Yes. An Amazon Prime member can share selected benefits through Amazon Family with one other adult who lives at the same primary residential address. Eligible child profiles can also be part of the household, while teen availability depends on account and location. The sharing rules do not cover every Prime benefit, and adults must meet Amazon’s household and payment-verification requirements.
Who can share Amazon Prime benefits?
Amazon Family allows a Prime member to share selected benefits with one other adult in the household, plus up to four child profiles. Amazon describes the primary residential address as the home where a person spends most of their time. Adults keep separate Amazon accounts, but both must live at that same address to share benefits. Amazon says any additional adults need their own Prime membership. See Amazon’s sharing rules.
Teen profiles are not universally available
Amazon’s help pages describe teen eligibility differently. Its setup instructions say new teen additions stopped on April 7, 2025, while another page refers to teens added before that date or after January 1, 2026, where available. If you want to add a teen, check Manage Your Amazon Family for availability on your account and in your location rather than assuming the option is open to everyone. Amazon lists up to four teen profiles, subject to eligibility.

Amazon lists selected shared benefits, not a blanket transfer of every Prime entitlement. The current list includes:

Availability can vary by benefit and account. Amazon’s Amazon Family benefit list is the place to check current details.
Prime Video Ad Free is separate
Sharing Prime Video with ads does not include Prime Video Ad Free. Amazon says Ad Free requires an individual subscription and cannot be shared through Family. Also distinguish titles included with Prime from rentals, purchases, add-on subscriptions, and pay-per-view: having access to Prime Video with ads does not make every video entitlement shareable. What payment and address checks apply?
Adults sharing Prime benefits must use the same primary residential address and share payment methods for verification. For new Amazon Families, only the Family Organizer’s payment method is shared with the other adult. Amazon says qualifying families created before September 18, 2026, may retain two-way payment sharing until a member change triggers an automatic transition to one-way sharing. The date and transition rule apply to Amazon’s stated policy; check the current help page if your family arrangement is older or you plan to change its members. See Amazon’s payment-sharing rules.

How do you add another adult?
- Open Manage Your Amazon Family while signed in to the Prime member’s account.
- Choose the option to add an adult. Amazon allows the organizer to invite the other adult by email or complete sign-up together on the same device.
- Have the invited adult accept and complete the household and payment verification steps. An emailed invitation remains available for 14 days.
Follow the prompts shown in your account; the exact options may depend on eligibility and location. Amazon’s Amazon Family help page explains the current process.

What happened to Prime Invitee sharing?
The Prime Invitee program’s shared delivery benefit ended on October 1, 2025. Former invitees may be added to Amazon Family if eligible, or they can sign up for their own membership. The former Invitee arrangement is not a way to keep sharing delivery benefits outside Amazon Family.

Amazon Family sharing is suited to an eligible household with one Prime member and one other adult. An adult who does not live at the same primary residential address, a household needing more than one additional adult, or someone whose account is excluded from sharing may need a separate membership instead. Amazon lists free-trial members, Student and Young Adult Prime members, and Prime Video-only members as unable to share Prime benefits. Review Amazon’s eligibility rules for your membership type.
