Bitwise said its spot NEAR ETF, ticker NRR, would begin trading on NYSE Arca on September 29, 2026. Separately, TechBullion reported on October 2 that Remittix plans to debut RTX on November 24. The ETF details come from Bitwise and its prospectus; the RTX date and related product claims are secondary reporting, not independently confirmed here.

When did the NEAR Protocol ETF debut?

Bitwise announced the Bitwise NEAR ETF (NYSE: NRR) and said trading on NYSE Arca would begin September 29, 2026. The fund is designed to provide spot exposure to NEAR. Its stated primary objective is to reflect the value of the NEAR it holds, less expenses; a secondary objective is to derive additional NEAR through staking.

Bitwise disclosed a 0.75% management fee. The sponsor also said it intends to stake the fund’s NEAR in-house. Staking rewards accrue to the trust and are reflected in its net asset value (NAV) per share; they are not described as a guaranteed cash payment to shareholders.

Bitwise cited an approximate 5% average staking reward rate based on an annualized rate as of September 25, 2026, using official NEAR onchain metrics. That figure is an estimate of the rate at that time, not fund performance or a promised return. Bitwise cautions that staking rewards are not guaranteed and can change.

What risks come with NRR?

NRR provides ETF shares, not direct ownership of NEAR in a personal wallet. The prospectus warns that the trust is exposed to NEAR’s price volatility, liquidity and regulatory risks, and risks tied to blockchain technology. Staking adds risks including lost rewards, slashing penalties and operational uncertainty. Bitwise does not guarantee the strategy will generate positive returns.

ETF shares trade on the market, where their price may differ from the trust’s NAV. That means an investor’s purchase or sale price may not exactly match the value of the fund’s underlying NEAR holdings per share.

When will Remittix launch RTX?

TechBullion reported on October 2, 2026, that Remittix planned an RTX debut for November 24. That date is a reported plan, not confirmation that the launch has taken place or will occur as scheduled. It was not independently corroborated by a Remittix primary source here.

What Remittix products can buyers follow before launch?

The same TechBullion article reported that Remittix’s iOS wallet and Markets platform were available, and that PayFi testing was opening to invited existing holders. Those availability and testing claims are attributable to TechBullion and were not independently verified here. The report also included a presale allocation call to action; that promotional language is not evidence of product status or a recommendation.

How does an ETF differ from holding NEAR directly?

Consideration NRR ETF shares Direct NEAR ownership
What you hold Shares in a trust designed to provide exposure to NEAR’s value. NEAR tokens held directly; the holder is responsible for custody and wallet operations.
Fees Bitwise disclosed a 0.75% management fee. Not applicable to direct token ownership as a fund management fee; other network or service costs may depend on how tokens are held or used.
Staking Bitwise intends to stake the trust’s NEAR; rewards accrue through NAV and are not guaranteed. Whether and how to stake depends on the holder’s chosen method and applicable network or service terms.
Trading and valuation ETF shares trade at market prices, which may differ from NAV. Tokens trade in the digital-asset market; pricing and access depend on the venue or method used.
Risks Includes NEAR price and market risks, plus fund, staking, regulatory and operational risks described in the prospectus. Includes token-price and custody or operational risks; specific risks depend on the holder’s arrangements.

These are different ways to obtain exposure, not interchangeable products. NRR adds fund-level fees and market-price/NAV dynamics, while direct ownership places wallet and custody responsibilities on the holder. The reported Remittix launch and product claims do not establish a comparable ETF or direct-token alternative.
