantiated uptime comparison.
- Choose ScreenshotOne when: you want to submit a list through its documented
POST /bulkwrapper and use its usage endpoint to pace request starts. - Evaluate CaptureKit when: its documented capture controls or credit-based plan structure fit your workload. Confirm its current rate limits and whether a separate bulk endpoint is available before designing around one.
- Try ScreenshotNeo first when: you want a one-call screenshot API with consent-banner and popup cleanup, explicit page-verdict and billing headers, or an MCP server for AI agents. See ScreenshotNeo.
A batch endpoint and a bulk-processing system are not the same thing. A wrapper can accept several requests in one submission; a durable worker queue also needs scheduling, retries, pacing, and recovery if a worker restarts.
How the bulk and capture interfaces differ
ScreenshotOne: documented batch wrapper
ScreenshotOne documents POST https://api.screenshotone.com/bulk with a requests list. You can set shared screenshot options for the batch and override them on individual requests. By default, submission is lazy: the response provides screenshot URLs, and the screenshots are rendered when those URLs are downloaded. Set execute: true to run the captures before the request returns, and allow enough time for them to finish. ScreenshotOne’s Bulk Screenshots documentation says bulk requests use the same one-minute request bucket as regular screenshot requests.

- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
CaptureKit: documented per-capture endpoint
CaptureKit documents GET /v1/capture, with an API key passed in the x-api-key header. Its capture reference describes individual capture controls, not the behavior of a distinct batch endpoint. That does not establish that no such endpoint exists; check CaptureKit’s current API reference or ask the provider before assuming batch parity. CaptureKit’s capture reference lists PNG, JPEG/JPG, WebP, and PDF output, along with full-page capture, optional scrolling, device emulation, viewport controls, caching, and CSS-selector capture.
What to verify before committing
- Whether the provider accepts one batch submission or expects your workers to issue ordinary capture calls.
- Whether submission starts rendering immediately, defers it until download, or offers both behaviors.
- How request-start limits work, how to inspect them, and what happens to queued work at a limit reset.
- Which capture options can be shared across a batch and which can vary by URL.
Throughput: pace request starts, not presumed browser concurrency
ScreenshotOne’s usage response includes concurrency.remaining and concurrency.reset. Despite the field name, these describe the number of screenshot requests that may be started in the current one-minute bucket—not the number of browser renders active at once. Use the usage endpoint to pace submissions, and respect the reset time rather than treating the remaining value as a simultaneous-render allowance. See ScreenshotOne’s Get Usage documentation.
For work that must survive worker restarts, use a durable queue, record each URL and its capture options, and retry eligible failures with backoff. ScreenshotOne’s guidance names Redis/BullMQ and SQS as queue examples. CaptureKit says API keys within a workspace share quota and rate limits; check the live dashboard for the account’s actual limits instead of assuming separate keys create separate capacity. Its plan documentation also describes one-time packs, with the live amount shown at checkout. CaptureKit’s plans and pricing.

Pricing and how to estimate a batch’s cost
The following are provider-published plan snapshots identified in 2026 documentation. They are not independent price checks and may change; confirm current terms at the provider’s pricing page or checkout. Credits and screenshot counts are different billing units and should not be treated as equivalent.

Unique option combinations generally count when not cached; cache misses can trigger billed rerenders. Overage charges depend on being enabled and the account hard limit. ScreenshotOne pricing. |
For a useful estimate, count expected successful, unique captures over the billing period. Include URL volume, capture frequency, viewport/device variants, output formats, expected retries, cache behavior, and any overage settings. Then apply each provider’s billing rules separately: CaptureKit documents one credit per capture call, while ScreenshotOne bills successful unique non-cached renders in the described cases. Do not divide a workload by plan allowances as though one credit necessarily equals one ScreenshotOne screenshot.
Implement the queue around the provider’s behavior
For ScreenshotOne
- Build a list of URL requests and identify which capture options are shared and which need per-item overrides.
- Submit the list to
POST https://api.screenshotone.com/bulk. Keep execution lazy if your downstream process can fetch the returned URLs; useexecute: truewhen captures should run before the submission returns. - When using pre-execution, allow time for the batch to complete. Use the usage endpoint’s remaining-start and reset values to pace further work.
- Persist batch state and results in a queue or database if the job must recover after process restarts. Retry transient failures with backoff, while respecting the next available request-start window.
Request fields, authentication, and response details should be taken from the current bulk endpoint documentation; do not infer an exact payload schema from the fact that it accepts a requests list.

- Confirm the current API reference for your account, including whether a batch endpoint exists and the applicable workspace rate limits.
- If using the documented individual endpoint, send each URL with the required
x-api-keyheader and the options needed for that capture. - Track one credit per documented capture call, and apply queue concurrency and retry limits based on the live account limits.
- Test your required format, device or viewport, full-page behavior, scrolling, cache, and selector options before submitting a large workload.

ScreenshotNeo takes screenshots through one GET request, returns PNG, JPEG, WebP, or PDF, and offers capture controls including full-page capture, device presets, selector capture, custom CSS and JavaScript, caching, async jobs, and bulk capture. Its clean-shot steps accept cookie/consent banners and remove more than 60 known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets before capture; each step can be turned off. Bot checks/CAPTCHAs, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits cost nothing, and each response identifies the page verdict and billing status in headers. Its MCP server provides take_screenshot, get_page_info, and capture_pdf for Claude, Cursor, or another MCP client.

Common planning mistakes
- Reading “concurrency” as active render slots: ScreenshotOne’s documented remaining and reset values describe a one-minute request-start bucket. Pace submissions with those values.
- Assuming bulk submission means immediate rendering: ScreenshotOne is lazy by default. Download the returned URLs to trigger captures, or set
execute: trueand allow completion time. - Assuming CaptureKit has or lacks a batch endpoint: the reviewed capture reference documents an individual endpoint but does not settle separate bulk-endpoint availability. Verify the current API reference.
- Comparing credits directly with screenshots: each provider defines its own billing unit. Estimate workload under each billing model rather than equating the plan numbers.
- Retrying every failure immediately: this can worsen throttling and duplicate work. Persist job state, back off on transient errors, and account for cache and billing behavior.
- Assuming every option is batch-wide: confirm which values can be shared and which can be overridden for individual URLs.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does ScreenshotOne render a bulk request immediately?
No. Its documented default is lazy execution; downloading returned screenshot URLs triggers capture. Set execute: true for pre-execution.
