You can’t download a JW.ORG app directly onto a Samsung Smart TV using the TV-app options JW.ORG lists. Instead, try opening jw.org in the TV’s built-in web browser; if videos will not play, use a supported streaming device or connect a phone or computer to the TV.
Which JW app are you looking for?
JW.ORG lists the JW Broadcasting app for Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV (4th generation), and Roku. It does not list a Samsung Smart TV app among those options. JW Broadcasting’s platform help provides installation guidance for its named platforms.
JW Library is a separate app. Its official help covers Android, Apple, and Windows devices, but does not establish an installation path for Samsung Smart TVs. Installing the Android version on a TV is not a supported route established by these instructions.

-
Open the web browser on your Samsung Smart TV.
-
Go to jw.org.
-
Open Library > Videos and try playing a video.
JW.ORG says a smart TV with a built-in browser may be able to play its videos, but playback does not work on every model. It does not provide a Samsung model compatibility list or browser-version requirement, so success depends on the specific TV and browser.

- OBJECT TRACKING SOUND LITE: Feel like you're part of the scene with audio that follows the action on screen. Featuring a virtual top channel, every sound is precisely placed in space, placing you in the heart of the scene.
- SAMSUNG KNOX SECURITY: Your TV experiences are secured. Samsung Knox Security defends against harmful apps and phishing sites while keeping sensitive data, such as PINs and passwords, secure. It also safeguards your IoT devices connected to your TV.
- ONE UI TIZEN: Stream your favorite movies and shows and access your favorite apps and games on an intuitive smart TV platform, powered by Samsung Tizen OS.

If videos do not play, choose another route
Use a streaming player with JW Broadcasting
JW.ORG names Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV (4th generation), and Roku as platforms for JW Broadcasting. A compatible player connected to the Samsung TV is an option if you want to use that app rather than the TV browser. Check the platform’s installation help for the device you have.
Cast or mirror from a device you already own
JW.ORG lists AirPlay from an Apple computer or mobile device to Apple TV, and casting from Chrome with Google Chromecast. These methods require the relevant Apple or Chromecast equipment; having a Samsung TV alone does not establish that either route is available.
