Yes. A phone number used to verify one YouTube channel does not, by itself, prevent another channel from livestreaming. The channel that will stream must meet YouTube’s own eligibility requirements, and a phone number can verify no more than two channels per year. If an account has an active livestream restriction, YouTube prohibits using another channel to get around it.
How phone verification affects livestreaming
Phone verification is attached to a channel’s feature eligibility. It can unlock live streaming, custom thumbnails, uploads longer than 15 minutes, and copyright-claim appeals. YouTube says one phone number can be linked to no more than two channels per year. If you have already verified two channels with that number, YouTube directs you to use a different number for another channel.
For a Brand Account, an owner or manager can phone-verify the channel; for other channels, only the channel owner can. Check the channel you plan to stream from rather than assuming that verification on another channel carries over. YouTube’s public guidance does not specify exactly how it calculates the annual quota reset date.

Check the channel that will go live
- Sign in to the YouTube account that manages the channel you intend to stream from.
- Open YouTube Studio and check the channel’s feature eligibility and livestream controls. YouTube’s general guidance requires a verified channel and no livestreaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days.
- If that channel still needs phone verification, verify it with a number that has not exceeded YouTube’s limit of two channels per year.
- Confirm that livestreaming is available for the channel before scheduling or starting a broadcast. Eligibility and activation status are account-specific.

If you want to livestream from a phone
Mobile livestreaming has additional requirements. YouTube’s mobile guidance says the channel needs at least 50 subscribers, must be verified, must have no livestream restriction in the past 90 days, and must have livestreaming turned on. The first mobile stream may take up to 24 hours to become available after activation. The 50-subscriber threshold is specific to mobile streaming; it is not a general subscriber requirement for every way of livestreaming.

Do not switch to another channel to bypass an active livestream restriction. YouTube says that if an account has been restricted from livestreaming, using another channel to livestream is prohibited. Treat this separately from phone-number sharing: the number is not the issue, but attempting to get around a restriction can violate YouTube’s rules.
