The answer depends on where you bought it, whether it was a purchase or subscription access, why it disappeared, how long ago you bought it, and your country. First rule out an account or app problem; then ask the storefront whether it can restore access, provide a replacement, or refund the purchase.
First establish why the comic is missing
A comic missing from a library may reflect a sync problem, a different account or library view, or the seller stopping access to the title. Those situations can lead to different remedies. Check the purchase receipt and the account used at checkout, and confirm whether the item was bought outright, rented, or made available through a subscription.
- Account or app issue: Check other library filters, devices, and accounts before treating the title as withdrawn.
- Purchase versus access: A paid individual comic is not necessarily governed by the same rules as a rental or a title available only while a subscription is active.
- Catalog or rights removal: If the seller stopped providing the title, ask whether a replacement or refund is available. The outcome depends on the storefront’s terms and your location.
What the major storefronts say
Google Play Books
Google Play’s Terms of Service say Google may remove content or stop providing access in certain circumstances, including loss of relevant rights, service or content discontinuation, critical security issues, or legal or terms breaches. If you cannot download a copy before the removal or cessation, Google says it may offer a replacement if possible or a full or partial refund. This is a possible remedy, not a guarantee. For purchases through the Play Books app or the Books tab of Google Play Store, Google’s ebook help page says a refund request may be made within seven days of purchase; if the ebook does not work, a request may be made within 65 days. These are request windows for ebooks under that page’s scope, not a universal comic refund rule. An approved ebook refund may remove it from your library, so a refund and restored access are different outcomes. Google Play Books refund policies.

Google says refund policies can also depend on what was bought, when and how it was paid for, and the buyer’s location. Its general help page directs customers in the EEA and UK to region-specific information for qualifying purchases. Learn about Google Play refund policies.
Apple
Apple provides a refund-request process at reportaproblem.apple.com. Its support guidance notes that in some countries and regions digital goods and services may not be purchased through Apple, and that applicable consumer-law protections remain in place where they apply. Apple’s North American Media Services terms say that when technical problems prevent or unreasonably delay delivery of content, the remedy is replacement or a refund, as Apple determines. That clause addresses technical delivery problems; it does not promise a refund whenever a previously accessible comic is later removed. Apple Media Services terms.
Amazon Kindle and comiXology
Amazon’s Kindle and Fire Tablet terms identify the Kindle Store Terms of Use as applicable terms, but the cited material does not establish a current, comic-specific promise of a refund or replacement when a previously purchased title disappears because of rights or catalog changes. Check Amazon account content management and contact Amazon support; confirm the remedy under the terms that apply to your purchase rather than assuming Google’s or Apple’s policy applies. What changes the likely remedy

How to make a clear support request
- Identify the seller and account. Check the receipt for the storefront, account, order number, and purchase date.
- Verify the library. Check the relevant account, library filters, and another device to rule out a display or sync issue.
- Document the problem. Note the comic’s title and edition or volume, whether it was purchased, rented, or subscription access, and save screenshots of the missing listing, error, or withdrawal notice.
- Ask for the remedy in order. Ask support to restore access or identify a replacement edition. If access cannot be restored, ask whether a full or partial refund is available under the terms for your purchase and country.
- Escalate with the applicable terms. If the first reply does not address the loss of access, point support to the storefront’s current terms and the consumer-law protections that apply where you live. Do not assume a policy from another country or platform governs your case.
