For an existing past broadcast, StreamYard documents a different no-download option: use it as a scheduled pre-recorded stream, which ends when playback finishes rather than looping.
Loop a stored Video Clip in the studio

Open your StreamYard studio and select Media assets.

Open Video Clips and find the clip you want to play.

Enable Loop for that clip.

Play the clip during the studio broadcast. It repeats indefinitely until you manually stop it, according to StreamYard’s loop instructions.

This applies to a Video Clip stored in the studio’s media assets. StreamYard describes Video Clips as stored on its service, but its documentation does not confirm that an existing cloud recording can be converted directly into a looping clip without downloading, uploading, or otherwise preparing it.
Choose the right no-download option

What if the video is a past StreamYard recording?
If it appears under Past broadcasts, you can select it for a scheduled pre-recorded stream instead of uploading a local copy. That is useful when you want to rebroadcast it at a particular time, but it is not the same as an indefinite loop: the stream finishes when the recording ends. StreamYard’s documentation does not establish a direct cloud-recording-to-looping-Video-Clip workflow, so do not assume the past-broadcast option will repeat automatically.

Check plan and file limits before preparing a clip

StreamYard’s Video Clips documentation says custom clips are available on paid plans and lists a standard upload limit of less than 10 minutes and 200 MB, with a larger allowance listed for Business. It requires MP4. Verify the current limit for your plan in StreamYard before preparing a file.

The pre-recorded stream guide lists plan-specific duration and upload limits and says uploaded pre-recorded videos must be MP4 with H.264 encoding. These rules apply to pre-recorded streams, not necessarily to the Video Clip loop control.

StreamYard’s recommended-format guide covers the video library. Do not treat video-library recommendations as a substitute for the separate clip-loop requirements.

The Free Plan limitations page says pre-recorded live streaming is not included on the Free Plan. Feature access and upload limits can change, so confirm the current plan rules in your account.

Troubleshooting
The clip plays once and stops
Check that you enabled Loop for the item in Media assets > Video Clips. The loop control applies to Video Clips; selecting a past broadcast as a pre-recorded stream is a separate workflow and ends at completion.
The recording is not listed under Video Clips
A past broadcast and a stored Video Clip are distinct asset types. The documented no-download path for a past broadcast is to select it under Past broadcasts for a pre-recorded stream. StreamYard’s documentation does not say that this selection turns the broadcast into a looping clip.

You cannot upload the clip
Check that your plan supports custom Video Clips, the file is MP4, and it fits the applicable file-size and duration limits. The listed standard limit is less than 10 minutes and 200 MB; Business has a larger listed allowance. Confirm the current limits for your plan before retrying.
The pre-recorded stream does not repeat
That is expected for the documented Past broadcasts and pre-recorded-stream workflow: it ends when playback finishes. Use the studio’s Video Clip loop setting when your goal is a repeating clip within a live studio broadcast.
