BPL Medical Technologies is reported to be targeting ₹2,000 crore in revenue by 2032, with critical care and imaging among the areas it plans to expand. The figure is a forward-looking company ambition reported by Whalesbook, not an independently verified forecast: the report’s page could not be retrieved, and the other available sources do not confirm the target.

Which BPL is behind the target?

The company in this story is BPL Medical Technologies, a medical-device business incorporated in 2013. It is distinct from BPL Limited. CARE Ratings says MNI Ventures, part of the Manipal Group, acquired the full 67% stake previously held by Goldman Sachs entities in July 2024. CARE Ratings’ company assessment provides the ownership and financial context.

How does BPL plan to expand?

Critical care

BPL’s established Indian-market portfolio includes ventilators, patient monitors and anesthesia machines. In a February 2026 interview, managing director Dr Shravan Subhramanian said, “We are going deep into a couple of critical areas, especially critical care.” This describes the company’s stated strategic priority, not a measure of sales or market share.

Imaging

The company is active in ultrasound and X-ray. Subhramanian said, “On the imaging side, we have been active in ultrasound and X-ray.” He also described a fully AI-enabled X-ray system with diagnostic software embedded in the machine, and an acquisition of a South Korean company specializing in bone mineral analysis. These are executive statements about product and portfolio activity; they do not independently establish clinical performance or commercial results.

Connected health and respiratory diagnostics

In an interview last updated August 10, 2026, CEO Guruswamy Krishnamoorthy described a strategy combining medical devices, software, AI-enabled technology and clinical workflows. He said, “BPL’s next phase of growth is anchored in expanding its portfolio beyond medical equipment to offer integrated digital healthcare solutions.” He identified advanced imaging, critical care, patient monitoring, respiratory diagnostics and connected digital health as opportunity areas.

Krishnamoorthy also discussed a respiratory-diagnostics partnership with Jaeger Medical and the BPL Vent 300. He said the ventilator supports invasive and non-invasive ventilation, as well as high-flow nasal cannula therapy, for adult, pediatric and infant patients. These capabilities are as described by the company executive.

What do the revenue figures show?

CARE Ratings reported audited total operating income of ₹443 crore in FY23 and ₹496 crore in FY24. Those figures give historical scale, but they are not evidence that the company is on track to reach its reported ₹2,000 crore revenue ambition. Operating income and revenue are also not necessarily interchangeable measures.

The reported target implies a substantial increase from FY24, but the available sources do not establish audited current-year revenue or the assumptions behind the 2032 goal. Treat ₹2,000 crore as an attributed ambition, not a verified projection.

What could affect execution?

CARE Ratings identifies reliance on hospital capital-expenditure plans, foreign-exchange movements, working-capital intensity and competition from established international companies as risks for the business. Hospital equipment purchases can depend on institutional investment cycles, while currency movements and working-capital demands can affect costs and cash needs.

In a 2025 press release, CARE Ratings expected average operating-income growth of about 20% in FY26–27 as manufacturing ramps up and new products are introduced. That is the ratings agency’s expectation for those fiscal years—not a realized result or a company guarantee, and not confirmation of the 2032 target.

What is established—and what is not?

  • Reported ambition: Whalesbook’s search-result excerpt gives a ₹2,000 crore revenue goal by 2032. Its page could not be opened, and the figure is not independently confirmed by the other sources.
  • Documented context: CARE Ratings reports FY23 and FY24 operating income, ownership information and business risks; executive interviews describe BPL’s product and strategy priorities.
  • Not established: The available information does not verify the assumptions, current financial trajectory or likelihood of achieving the 2032 goal.
