Yes—if the license explicitly covers continuous YouTube Live use and the rights holder adds your channel to its Content ID allowlist. A license or purchase receipt alone does not ensure YouTube will let the broadcast continue: YouTube scans live streams for third-party content and may interrupt a stream that has not been allowlisted. All-day streaming also has replay limitations: streams longer than 12 hours may not be archived, and DVR may be limited or unavailable.

What permission do you need?

The answer depends on the rights for the particular recordings and compositions, not on whether the music is meditation music. YouTube’s Livestream terms and conditions put responsibility on the provider to have all necessary rights for worldwide exploitation of live content, including music licensing rights from artists, record labels, publishers and other royalty participants.

Ask the licensor or rights holder for written confirmation that the license covers your intended broadcast. Do not assume that permission to use music in an edited or on-demand video also permits a continuous live loop.

Rights checklist before you go live

  • Does the license expressly permit continuous or looping YouTube Live broadcasts?
  • Does it cover the channel that will broadcast and every territory where viewers may watch?
  • Does it permit monetization, sponsorship or other commercial use, if applicable?
  • May you keep an archive of the broadcast available afterward, and for how long?
  • Will the rights holder or its administrator add your channel to the YouTube Content ID allowlist? Ask what channel identifier they need and when the change takes effect.
  • Which recordings and compositions does the licensor control? If it controls only part of the rights, ask who clears the rest.

These are terms to verify in your specific agreement; a license from any particular music provider is not established here. YouTube’s live-stream copyright guidance separately warns that licensed third-party content can still interrupt a stream if the channel is not allowlisted.

Why a licensed stream can still be interrupted

YouTube says it scans all live streams for matches to third-party content. When it identifies a match, it may replace the stream with a placeholder and warn the creator; if the content remains, the stream may be interrupted or terminated. YouTube’s instruction for a creator who has licensed the content is to ask the owner to add the channel to its Content ID allowlist.

If your broadcast stops, check YouTube Studio for the warning, restriction or strike and contact the rights holder or administrator about allowlisting. Do not treat a purchase receipt, a “royalty-free” label or a “free” label as proof that a live broadcast is cleared or immune to Content ID. YouTube advises creators to check the third-party license terms for where and how a track may be used.

YouTube recommends its Audio Library as a source of copyright-safe music and also identifies original music, Creator Music in certain regions, and paid or royalty-free third-party sites as possible sources. The terms attached to the particular music still matter.

Creator Music is not a blanket clearance for all-day live use

YouTube’s Creator Music licensing page says the service is available to U.S. creators in the YouTube Partner Program, with expansion outside the U.S. pending. It describes licenses for tracks used in videos uploaded to YouTube. Check the individual track terms and get confirmation that they cover a continuous live broadcast and any archive; do not infer those permissions from availability in Creator Music alone.

Does “all day” affect the stream or its replay?

Music rights and stream duration are separate issues. A license and allowlisting address permission and Content ID handling; they do not guarantee that YouTube will preserve a very long broadcast as a replay.

YouTube’s archive guidance says a stream under 12 hours can be automatically archived, while a stream longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all. DVR may also be limited or unavailable on very long streams. If a dependable archive matters, consider ending and restarting before that threshold and keep a local recording as a backup, as YouTube recommends.

These platform details are not a guarantee that any particular 24-hour stream will remain uninterrupted or available. Confirm the music rights for the live broadcast and archive separately.

Or let it run in the cloud

Once the rights holder has cleared the music and allowlisted your channel, StreamNeo can keep an uploaded meditation recording or playlist looping as a YouTube Live stream from the cloud. The setup is: upload the recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, then go live. It does not clear music rights or replace the allowlisting step, and it streams to YouTube only.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use music described as royalty-free for a YouTube Live meditation stream?

Possibly, but the label alone does not establish permission for continuous live use. Check the track’s license for the specific broadcast and arrange Content ID allowlisting with the rights holder.

Does Creator Music automatically cover a 24-hour live loop?

No blanket permission is established. Availability and track terms are limited; verify directly that the specific license covers continuous livestreaming and any archive.
