Start with tracks from YouTube Studio’s Audio Library, check each track’s license, and keep its attribution and permission details. For Indian music that is not available there, use music you created or have explicit permission to use; do not assume a track is safe for continuous livestreaming because it is labelled “free,” “royalty-free” or “no copyright.”
Then plan for platform claims and stream interruptions. A license can give you permission to use music without preventing an automated claim, and no source can guarantee a claim-free stream.

Choose music with rights that cover your stream
Start with YouTube Studio’s Audio Library
In YouTube Studio, open Audio Library and search by keyword, genre, mood, artist or duration. Inspect the license field for every track. YouTube describes its Audio Library music and sound effects as copyright-safe and says Audio Library downloads will not be claimed through Content ID. It also says new releases are added twice a month; save the track details and terms shown when you download, because selections and terms can change. YouTube’s Audio Library guidance
Some Audio Library tracks use Creative Commons licenses and require attribution in the video description. Copy the attribution text shown in that track’s license panel. If you want to avoid managing attribution, use the Audio Library filter for tracks that do not require it.

For music from elsewhere, verify the actual license
YouTube identifies original music, Creator Music in certain regions, and third-party libraries as possible alternatives, but says to check the terms. A general “royalty-free” or “free” label does not establish permission for a continuous YouTube livestream. Verify that the written license covers livestreaming, repeated or continuous playback, monetization if you intend to monetize, the territories where viewers may watch, and the platform itself. YouTube’s own definition of safe music is music in the public domain or music used with the copyright owner’s permission. YouTube’s tips for finding safe music
When a song has multiple contributors or rights holders, make sure the permission covers the rights needed for every relevant part of the recording and composition. If the license is unclear or the commercial stakes are significant, consult a qualified rights professional rather than treating a catalog description as legal advice.
Keep a rights record for every track
Make a spreadsheet or folder before assembling the rotation. Record the details track by track, not just the name of the library or playlist:
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems- Track title, artist and source.
- License version or date permission was granted, plus a copy of the license or written permission.
- Whether YouTube livestreaming and continuous or repeated playback are allowed.
- Whether monetization is allowed and any territory or platform limits.
- Required attribution text and where you placed it.
- Contact details or other proof of permission, and any conditions for handling a claim.
This record helps you respond if a claim appears; a video description that calls a song free is not proof of rights. YouTube explains its copyright systems and the distinction between claims and other copyright actions in its Copyright on YouTube guidance.

Build and operate the 24/7 rotation
Prepare the playlist and description
Use only tracks whose terms you have checked. For Creative Commons Audio Library tracks, include the exact attribution text in the video description. Keep your track-level rights record separately so you can locate the relevant permission quickly if a platform notice arrives. Do not rely on a disclaimer or a “no copyright” statement to establish authorization.
Schedule, test and monitor the live event
YouTube’s Live Streaming API can schedule broadcasts, associate events with stream objects and manage state transitions. That API documentation describes event management; it does not prescribe a particular 24/7 hardware setup or guarantee uninterrupted service. Test the workflow you choose, monitor the active broadcast and have a plan to restore it after an outage. YouTube Live Streaming API overview
Keep an eye on YouTube Studio and your email for copyright notices. If a claim arrives, consult the platform notice and your saved rights evidence before responding. A track’s presence in an apparently safe catalog does not guarantee that no claim or strike will occur; YouTube itself cautions that its listed options cannot guarantee avoidance of copyright issues. The Copyright Act, 1957 defines “communication to the public” broadly as making a work or performance available for public enjoyment by display or diffusion, including simultaneous communication and access at individually chosen times. The cited chapter of the Copyright Rules, 2013 describes advance notice and royalty provisions for a broadcasting organization communicating published literary or musical works and sound recordings under the referenced statutory route. Those provisions do not establish that every individual YouTube creator or continuous livestream qualifies for that route, nor do they identify the rights needed for a particular catalogue. Do not treat them as a blanket license for a YouTube music stream. Copyright Office, Government of India: Copyright Rules, 2013, Chapter VIII

The music-rights decision comes first; the streaming method is a separate operational choice. For a do-it-yourself setup, use YouTube’s scheduling and stream-management tools and make a recovery plan for the machine or service running playback. The API documentation supports scheduling and event management, not a specific 24/7 reliability guarantee. If you want the stream to continue without leaving your own computer on, StreamNeo is a cloud option for YouTube: upload your recordings, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. It loops uploaded videos; it does not clear music rights.
Or let it run in the cloud
StreamNeo keeps an uploaded-video YouTube stream running in the cloud, so nothing has to stay on at home. Each slot streams the uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price, with automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly pricing is $9.99 per month. You still need permission for every track. Learn more at StreamNeo, or start the free day.
