Generally, yes. Open the YouTube app on your smart TV, streaming device, or game console and sign in to the YouTube account that has the channel membership. You must also have a membership level the creator allows to watch that stream. YouTube documents TV-app sign-in and members-only live streams separately, but does not guarantee that every TV model or app version supports every members-only live feature.
How to watch the stream on your TV
- Open YouTube on your device. YouTube’s TV app is available on smart TVs, streaming devices, and game consoles. Follow YouTube’s TV app guide for signing in on your device.
- Sign in to the right account. Use the YouTube account associated with the channel membership—not simply an account that has YouTube installed on the TV.
- Find the live stream. Open it from the channel page, a membership-content listing, a notification, or the stream link if you have one. Members may receive a notification when a members-only live stream starts, according to YouTube’s membership benefits guide.
- Check your membership level. The creator can allow all paid members or limit a stream to selected membership levels and above. If your level is not eligible, you cannot watch the gated stream.
What “members-only” means
A members-only live stream is different from a public stream with members-only chat. With a members-only stream, only channel members at an eligible level can watch; people who are not eligible may see the thumbnail and stream details, but cannot view the stream. With members-only chat, the stream is public to watch and membership only controls who can chat. What to do if it will not play
- Confirm the account: Check the account shown in the TV app and switch to the account that holds the membership if needed.
- Confirm the tier: Check whether the creator has restricted the stream to specific membership levels. A lower level may not grant access.
- Try another YouTube device: The official help pages explain TV sign-in and members-only live access, but do not publish a universal compatibility matrix for every TV model and app version. If the stream still will not play, try another supported YouTube device and consult YouTube support.
Does 24/7 mean the stream never stops?
No uptime promise follows from the label “24/7.” It describes how the creator schedules or operates the stream; YouTube’s reviewed help pages do not promise uninterrupted service or state a maximum continuous runtime. A stream can end or disconnect, so do not treat its 24/7 description as a guarantee that it will always be available.
