Yes. You can move a photo’s colors, brightness, contrast, and overall tint toward the look you prefer using the built-in editor on either phone. You can also choose a look before taking future photos on supported models. The result is an approximation, not a guaranteed match: Apple and Samsung document different editing and camera tools, but neither provides a cross-device preset or calibration recipe.
What you can—and can’t—match
Both iPhone Photos and Samsung Gallery let you adjust existing pictures. Their editors provide broad filters as well as controls for light and color, so you can work toward a particular reference image without installing another app. Apple also offers Photographic Styles on supported iPhones, and Samsung offers My Filters on compatible Galaxy devices.
There is no single, consistent “iPhone look” or “Samsung look” to copy. Rendering can vary with the phone model and the scene, and the official instructions describe controls rather than an objective way to make two phones produce identical results.

Edit a photo you already took
On iPhone
- Open the photo in Photos and tap Edit.
- Use Adjust to change light or color, or choose a filter for a broader tint or style change. Apple’s iPhone editing guide describes the available adjustments and filters; labels and options may depend on your iOS version.
- Compare the edit with the original as you work, and make small changes toward your reference rather than applying a preset and assuming it is an exact match.
If the image was taken with Photographic Styles on a supported iPhone, its style can also be adjusted later in Photos. Apple says High Efficiency capture is required for editing Photographic Styles there on the relevant supported models. See Apple’s Photographic Styles guide for model-specific details.

On Samsung Galaxy
- Open the image in Gallery and enter the photo editor.
- Try Filters for a broad change; Samsung documents filter-intensity adjustment as well as tone controls including brightness, exposure, contrast, and highlights.
- For a more targeted change, use Color mix to adjust hue, saturation, or luminance for selected colors.
- Save the edit if you like the result, or revert if it moves too far from the reference.

Set a look before taking future photos
On supported iPhones
Open Camera and choose Photographic Styles to preview and tune an available style before shooting. Supported styles and controls differ by iPhone model. Apple says a style can also be refined later in Photos; consult its Photographic Styles guide for compatibility and instructions.

On compatible Galaxy phones
You can apply a camera filter before taking a picture. Samsung’s My Filters feature can also create a reusable filter inspired by the colors and style of a favorite reference photo. Availability depends on the device and camera mode; Samsung explains the restrictions in its My Filters guide.

- Keep the reference image visible, and compare it with your edit on the same display.
- Start with the biggest visible difference: overall warmth or coolness, then saturation, brightness, contrast, or highlights.
- Make one small change at a time. A filter can establish a broad direction; targeted tone or color controls can refine it.
- Preserve the original or use a copy so you can compare and undo changes.
This is a practical editing approach based on the controls Apple and Samsung document, not a manufacturer-prescribed matching recipe or a tested equivalence. If the menus on your phone differ, check the current support guide for your exact model and software version.
