Rewind is a medium-sized, Core 6v6 map in Liberty Shopping Plaza near Liberty Falls, West Virginia. Its two outer lanes connect through six routes, with the Video Store at the center. Learn the connectors as well as the lanes: moving between them is central to navigating the map, though the best route depends on your mode and the fight in front of you.
How do you play Rewind in Black Ops 6?
Start by learning the two outer lanes and the routes that link them. Call of Duty describes Rewind as a map where the lanes connect through and around shops; its map guide counts six crossing options. That layout suggests treating the connectors as potential rotation paths rather than assuming each side is isolated. This is a reading of the published map layout, not a claim of tested match performance.

The Video Store is the central control area. Its corners, elevated angles, cover, and flanking opportunities make it useful for contesting objectives and shifting between routes. Call of Duty notes that controlling the whole store takes teamwork and can help teams lock down situations; that is official tactical guidance, not a guarantee of an outcome.

- Street: The north-spawn-side lane stretches across the map and offers long sightlines. Parked vehicles and the Drive-Thru dumpster can break lines of sight and provide cover.
- Back Alley: An RV divides the alley. The route connects to several important areas and can help control eastern approaches.
- Video Store: The central shop offers cover, elevated angles, and opportunities to flank. Coordinate with teammates if you want to control more than one part of it.
- Freedom Fried Chicken Drive-Thru: This off-center position has cover. The official Intel Card describes it as offering fewer enemy flanking opportunities than the Video Store.
- Salon: One of the map guide’s named points of interest; use the in-game map to orient yourself to its location and nearby connections.
Use the named tactical routes as orientation points
The official guide calls out Courtyard Rotation (Alpha), “C” Street Sniper Lane (Beta), and Beepers/Cleaners Throughline (Gamma). It describes the Courtyard as a main rotation area linking the Video Store, Back Alley, and Street. These names are useful landmarks for communicating movement and watching approaches; check the in-game map for their positions.

Where is the B flag on Rewind?
In Domination, the B flag is indoors on Rewind. The Call of Duty mode guide recommends considering a Shotgun or SMG when fighting for that flag, where close engagements are likely. This is a situational official recommendation, not evidence that either weapon has a measured advantage.
Objective positions differ by mode. Rewind supports Hardpoint, Domination, and Search & Destroy; use the in-game map or the mode interface to confirm objective locations. The official map information here does not establish a current Hardpoint rotation sequence.

What are the best routes on Rewind?
There is no single best route for every mode or situation. Use the outer lanes for orientation, then choose among the six connections to reach objectives, change sides, or avoid an exposed sightline. The Street’s long views reward attention to parked vehicles and dumpster cover; the Back Alley’s RV divides the approach; and the Courtyard Rotation provides a documented connection between three key areas.
For central control, the Video Store offers several angles but also exposes players to flanks. The Drive-Thru is an alternative covered position that the official Intel Card describes as less vulnerable to enemy flanking. Treat these as differences in layout, not universal claims about which position wins more fights.

What loadout should you use on Rewind?
Call of Duty’s map guide offers three role-based starting points. They are suggestions, not a tested ranking or proof of the current meta; effectiveness can change with game balance and player preference.

For the indoor Domination B fight, the mode guide’s Shotgun-or-SMG suggestion points toward close-range choices. The Fire Sale C9 setup is one official SMG example, but the guide does not establish that it outperforms other options.

What is established—and what is not
Call of Duty classifies Rewind as Core 6v6 and describes its geometry and suggested setups. The official pages do not provide a Rewind-specific win rate, weapon-use share, average match duration, or controlled loadout comparison. Accordingly, the route advice above follows from documented map connections, while weapon descriptions reflect the roles Call of Duty assigns to its examples rather than independently measured performance.
