For the 2026 U.S. season, the simplest way to watch Thursday Night Football live on an Amazon Fire TV Stick is the Prime Video app. Some NFL games are also available free over the air or through a Twitch simulcast, but no single free option provides every game. For other matchups, access depends on the game, your location, and the service or TV package you have.
Choose a Fire TV Stick option by game
| Option | Live NFL access | Cost or access requirement | Fire TV Stick note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Prime Video | Amazon’s 2026 schedule includes 17 regular-season Thursday Night Football games and a Wild Card game. | Included with a Prime membership; Amazon’s 2026 U.S. guide lists $14.99 per month or $139 per year and mentions a 30-day trial. Confirm current terms when signing up. | Amazon lists Fire TV and Fire TV Stick among supported devices. Amazon’s Prime Video viewing guide. |
| Twitch | Amazon says TNF games also have a live Twitch simulcast. | Amazon describes it as an additional stream; the specific app and device availability should be checked for your Fire TV Stick model. | Amazon confirms the simulcast, but does not establish Fire TV Stick app availability in the cited schedule guide. Amazon’s 2026 TNF schedule guide. |
| Over-the-air antenna | TNF is available over the air in the two competing teams’ home markets. Other local broadcast games may also be available by antenna. | Depends on the game, your market, antenna, and reception. | The cited TNF information confirms availability in the teams’ home markets, not reception at a particular address. Amazon’s 2026 TNF schedule guide. |
| NFL Channel | Game-day updates, replays, shows, and other NFL programming; it does not carry live NFL games. | Free on Amazon partner platforms and other listed services. | NFL says the channel is available through its connected-TV app and partner platforms, including Amazon. NFL Channel FAQ. |
| Local FOX or CBS | Local Sunday games, depending on the matchup and market. | The NFL’s viewing guide lists FOX with TV-provider credentials and CBS games through Paramount+. | Check the app, local game, and subscription access before relying on a particular broadcast. NFL’s ways-to-watch guide. |
| NBC / Peacock or ESPN | Sunday Night Football on NBC or Peacock; Monday Night Football on ESPN. | Peacock is a paid service; the NFL guide describes ESPN access with a pay-TV subscription. | Verify current app and plan access for your account. NFL’s ways-to-watch guide. |
| NFL+ | Live local and primetime games on mobile, plus audio, replays, and other NFL content. | The NFL describes two tiers; availability depends on the tier and its terms. | The cited NFL guide frames live game viewing as mobile access, so it does not establish live-game support on Fire TV Stick. NFL’s ways-to-watch guide. |
| NFL Sunday Ticket | Out-of-market Sunday afternoon games through YouTube or YouTube TV. | Package availability and pricing should be checked at purchase time. | Confirm app compatibility and package scope for your location. NFL’s ways-to-watch guide. |

Amazon says viewers can opt into recording the entire TNF season. With that option, viewers can pause, rewind, fast-forward, and watch full replays; recordings are cloud-stored through the start of the following NFL season. Without opting in, viewers can still pause and fast-forward, and rewind 15 minutes from the point they joined the stream. Amazon’s Prime Video viewing guide.

What you can watch for free
Twitch simulcasts and antenna broadcasts
Amazon says each 2026 TNF game also streams live on Twitch and is available over the air in the two competing teams’ home markets. These are game-specific routes, not a free way to watch the full NFL schedule. The Amazon schedule guide confirms the simulcast and market availability; it does not establish Twitch app support for every Fire TV Stick model or whether an antenna can receive a signal at your address. NFL Channel programming
The free NFL Channel is useful for NFL programming, game-day updates, replays, and shows, but it does not stream live NFL games. It is available through the NFL connected-TV app and partner platforms, including Amazon. NFL Channel FAQ.

Locality, subscription, and TV-provider credentials affect which matchup you can watch. The NFL also notes that game availability depends on the specific provider subscription, and broadcast assignments can be affected by flex scheduling and local rights.
