Before putting a channel on a loop
Only use video and audio you have the rights to stream. A free trial or a cloud service does not grant music, video, or other copyright permissions. Does YouTube TV have a free trial?
Yes. The official plans information reviewed lists a five-day free trial for the main plan. It also lists five-day trials for the Sports and News + Entertainment plans. YouTube TV’s Help information says trial lengths vary by plan, so do not assume that every account or offer receives the same duration.

YouTube TV says a free trial may be available to new subscribers who have not previously redeemed one. At signup, a card authorization may appear. When the trial converts to a paid membership, the account is charged the standard plan price plus any subscribed add-ons. Check the displayed end date and renewal details before confirming signup.
YouTube TV says that cancelling during the trial does not end access immediately: access remains through the trial period. If you do not want a paid membership, cancel before the displayed trial end and verify the account shows the cancellation.
How to decide which live-TV trial is worth trying
- Check your local lineup first. YouTube TV’s broadcast, cable and regional sports availability depends on location. Hulu also says local, regional and national channel availability varies by area and may change. Enter your ZIP code where offered and confirm the specific channels you watch.
- Compare the full post-trial bill. Look beyond a temporary offer: confirm the standard monthly price, taxes if applicable, and any paid add-ons. For YouTube TV, the plan prices listed above are not a guarantee of the offer shown to every subscriber at checkout.
- Match the package to your viewing. Check the actual sports, news and entertainment channels in the chosen plan rather than relying on a general channel-count headline.
