Yes. YouTube Help says a channel can have up to 10 active streams, with a separate limit of 3 active streams per stream key. Both limits apply at the same time, so two 24/7 pre-recorded streams are within YouTube’s stated limits if your channel is eligible and has room under both limits. You also need a way to send two separate feeds continuously and enough upload capacity for their combined bitrate.
What YouTube’s limits mean for two simultaneous streams
YouTube Help’s “Get started with live streaming” guidance states: “There is a limit of 10 active streams allowed per channel and 3 active streams per stream key. These limits are applied at the same time.” Two streams are therefore permitted by the documented limits, but those numbers are ceilings, not a promise that a particular encoder can run two continuous feeds.
- Channel limit: no more than 10 active streams on the channel.
- Stream-key limit: no more than 3 active streams using the same stream key.
- Practical check: count any streams already running and make sure both planned feeds fit within the limits.
To live stream at all, YouTube says the channel must be verified and must not have had live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days. YouTube also sets a minimum age of 16 for live streaming.

Two separately configured live feeds
YouTube’s encoder guidance describes configuring an encoder with YouTube’s server URL and stream key. Its guidance on streaming across platforms says creators can configure an encoder for a particular YouTube live event and repeat the process to broadcast multiple streams at once, subject to limits. For two videos on one channel, plan for two appropriately configured feeds and live events. The YouTube guidance does not specify exact settings for a particular encoder running two continuous feeds, so verify that your chosen software, hardware, or cloud service supports two simultaneous YouTube events.

- Compact but Powerful Design: ZowieBox is smaller than a phone, featuring a tally light and LCD screen for streaming status. Capture console gameplay in up to 4K with zero-lag HDMI passthrough, while the built-in video encoder converts video for IP streaming. The IP stream can also be decoded back to a 4K HDMI signal.
- Standalone Game Streaming: Just plug and play—ZowieBox enables PC-free live gaming without affecting gameplay. As an RTMP hardware encoder and HDMI streamer, it delivers stable streaming directly from your source, making it ideal for gaming, live events, and professional broadcasting.
- NDI|HX3 Converter Technology: ZowieBox converts HDMI signals to NDI|HX3/HX2/HX, functioning as an NDI video encoder, or NDI Video Decoder for flexible IP workflows. Certified NDI technology enables low-latency gameplay streaming through OBS/vMix. Note: Encoder and decoder modes cannot run simultaneously; full NDI signals are not supported.
- UVC to HDMI Conversion: Supporting up to 4K@30fps and 1080p@60fps decoding, ZowieBox enables flexible conversion for webcam and video workflows. As a video decoder and HDMI to IP converter, it expands connectivity options for professional video devices. Note: USB capture card functionality is not currently supported.
- All-around Configuration Options: Control ZowieBox through its web UI on a PC, phone, or tablet. Manage connected PTZ cameras, tally light, video/audio, OSD, work mode, streams, network, and system settings. Support for VISCA over IP encoder workflows enables flexible PTZ control, while the dashboard provides video preview and system status.
Enough outbound bandwidth for both streams
Calculate the upload demand for the feeds together, not one at a time. YouTube recommends keeping total streaming bitrate within available outbound bandwidth with 20% headroom. For example, add the target bitrate of each feed, include any backup feed that will transmit at the same time, then ensure your usable upload capacity can accommodate that total plus the recommended headroom. A connection that can sustain one stream may not be sufficient for two.
A setup that can stay online
YouTube supports encoder streaming from software or standalone hardware. A local setup depends on the encoder and network connection remaining operational; a cloud encoder moves that continuous operation off your local computer, but its ability to run two feeds must be confirmed with the provider. YouTube names Gyre as a cloud-based tool for 24/7 prerecorded streaming, but that mention alone does not establish its current support for two concurrent feeds.

How to set up two simultaneous streams
- Check channel eligibility and capacity. Confirm live streaming is enabled for the verified channel, check for any restrictions, and account for active streams already running against YouTube’s channel and stream-key limits.
- Create or schedule two separate YouTube live events. Each feed needs its own event configuration so the intended video, title, audience settings, and destination are associated with the correct stream.
- Configure an encoder or service for both feeds. Enter the YouTube server URL and stream key for each event in the encoder or service. Follow that product’s instructions for sending two concurrent outputs; YouTube’s general guidance does not provide a universal dual-feed encoder configuration.
- Set and check each feed’s output. Choose the resolution and bitrate appropriate for each video and connection. Add the two bitrates together, account for any simultaneously transmitting backup feed, and preserve YouTube’s recommended 20% upload headroom.
- Start both feeds and verify them independently. Check that each event receives the intended video and that both remain live. Monitor the encoder/service and connection for dropped feeds or interruptions rather than assuming that starting one confirms the other is working.
- Plan how each stream will end and what you need to keep. A 24/7 event has different archive and DVR considerations from a short broadcast; decide in advance whether you need a complete recording of either feed.
Archives and DVR are separate from keeping a stream live
YouTube Help says encoder streams shorter than 12 hours are automatically archived. It also warns that streams longer than 12 hours may not be captured, and DVR rewind may be limited or unavailable beyond 12 hours. That means a stream staying live for 24 hours does not guarantee a complete 24-hour archive or full rewind. If a complete recording matters, make and verify a separate recording rather than relying solely on YouTube’s live-stream archive.
Choosing local or cloud operation
| Approach | What to verify | Main operational consideration |
|---|---|---|
| Software encoder on a computer | It can output two concurrent YouTube feeds/events and your computer can sustain both. | The computer and network must remain available continuously. |
| Standalone hardware encoder | The model supports the required number of concurrent outputs and fits the combined bitrate demand. YouTube documents hardware encoders as an option, but does not specify a model or dual-stream capacity. | Check the manufacturer’s specifications for sustained operation and simultaneous outputs before buying. |
| Cloud encoder/service | It supports two concurrent YouTube events, separate feed configuration, and the formats and bitrates you need. | Cloud operation avoids dependence on a home computer, but capabilities vary by service; confirm dual-feed support directly. |
YouTube’s materials establish the platform limits and general encoder approach, not a comparative test of specific products. In particular, a service described as suitable for 24/7 prerecorded streaming is not necessarily suitable for two concurrent feeds.
