A Browse AI task is one robot execution—not one robot, one page forever, or a fixed number of rows. Credits pay for the work that execution performs: the target site’s credit class, rows, screenshots, and captured text all matter. To estimate how many runs a plan covers, calculate the credits for each run and multiply by how often and how many pages your monitors check.
What is a Browse AI task?
A task is one execution of a robot. The robot is the configured automation; each time you run it, Browse AI stores the task’s details and extracted data. Input parameters can let the same robot handle different runs, but they do not turn those runs into a single task. See Browse AI’s API documentation.
Monitor checks and workflow-triggered runs also execute tasks. For example, Browse AI’s API documentation estimates that monitoring one page daily requires about 30 tasks per month. That is a run count, not a promise that the month will cost exactly 30 credits: credit use depends on what each run captures and the site’s classification.
How are Browse AI credits calculated?
Credits reflect both the amount of data captured and the cost of extracting it from the target site. Browse AI’s Help Center, in its March 13, 2026 article, gives these rates:
#1 Best Overall
- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
| Usage | Standard site | Premium site |
|---|---|---|
| Minimum per task | 1 credit | 2–10 credits |
| Rows | 10 rows per credit | 10 rows cost 2–10 credits |
| Screenshots | 1 screenshot per credit | 1 screenshot costs 2–10 credits |
| Captured text | 10 single text values per credit | 10 single text values cost 2–10 credits |
These are Browse AI’s published rules, not independent measurements. A Premium site has a higher minimum and higher per-unit cost; Browse AI says bot detection, CAPTCHAs, complex or dynamic structures, and access restrictions can contribute to that classification. The range is not an exact rate you can infer just from a URL, so use the classification and actual usage shown for your robot and workspace. Details are in Browse AI’s credit-calculation article.
Examples of credit use
- 50 rows from one standard-site list page: 50 rows at 0.1 credit per row equals 5 credits, according to Browse AI’s example.
- 20 product detail pages: If the robot visits each page as a separate task and each is at the standard-site minimum, that is 20 tasks and at least 20 credits.
- A list plus its detail pages: Extracting 100 product links costs 10 credits for the list in Browse AI’s example. Visiting each of the 100 detail pages adds 100 credits at the one-credit minimum, for 110 total.
- Monitoring 10 detail pages every three days: Browse AI estimates 10 credits per check and about 100 credits per month for its standard-site example.
These examples depend on their stated site class and captured data; they are not guaranteed totals for every robot or target.

How do monitoring schedules affect task limits?
Estimate runs first, then estimate credits. For a monitor that checks a fixed set of pages, multiply the number of pages by checks per month to estimate task executions. Then multiply each run’s estimated credit use by its frequency. A daily check of one page is about 30 tasks monthly in Browse AI’s API example; monitoring multiple pages multiplies the executions accordingly.
- List every monitored page or detail page. Each page execution may be a separate task.
- Count scheduled checks per month for each page. Include workflow-triggered or manual runs if they are part of expected usage.
- Estimate rows, screenshots, and captured text per execution.
- Apply the relevant standard or Premium rate and minimum, then total the monthly credit estimate.
- Compare that estimate with the allowance on the workspace’s plan and adjust it using observed usage.
A bulk run can launch up to 50,000 tasks at once, according to Browse AI’s API documentation. That is an execution capability, not 50,000 included tasks or credits. The plan allowance still determines how much work the account can fund.

What plan allowances does Browse AI publish?
Browse AI’s Help Center plan article, dated March 13, 2026, lists the following current configurations and excludes legacy plans. These are published allowances; they do not guarantee every workspace can select every configuration.
| Plan | Published credit configurations | Websites | Users |

For the offer and price currently available to your account, check Browse AI’s pricing page and the workspace Billing page. The Help Center figures describe configurations, while the public pricing page displays selected configurations and USD prices; neither should be treated as a permanent offer for every account.

How do monthly credits, annual credits, and top-ups work?
Monthly and annual allowances
Browse AI says monthly subscriptions use their stated monthly allowance. Annual subscriptions provide the full annual credit allocation upfront for use during the subscription term, without a separate monthly use cap. The credit article says unused credits do not roll over after the billing period ends. Check the terms shown for your own plan before relying on a particular allowance.
Additional credits
The plan article describes added credits as one-time purchases, with a 1,000-credit minimum for the plan cases it details. Its monthly add-on rates do not fully match details displayed on the pricing page, so there is no single universal top-up rate to quote. Review the amount and terms shown in your workspace’s Billing page before buying.

Legacy subscriptions
The published current-plan table does not describe legacy subscriptions. Browse AI says a legacy plan is marked with the word “Legacy” in the plan name on the Billing page. Use that workspace view—not the current standard-plan table—to understand your account’s allowance and charges. See Browse AI’s plan and pricing article.
How to tell whether an allowance will cover your monitoring
Do not equate a plan’s credits with the same number of tasks. One standard-site task can meet the one-credit minimum, but a task that captures more rows, screenshots, or text can cost more; a Premium-site task starts at a higher minimum.
- Separate pages: Count detail pages individually when the robot visits each as a separate task.
- Capture size: Include rows, screenshots, and text values in the estimate instead of assuming only the task minimum applies.
- Site class: Use the applicable standard or Premium rate; do not assume a site’s category without checking actual usage.
- Schedule: Multiply by checks per month, including workflow and manual executions where relevant.
- Account terms: Confirm whether credits are monthly or annual, which configuration your account can select, and what extra credits cost in Billing.
After the monitor runs, compare estimated and actual usage in the account’s reporting and revise the estimate. A fixed credit forecast for a site is unreliable until you know how Browse AI classifies it and what the robot captures.
Or skip the browser setup
If your goal is to capture web pages rather than run extraction robots, ScreenshotNeo is a screenshot API and MCP server for developers. A single GET request returns an image or PDF; its cleaning steps accept consent banners and remove known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets before capture. Only clean shots are billed: bot checks or CAPTCHAs, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits cost nothing, with the result stated in response headers. AI agents can use its MCP server to take screenshots.
