Yes. YouTube’s published Super Chat eligibility rules do not list a channel’s language as a requirement. A language-specific channel—including one that streams in a language other than English—may earn Super Chats if the creator and the individual livestream meet YouTube’s eligibility rules. Check the channel’s status and the stream’s settings in YouTube Studio.
What determines Super Chat eligibility?
YouTube’s rules focus on the creator, the creator’s location, acceptance of the relevant terms, policy compliance, and the livestream itself—not the language spoken on the stream. The Super Chat and Super Stickers eligibility guidance and YouTube’s monetization guidance describe the applicable requirements.
- Creator and channel eligibility: The channel must qualify for YouTube fan-funding features. Age requirements apply where specified.
- Location: The creator must be in a location where Super Chat and Super Stickers are available. Availability can change, so consult YouTube’s current location list rather than relying on an old list.
- Terms and policies: The creator must accept the Commerce Product Module and comply with YouTube’s applicable terms and policies.
- Stream eligibility: The particular livestream must not have a status or setting that disables Supers.
Does the channel’s language matter?
YouTube’s published Super Chat eligibility criteria do not name a required channel language or list supported languages as a condition. YouTube’s separate language availability guidance for creators addresses matters such as the product interface, Help Center, creator support, and relevant advertising language; it does not identify language as a Super Chat eligibility test. Based on those published criteria, language choice alone does not disqualify a channel.
This does not guarantee that every channel can use Supers. Eligibility still depends on the account, creator location, and the specific stream. The Supers section in Studio is the practical place to confirm access for your channel.

Which livestreams cannot use Super Chat?
Even if a channel is eligible, Super Chat and Super Stickers are unavailable on livestreams or videos that are:
- Age-restricted
- Unlisted or private
- Made for Kids
- Part of a YouTube Giving fundraiser
- Configured with live chat or comments turned off
These stream-level exclusions are separate from channel language. Review the live chat and video settings for the individual stream if Supers are missing.

How to check and enable Supers in YouTube Studio
- Sign in to YouTube Studio with the channel that will host the livestream.
- Open Earn > Supers. YouTube displays the Supers tab only when it considers the channel eligible.
- Select Get started and follow the prompts, including accepting the Commerce Product Module if requested.
- Before going live, confirm the stream is public, is not age-restricted or Made for Kids, is not a YouTube Giving fundraiser, and has live chat enabled.
If the Supers tab is absent, first check creator and channel eligibility and whether the creator’s location is supported. If the channel appears eligible but the feature is unavailable on one stream, check that stream’s privacy, audience, age restriction, fundraiser status, and live chat settings.

What viewers are buying
Super Chat lets a viewer pay to have a message highlighted in live chat. Super Stickers let viewers buy animated images that appear in chat. YouTube describes both as fan-funding features, not crowdfunding or donation tools. Creators are responsible for understanding laws that apply to offering, sending, and receiving payments.
