3. OneStream Live: a cloud-service candidate to verify
OneStream Live’s published material describes scheduling and multistreaming prerecorded and real-time video. That makes it a candidate to investigate, but that material alone does not establish a current 24/7 YouTube loop feature, present plan limits, or reliability terms. Check its current product documentation and pricing before choosing it for an unattended channel.
4. Keep vMix if you need production controls more than scheduling
vMix remains an option for a simple continuous loop. Its support article says it is “primarily designed for live streaming single events” and “does not support time of day scheduling,” while its PlayList and List features can play videos back to back and loop. vMix is Windows PC/laptop software with broader production functions such as inputs, titles, guests, recording, and streaming to YouTube and other providers. Copyright and YouTube channel rules to check
A 24/7 stream is still a YouTube upload and broadcast: having permission to play a video is essential, and a looping playlist does not make copyrighted material yours. Review YouTube’s current encoder and live-stream guidance and the rights for every recording, song, image, and clip you include. Copyright permission and channel monetization eligibility are separate questions; reused material can affect monetization even when a creator has permission. See YouTube’s encoder guidance and check the platform’s current channel policies before building a schedule around third-party material.
Troubleshooting a 24/7 prerecorded stream
The same video repeats, but the channel needs a program schedule
A loop only repeats the configured file or playlist. Use a tool whose current documentation explicitly supports time-of-day scheduling, and verify how it handles gaps, overlaps, and missed programs. vMix explicitly says it does not provide that scheduling feature.

In a local workflow, playback and encoding depend on the computer and its outgoing connection remaining available. Check whether the machine slept, OBS or vMix closed, or the network dropped. Configure the computer to remain awake and monitor the stream, or move playback to a cloud service whose recovery behavior is documented.
The playlist reaches the end and does not continue
Check the source type and its loop setting. OBS Media Source loops a file when enabled; VLC Video supports playlists and has Loop Playlist enabled by default. Confirm that the intended playlist is loaded and that its loop option has not been changed.
A cloud provider’s capabilities or price are unclear
Do not infer 24/7 looping, automatic recovery, or a particular price from a general listing of cloud tools. Check the provider’s current feature and billing pages, and ask support about storage, destinations, and what happens after a disconnect.
