Smush’s listing excerpt describes compression, bulk optimization, lazy loading, and WebP support, and its FAQ includes “How do I optimize images in WordPress with Smush?” The available details do not establish its current quota or enough plan boundaries to compare those points reliably, so check the listing before committing.
Compare formats, compression, and image quality
WebP and AVIF support differs by plugin and plan. Imagify lists both in all plans, ShortPixel lists both, and Optimole describes delivery in both formats. EWWW lists WebP conversion among free features and one-click WebP/AVIF conversion among premium features. The available Smush excerpt mentions WebP but does not establish further format or plan details.

For a store, portfolio, or photography site, test representative images at the settings you expect to use and inspect the results at their actual display sizes. A format conversion or smaller file is useful only if the visual quality remains acceptable for your content.

Bulk processing can affect a large existing library, so establish how each plugin handles the original files before starting:
