Care varies by product. Good Housekeeping’s listing for a polyester throw with a sherpa reverse says it can be machine washed and dried. REI’s Wallace Lake page allows hand or machine washing. Use weight as a shopping cue, not a warmth rating

What to expect from softness and durability
A plush feel does not guarantee that the surface will keep the same appearance indefinitely.
