Yes. Use Samsung Find or SmartThings Find with the Samsung account linked to the missing Galaxy; if that does not help, try Google Find Hub with its associated Google Account. Open Samsung’s lost-phone guide for the service links and instructions. Sign in, select the phone, and check the map. A location may be last known rather than live, and remote actions depend on the phone’s setup, power, network, and other conditions.
What to do first
- Open Samsung Find or SmartThings Find. Use Samsung’s website or another Galaxy device and sign in with the Samsung account associated with the missing phone. Select the phone from the device list and inspect the map. Samsung’s US support guide provides its current instructions.
- If it may be nearby, choose Ring. Samsung says the phone rings for one minute even if it is muted or set to vibrate.
- If it may be moving, use Track location. Samsung says this can request location updates every 15 minutes. Do not travel to a location shown on the map if you suspect theft; contact authorities instead.
- Secure it with Lock. You can lock the phone and display an optional contact and return message.
- Conserve power if the option is available. Extend battery life remotely activates Maximum power saving mode. Samsung says this can extend battery life but does not promise a specific duration.
- Try Google Find Hub if Samsung’s service cannot help. Go to android.com/find or use the Find Hub app, sign in with the Google Account associated with the phone, and select the device. Use the location, sound, secure, or erase actions available for it. Google’s Android Help instructions explain the options.
- Erase only as a last resort. Consider the loss of local data and future location visibility before choosing erase. If remote erasure is unavailable, Samsung advises changing passwords for accounts that may be signed in and contacting your carrier about its options for locating or suspending service.

The services use separate accounts, so signing in to one does not substitute for signing in to the other. Their maps and actions depend on the device state and settings; neither service guarantees a current location or a successful remote action.
What must be set up for Samsung tracking to work?
Samsung’s US guide says the phone should be powered on, connected to a stable network, signed in to a Samsung account, and set up for remote controls. It lists these options under Settings > Security and privacy > Lost device protection:

Samsung says remote controls turn on by default when a Samsung account is added, but checking these settings before a loss is prudent. Menu names and availability can vary by model, software version, or carrier.

What happens if the phone is offline or powered off?
A map result is not necessarily the phone’s live position. Samsung says that when the phone is powered off, only its last known location is available. Google Find Hub may also show a last known location if one is available. Google describes encrypted recent locations and an offline finding network, but results depend on the user’s settings and the devices’ conditions; offline finding is not a guarantee that a lost phone will be located. For Google Find Hub, Google says a Google Account automatically turns the feature on. Its Android Help page also lists mobile data or Wi-Fi, power, Find Hub being on, and Google Play visibility among the requirements for securing or erasing a device. Actual availability depends on the phone and its current state.

When should you erase the phone?
Remote erasure deletes data on the phone, so weigh the privacy risk against losing local files and the ability to locate it. Samsung advises backing up before resetting. Google says an erased device will no longer be available in Find Hub. Samsung also says Google device protection may require the registered Google Account if the phone is recovered.

Samsung US Support, How to locate your lost Samsung Galaxy phone or tablet
Use the services to secure the device, not to confront a suspected thief. If remote erasure does not work, change passwords for accounts that may be signed in and ask your carrier about its available options for service suspension or location assistance.
