For a prerecorded video that should feel like a shared event, Vimeo simulive is the closest documented alternative to YouTube Premiere: it schedules playback and supports live chat, Q&A, and polls. For a video that simply needs to become public at a set time, Dailymotion offers scheduled publication. If you want an encoder-led broadcast, schedule a YouTube Live event or consider a prerecorded-stream service such as OneStream Live or Upstream. None of these should be treated as a complete, like-for-like replacement for every part of YouTube Premiere.
What are you replacing: scheduled availability or a premiere event?
YouTube Premiere combines a scheduled start with an advance public watch page, viewer reminders, a countdown, and live chat. The audience watches the video together; viewers can rewind but cannot skip ahead past the point reached in the shared playback. After the event, the video remains on the channel as a regular upload, and chat replay may be available. (YouTube Help, “Premiere a new video”.)
That combination matters when choosing an alternative. A scheduled publication makes a video public at a chosen time, but does not necessarily bring the countdown, reminders, synchronized viewing, or live conversation that make a Premiere an event. A scheduled livestream can add a live-event workflow, but it requires broadcasting rather than simply scheduling an uploaded video.

Access is plan- and workflow-dependent: Vimeo Help Center says automatic prerecorded events are supported through its web-based production tool for live events and webinars with Advanced or Premium access, or Enterprise with Events. Confirm current plan availability directly with Vimeo before selecting a plan; pricing is not included here because the cited material does not establish a current price.

Vimeo distinguishes this from a true live stream: “True live streams broadcast a real-time camera feed. Simulive broadcasts a pre-recorded video on a scheduled start time, with live chat, Q&A, and polls running alongside the playback.” This is Vimeo’s own definition. It is useful for understanding the product, but it is a vendor description rather than an independent assessment.
Dailymotion: schedule when public availability is enough
Dailymotion’s documented option is straightforward: set a video to private and choose when it should become public. You can also set an end date. Dailymotion Help Center, updated July 30, 2026, says the scheduled publication time overrides the video’s privacy setting and that a video with an end date is deleted seven days after that date.

This suits a release that needs a timed public start without the requirement for everyone to watch in sync. The cited scheduling documentation does not describe the same advance watch page, countdown, reminders, or live-chat package as YouTube Premiere. Dailymotion’s feature list, updated September 12, 2026, describes publication controls as well as VOD and live-streaming capabilities; check the current product documentation for details relevant to your account.
Scheduled YouTube Live: a broadcast workaround, not an uploaded Premiere
A scheduled YouTube Live event can be promoted with a shareable URL and reminders. To broadcast, connect an encoder with YouTube’s stream URL and stream key. This is appropriate when you specifically want a livestream workflow, including sending prerecorded footage through an encoder, but it adds a production step: the broadcast must be sent at the event time. It is not the same as uploading a video, scheduling it, and checking “Set as Premiere.”

YouTube Help says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Because platform limits and setup instructions can change, confirm the current YouTube Live guidance before relying on an archive or planning a long broadcast.

That makes it a candidate if you need a managed broadcast workflow rather than a native Premiere page. Why Facebook Premiere is not in the current shortlist
The Church of England reported that Facebook Premieres became unavailable on August 22, 2022.
