For a mostly static Marathi songs stream, start with 1080p at 30 fps, H.264, RTMPS, CBR, 14 Mbps video, a 2-second keyframe interval, and AAC stereo at 44.1 kHz and 128 Kbps. If your upload connection or encoder cannot sustain that reliably, use 720p30 at 8 Mbps instead. These are YouTube’s recommended encoder settings, not a guarantee that any particular connection will hold a 24/7 broadcast.
Recommended YouTube Live settings for Marathi songs
These settings suit a music programme with a still image, album art, or gentle visual movement. The bitrate figures below are YouTube recommendations for H.264, not independently measured results. YouTube’s guidance was checked on October 3, 2026; confirm its current recommendations before configuring an encoder because platform guidance can change. YouTube’s live encoder settings cover supported formats and recommended values.
| Setting | Starting value | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Ingest | RTMPS | YouTube recommends RTMPS for the connection from your encoder to YouTube. |
| Video codec | H.264, progressive | Use a codec supported by both your encoder and workflow. YouTube also supports H.265/HEVC and AV1 for RTMP/RTMPS ingestion. |
| Resolution and frame rate | 1080p, 30 fps | A practical choice for a static or gently animated music visual; 30 fps is an editorial recommendation, not a YouTube rule. |
| Video rate control | CBR | CBR is listed in YouTube’s live encoder guidance. |
| Video bitrate | 14 Mbps at 1080p30; 8 Mbps at 720p30 | YouTube’s recommended H.264 video bitrates for these profiles. |
| Keyframe interval | 2 seconds | YouTube recommends 2 seconds and says not to exceed 4 seconds. |
| Audio | AAC stereo, 44.1 kHz, 128 Kbps | Use these YouTube advanced audio settings for a stereo music stream. |
| SDR color | Rec. 709 | YouTube’s recommended SDR color setting. |
YouTube transcodes the incoming feed into playback formats for viewers using different devices and network conditions. Sending a higher-resolution feed does not ensure a better experience if your encoder or upload connection cannot sustain it.

Use 1080p30 when the connection has capacity to spare
At YouTube’s recommended 14 Mbps video bitrate, the connection must also carry audio and network overhead. YouTube advises keeping about 20% upload bandwidth headroom and says the total stream bitrate must fit within available upload capacity. Measure outbound upload speed rather than download speed, and consider other people or devices sharing the connection. The 20% headroom is YouTube guidance checked October 3, 2026, not a measurement of your network. See YouTube’s streaming tips.

Use 720p30 when 1080p is not dependable
At 8 Mbps recommended video bitrate, 720p30 is the lower-bandwidth alternative. Prefer a steady lower-resolution stream to a 1080p feed that repeatedly loses connection. A fast-motion visual may benefit from a test at a different frame rate, but music artwork and a mostly static visual usually do not need 60 fps.
Test the actual programme, not just a speed-test result
Run a private or unlisted test with representative audio, transitions, and visual motion. Watch YouTube’s stream-health notices and listen for clipping, silence, or gaps. A speed test is only a snapshot; it does not establish that the connection will remain stable all day. YouTube advises testing and monitoring stream health, and notes that connectivity disruptions can break a stream. Its live guidance suggests setting up an encoder at least two hours before an event and starting at least 15 minutes early for scheduled streams; for a 24/7 channel, use those as preflight guidance and establish your own restart procedure. See YouTube’s streaming tips and live streaming tips.

Set up the encoder and YouTube stream key
- Confirm channel eligibility. In YouTube Studio, verify that live streaming is enabled for the channel. YouTube says a channel must be verified and must not have had a live-streaming restriction in the past 90 days; a person must be at least 16 to live stream. Check YouTube’s current eligibility guidance at YouTube Help.
- Create or open the live stream in YouTube Studio. Use the stream setup shown in Studio and select an encoder workflow. Follow the current on-screen instructions for the stream URL and key; interface labels can change.
- Protect the stream key. Treat it like a password: do not publish it in a video, chat, screenshot, or shared document. Enter it only in the encoder or service that should broadcast to your channel. If it is exposed, replace or reset it in YouTube Studio before continuing.
- Configure the encoder. Set RTMPS, H.264 progressive video, CBR, the selected resolution and bitrate, a 2-second keyframe interval, and AAC stereo audio at 44.1 kHz and 128 Kbps. Set SDR color to Rec. 709 when applicable.
- Start a test and inspect the preview. Confirm that the correct channel receives the feed, the video is not cropped or frozen, and the audio is audible and steady. Check both the channel and watch page, including on a mobile device.
- Test interruptions and recovery. Restart the encoder and, if you use backup encoding, test failover rather than assuming it works. Verify any local recording by playing it back. YouTube recommends testing backup-encoder failover and checking archive files in its live streaming tips.
Plan sessions and recordings around YouTube’s 12-hour limit
A continuous 24/7 broadcast is not a dependable way to create a complete YouTube replay. YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived; a stream longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all. YouTube also warns that DVR rewind may be limited or unavailable for streams longer than 12 hours. These are YouTube Help limits checked October 3, 2026. See YouTube’s archive guidance and DVR guidance.
If a complete replay or rewind matters, plan separate sessions shorter than 12 hours and make a local recording. This adds operational work: someone or a reliable process must end and restart sessions, and local storage must be sufficient for the recordings. YouTube recommends keeping a local archive backup. If uninterrupted channel presence matters more than a complete replay, understand that a single stream past the 12-hour mark may not yield a full archive.

Clear music rights before going live
For a Marathi songs channel, rights clearance is a core technical and operational requirement. YouTube’s Livestream Terms and Conditions state: “You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights for the exploitation of the Live Content on the Google Services throughout the world, including, without limitation, music licensing rights from artists, record labels, publishers (including public performance licenses) and any other royalty participants.” Read YouTube’s livestream terms and confirm the rights cover the specific songs and intended use.
YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. If it detects such content, it may replace the stream with a placeholder image and warn the streamer; if the material remains, YouTube may interrupt or terminate the stream. If you have permission to use third-party music, ask the rights holder to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist where applicable. A licence alone may not prevent interruption if the channel is not allowlisted. Details are in YouTube’s copyright guidance for live streams.

YouTube identifies public-domain music and music used with permission from the copyright owner as copyright-safe options. Its Audio Library is an official resource, but check the actual terms for any music you use: livestream use, territories, duration, archived replay, and monetization may have separate conditions. Do not assume that “free” means cleared for every use or that a licence bought elsewhere will resolve Content ID detection.
Choose an encoder approach for unattended operation
YouTube supports software encoding and recommends professional-grade hardware encoders for higher-production-value events. A software encoder may be suitable if the computer can reliably encode your chosen profile and remain powered, connected, and supervised. A hardware encoder can be considered when dedicated equipment better fits your unattended setup, but the right model depends on codec, resolution, budget, and existing equipment; YouTube does not name a best model. See YouTube’s encoder guidance and live streaming tips.

If local power interruptions are a known problem, a UPS is a possible mitigation for the encoder and network equipment, but YouTube does not specify or recommend a UPS capacity. A UPS also cannot prevent an internet outage or a YouTube-side interruption.
Troubleshoot common 24/7 stream problems
| Symptom | Likely cause | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Stream health warns of instability or viewers see buffering | Insufficient or fluctuating upload capacity, competing network use, or an encoder bitrate that is too high for the connection | Check outbound capacity while the stream is active, reduce bitrate or resolution to the 720p30 profile if needed, and preserve YouTube’s recommended upload headroom. |
| Video appears but music is silent or distorted | Incorrect audio device, channel layout, sample rate, or gain | Confirm the encoder is receiving the intended audio, set AAC stereo at 44.1 kHz and 128 Kbps, and listen to a test on the watch page. |
| Encoder is live but the wrong channel or event receives it | Wrong stream key or an outdated key | Compare the selected stream in Studio with the encoder destination. Replace an exposed key and update the encoder that uses it. |
| Live feed is replaced, interrupted, or terminated | Third-party content detected, including music not cleared for the live use or a channel not allowlisted by the rights holder | Review rights for each track, contact the rights holder about Content ID allowlisting, and remove material you cannot establish rights to use. |
| No complete replay appears after a long broadcast | The stream exceeded YouTube’s 12-hour archive threshold | Use sessions under 12 hours when archive completeness matters and record locally. |
| Stream does not resume after a network or encoder restart | Recovery or failover has not been configured or tested | Test restart behavior before relying on it; monitor stream health and verify any backup encoder failover. |
Or let it run in the cloud
If maintaining an encoder and home connection is the part you want to avoid, StreamNeo keeps an uploaded-video YouTube stream running from the cloud: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. Nothing has to stay on at home. StreamNeo plays uploaded videos, not a live camera feed, and streams to YouTube only.
