Colorlib’s September 28, 2026 roundup describes its snippets as plain HTML and CSS, usable standalone or in Bootstrap 4, 5 or 6 projects. That is the publisher’s description—not an independent test of the V05 download—so check the package, assets and license before building it into a site.

Colorlib describes V05 as “Light and compact enough that it does not add a second screen of scrolling.” Its listed elements are:

The appeal is its limited content and light treatment. It is a candidate for a site that needs a small closing area rather than several link groups, prominent social buttons or a large call to action. Colorlib’s description does not establish a particular height, performance result, accessibility level or subscription conversion rate.

Is V05 the right footer for your site?
Choose based on the content the footer must carry and the space it should take—not on the version number alone. The variants named in Colorlib’s roundup have different visual styles and content density:

These are descriptions, not comparative tests. Before choosing, decide whether the footer needs grouped links, signup or social elements, and whether a light or dark style fits the page. If you need more navigation than one row can hold, a denser layout may be a better starting point.

How to adapt and integrate the template
Colorlib’s general setup guidance for HTML footer templates is to download the files, organize the markup, stylesheets, scripts and assets, customize the content, check paths, test the result and upload it. The following is a general integration workflow, not a report of a tested V05 installation. The roundup characterizes the snippets as plain HTML and CSS and says they can be used standalone or with Bootstrap 4, 5 or 6; inspect the actual package to confirm what it contains and depends on.
- Obtain and inspect the package. Confirm that the download destination is the intended V05 files, and note the included HTML, CSS, images, icons and any scripts or external dependencies.
- Place files in your project. Keep the markup, stylesheet and assets in locations that make sense for your site, then update references in the HTML or CSS to match those locations.
- Edit the footer content. Replace the logo and navigation destinations, write the copyright line appropriate to your site, and remove or adjust anything you do not need.
- Connect the email opt-in if you want subscriptions. The description establishes that an opt-in element is present; it does not establish a working backend, email-list provider, consent wording or form handling. Connect it to your chosen service and test the complete submission flow. Static markup by itself does not store addresses.
- Check the rendered page. Open the page at different viewport widths and in the browsers your audience uses. Confirm that the footer fits the page, the links work, the logo and other assets load, and the form behaves as intended.
- Deploy the change. Upload the updated files using your usual deployment process; Colorlib’s general guide mentions FTP or a hosting provider’s file manager as possible methods.
Check the license for the actual download
The available license reference in the source material is BootstrapMade’s general license page, not a V05 or Colorlib license. BootstrapMade says of its Free License: “You must keep the footer credit line as is”. Its page also describes restrictions and included features for BootstrapMade templates. Those terms apply to BootstrapMade’s offerings, not automatically to this component. Read BootstrapMade’s license information only as an example of why template terms can differ.

Before using V05, identify the actual vendor and read the current license included with or linked from that specific download. Do not assume another vendor’s credit, client-work or redistribution rules apply to it. The available V05 description does not establish its package-specific license.
