Rebooting is the Netflix catalog name for the 2023 Japanese series also known as Brush Up Life. Whether you can stream it on Netflix in the United States is not established by the available US listing evidence, and connecting through a VPN does not guarantee access to another country’s catalog. Netflix’s Malaysia title page currently says the show is unavailable there, so Malaysia is not a confirmed destination either.
What to check before trying a VPN
Search Netflix for Rebooting, the title used on Netflix’s catalog pages. Netflix describes it as a series starring Sakura Ando, Kaho, and Haruka Kinami, about a woman who gets the chance to redo her life after a fatal car accident sends her to the afterlife. Netflix’s title page confirms the catalog name and series details, but a title page in one regional catalog does not prove the show is available in the US.
The current US Netflix status was not established. A secondary US availability listing names Doki Amazon Channel, but it is not a verified confirmation from Doki or the rights holder; check current listings and the service itself before relying on it. Moviefone’s JustWatch-powered listing is a lead, not proof of current rights.

Netflix says catalogs differ by country because of regional licensing. Availability can also vary with release timing, maturity settings, and profile language. Its VPN guidance warns that a VPN user may see only titles Netflix licenses worldwide; changing the apparent location therefore does not promise access to a specific country’s catalog. See Netflix’s explanations of why a show or movie may not appear and watching through a VPN.

Netflix’s official Malaysia page currently marks Rebooting unavailable in that country. That contradicts claims that Malaysia is a confirmed Netflix region for the series. Check the Malaysia title page rather than assuming a title page or an old availability claim means it can be streamed there now.
How to check Netflix in the US
- Open Netflix while connected normally and search for Rebooting. A result or playable episode in your account is more relevant than a title page from another country.
- If it does not appear, check Netflix’s current US catalog and a reliable, current US availability listing. Treat the Doki Amazon Channel result as unverified until the channel or service confirms it.
- If you are using a VPN and Netflix reports that the title is unavailable in your current region, turn the VPN off and try again. Netflix recommends this step on its region-error help page.
If the title still does not appear
Confirm that the profile’s maturity settings and language are not affecting the result, since Netflix says both can influence what is shown. If you recently moved or are traveling, Netflix notes that it may misidentify your country; follow the steps on its region-error page. Netflix says an account’s country changes when the subscriber moves, not simply because a VPN is used. See Netflix’s account-country guidance.
