Yes. A 24/7 YouTube live stream can earn a share of YouTube Premium subscription revenue when Premium members watch it, provided the channel is eligible for the YouTube Partner Program (YPP) and has accepted the required Watch Page Monetization Module. YouTube says this revenue is allocated according to how much members watch; it does not publish a fixed payment per viewer, hour, or continuous-stream day.
How YouTube Premium revenue applies to live streams
YouTube Premium revenue is separate from advertising revenue. A Premium member can watch without seeing ads, but their viewing may still contribute to a creator’s share of subscription fees. YouTube describes the allocation basis this way: “Revenue from YouTube Premium membership fees is distributed to video creators based on how much members watch your content.” YouTube Help: Your content & YouTube Premium
Live-streaming videos are included in YouTube’s definition of Watch Page content. The relevant Watch Page terms cover playback pages for long-form and live-streaming videos, and the Watch Page Monetization Module is required to earn Premium and ad revenue there. What you need to qualify
- Be in the YouTube Partner Program. A stream’s length or schedule does not replace channel eligibility. Check the channel’s current Earn tab and applicable YouTube Partner Program requirements. YouTube Help: YouTube Partner Program overview & eligibility
- Follow YouTube’s monetization policies. The channel and content must meet the policies that apply to monetization.
- Accept the Watch Page Monetization Module. YouTube states that creators must accept this module to earn Premium revenue for long-form videos; its Watch Page guidance includes live-streaming videos. Review the current terms in YouTube Studio, since eligibility and contract terms can change.
Does running the stream all day mean more Premium money?
Not by itself. The published allocation basis is how much Premium members watch the content—not the number of hours the stream is live. A continuous schedule may give viewers more opportunities to watch, but YouTube’s guidance does not establish a special 24/7 payout rule, minimum payment, or guaranteed revenue from stream duration alone. The general Watch Page rule applies to live streams, but YouTube does not provide a universal per-view or per-hour rate, or a calculator for an individual stream.
