Choose a WordPress-native CRM such as Jetpack CRM, Groundhogg or FluentCRM if you want customer records and automation managed from your WordPress site. Choose HubSpot for WooCommerce if you want a hosted CRM timeline that brings orders, abandoned-cart details, website activity and email interactions together. Jetpack CRM is the clearest fit for client records and invoicing; Groundhogg and FluentCRM suit WordPress-based segmentation and email automation.

WooCommerce-native CRM or hosted CRM integration?

The first decision is where the CRM data and day-to-day work should live. WordPress-native tools keep contact records in your site’s database and run within its plugin environment. SaaS integrations send WooCommerce events to a CRM hosted by a vendor. That can reduce the infrastructure you manage, but makes the external service part of your customer-data workflow.

  • Choose a WordPress-native plugin if you prefer to manage contacts and automations in WordPress and can maintain plugin updates, backups, scheduled tasks and email sending.
  • Choose a hosted CRM integration if your team already works in that CRM or wants a vendor-hosted customer timeline and is comfortable syncing store data outside WordPress.

Neither model is automatically better for privacy, deliverability or total cost. Check what data is transferred, what the chosen plan includes and what operational work remains yours.

Directory counts are a rough visibility signal, not a measure of quality: WordPress.org’s 2026 WooCommerce CRM directory snapshot lists Jetpack CRM at 30,000+ active installations, WP ERP at 5,000+ and the HubSpot integration at 100+.

Jetpack CRM: choose it for client records and invoicing

Jetpack CRM is the most direct match when the store needs more than email campaigns: its positioning includes client records, invoices and billing, with a free WooCommerce connection. The WooCommerce Marketplace describes it as an Automattic product with more than 30 official CRM extensions and a shared support relationship.

That makes it a sensible starting point for a merchant who wants to manage customer and billing records within the WordPress environment. Before relying on it for order-driven marketing, confirm which order fields and status changes the current connection exposes, and whether the required CRM extensions are included or separately priced.

HubSpot for WooCommerce: choose it for a hosted behavioral timeline

HubSpot’s integration is the clearest fit in this comparison when staff want to see customer activity in one hosted CRM timeline. HubSpot says the timeline can include abandoned-cart details, orders, website activity and email interactions. This gives sales and marketing teams context beyond an order list.

Confirm the plan and integration configuration support the segments, automation and team access you need. The available comparison does not establish a starting price for this integration, so do not treat it as free or infer its total cost from the availability of a connector.

Groundhogg and FluentCRM: choose WordPress-native automation

Groundhogg

Groundhogg’s official WordPress.org listing says its WooCommerce integration adds search filters that can be used to build targeted segments. It is a strong candidate if the key job is grouping store contacts and running WordPress-based funnels. Its listing also notes that premium plans add support and extensions; check whether the features you need are included in the plan you choose.

FluentCRM

FluentCRM is another WordPress-native option for email marketing and automation. Jetpack’s comparison marks it as having WooCommerce integration, but does not specify the individual order events or fields available. Test the actual triggers and segmentation data you plan to use before building a campaign around them.

These plugins keep more of the CRM operation in the WordPress stack. That also means the site owner must account for backups, updates, scheduled task reliability and a dependable email-sending setup. A plugin license alone does not establish email delivery quality or inbox placement.

When an existing integration is better than adding a new CRM

If your business already uses a CRM or marketing platform, an official WooCommerce connector may be simpler than moving staff and customer data to a new system. WooCommerce’s 2026 marketplace includes extensions for Klaviyo, Salesforce, Zoho, Keap and Zapier, as well as Jetpack CRM and Mautic.

  • Klaviyo or Omnisend: consider the integration if your primary need is ecommerce marketing and your team already uses that platform. Jetpack’s comparison lists both with WooCommerce integration; confirm the events and plan limits in the specific connector.
  • Salesforce, Zoho or Keap: consider the WooCommerce extension if your team already depends on that CRM and wants store activity connected to its existing sales workflows.
  • Zapier: consider it when connecting WooCommerce to an existing toolchain is the need, rather than adopting a new CRM. Check that the required triggers and actions are supported before designing the workflow.

The WooCommerce marketplace snapshot showed example annual prices of $149 for Salesforce, $129 for Zoho, $99 for Keap and $129 for Zapier. These are marketplace extension price examples, not a complete cost of using the CRM or automation service; verify current prices and requirements before purchase.

How to choose without comparing headline prices alone

  1. List the data and events you need. Identify whether the CRM must show orders, products, customer history, abandoned carts or order-status changes, and which of those must drive segments or automations.
  2. Pick the operating model. Decide whether contacts should remain in the WordPress database or be synced to an externally hosted CRM. Include your privacy and data-retention obligations in that decision.
  3. Match the workflow to the tool. Start with Jetpack CRM for client records and invoicing, HubSpot for its hosted activity timeline, or Groundhogg and FluentCRM for WordPress-native segmentation and automation.
  4. Calculate the plan you will actually need. Check free-core limits, annual versus monthly billing, contact caps, per-user charges, required extensions and any separate email-sending costs. The listed entry price does not establish the cost at your store’s scale.
  5. Check operational responsibility. For WordPress-native options, plan for updates, backups, scheduled tasks and sending infrastructure. For hosted CRMs, verify sync behavior, user access and the vendor plan needed for your workflows.
  6. Test with representative data. Use test contacts and orders to confirm the integration transfers the right fields, handles the order events you care about and supports the intended segments before enabling live campaigns.

What to verify before deployment

  • Current compatibility with your WooCommerce and WordPress versions.
  • Exactly which order, customer, product and cart fields sync, and how often synchronization occurs.
  • Which triggers and filters are included in your chosen plan or extension.
  • Whether support, premium integrations or other required features cost extra.
  • How the integration handles duplicate contacts, failed syncs, unsubscribes and data deletion requests.
  • Who is responsible for backups, scheduled tasks, email sending and monitoring.
  • What customer information leaves your site, where it is processed and whether the setup meets your privacy obligations.

Product features and marketplace prices can change. The cited comparison snapshots are from 2025/2026 or 2026 as identified above; confirm current compatibility, plan limits and extension pricing on the relevant product or marketplace page before deploying.
