Yes—but looping a YouTube playlist for yourself is different from broadcasting prerecorded gameplay as a 24/7 YouTube Live stream. A viewer can turn on playlist looping; a creator needs an encoder or compatible cloud streaming service to send YouTube a live feed. YouTube supports continuous streams of prerecorded video through some listed services, but a regular playlist’s Loop control does not create a livestream.
Looping a playlist is not the same as livestreaming it
If you want to keep gaming videos playing for your own viewing, use YouTube’s playlist repeat control. YouTube documents loop playback on computers, mobile devices, TVs, and gaming consoles. Open a video in the playlist and enable Loop in the playlist controls; the precise control layout depends on the device. YouTube’s instructions for looping videos and playlists cover the supported playback options.
This repeats videos for the viewer. It does not make the playlist appear as a live broadcast on your channel. To broadcast prerecorded gameplay as YouTube Live, a creator must send YouTube a live video feed using an encoder or compatible streaming service.

How to broadcast prerecorded gaming videos on YouTube Live
- Check channel eligibility. YouTube’s general live-streaming guidance says the channel must be verified and have no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days; the minimum age to livestream is 16. First-time activation may take up to 24 hours. Check YouTube’s current live-streaming requirements before planning a launch, since platform rules can change.
- Create a livestream in YouTube Live Control Room. Set up the broadcast and obtain its stream key and connection details. Treat the stream key as a password: do not publish it or share it with anyone who should not be able to send video to your stream.
- Choose an encoder or cloud service. YouTube describes encoder streaming as a way to share your screen or broadcast gameplay. Encoders may be software or hardware; some listed services also support continuous streaming of prerecorded videos. The available approaches are not equivalent: a local encoder depends on the device and connection running it, while a cloud service can send the feed without a home computer staying on. See YouTube’s encoder setup guidance and tool list.
- Provide the intended video feed. Connect the encoder or service to the YouTube stream using the stream key and send the gameplay video. For a continuous prerecorded broadcast, use a tool that explicitly supports looping or continuous prerecorded video; YouTube’s normal playlist Loop option is not a substitute.
- Confirm the broadcast and monitor it. Check YouTube Live Control Room for the incoming feed and stream status. A 24/7 stream still requires appropriate rights to the footage and any included audio, and YouTube may interrupt a stream after detecting third-party content.
Choose a local setup or a cloud stream
Local software, hardware, or a console
YouTube supports encoder workflows using software or hardware. Modern consoles can also stream active gameplay directly, but that is a different use case from automatically broadcasting a playlist of prerecorded videos. A local setup requires the relevant device and internet connection to remain available for the broadcast, so outages or shutdowns can stop the feed.

Cloud streaming for prerecorded videos
YouTube’s encoder guidance includes a cloud service described as supporting 24/7 live streaming of prerecorded videos. That confirms the workflow is possible; it does not mean every YouTube playlist can be converted automatically or that a particular service is required.
Or let it run in the cloud
StreamNeo is a YouTube-only cloud service for keeping uploaded videos live 24/7. Upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. The cloud handles looping, so no computer, OBS, or home connection has to stay on. It streams the uploaded video as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot; it also attempts automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream.

Make sure you have rights to the gameplay and audio
YouTube requires streamers to have the necessary rights to exploit their live content, including music rights. YouTube scans live streams for third-party material; a detected match can lead to a placeholder replacing the stream or the broadcast being interrupted or terminated. Even if you have a license, the rights owner may need to add your channel to a Content ID allowlist. Review YouTube’s live-stream copyright guidance and the applicable publisher terms for the game footage.

A continuous loop does not guarantee monetization
Whether gameplay can be monetized depends on the game publisher’s commercial-use terms. YouTube says extended gameplay without commentary may not be accepted for monetization; instructional or educational commentary tied to the action may qualify under the conditions in its guidance. Separately, YouTube’s channel monetization policy expects original, authentic content and excludes repetitive or mass-produced content under its inauthentic-content policy. A 24/7 loop should not be treated as a reliable path to ad revenue. See YouTube’s guidance on video game and software content and its channel monetization policies.
Playlists still have to follow Community Guidelines
YouTube may find a playlist violates policy based on how videos are collected, even when the individual videos do not independently violate the rules. Review YouTube’s playlist policy when assembling videos for a public playlist or broadcast.

Plan separately for a recording of the livestream
Do not assume a nonstop broadcast will produce a complete YouTube archive. YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived, but warns: “If your stream exceeds 12 hours, it may not be captured at all.” If preserving the full broadcast matters, keep a separate local recording and plan around YouTube’s archive limit. See YouTube’s live-stream archive guidance.
