There is no verified, universally best graphics preset for Masters of Albion. Start at your monitor’s native resolution and leave graphics quality at its current default; if the game does not run smoothly, change one available setting at a time and compare the same scene. That gives you a practical way to balance clarity and smoothness without relying on unverified preset advice.
What are the best settings for Masters of Albion on PC?
Use the current default graphics quality as your baseline, with the display set to your monitor’s native resolution. Then judge the result in a consistent gameplay scene. Masters of Albion moves between town building, God Hand interactions, possession, exploration, and night defense, but no official source provides measured settings comparisons for those situations.
For a useful comparison, change only one setting at a time. Check whether the scene feels smoother, whether edges and text remain clear, and whether the controls are comfortable. If you change several options together, it becomes difficult to tell which change helped.
The game’s current graphics menu options and their effects are not fully documented in the official sources cited here. Avoid assuming that a particular shadow, anti-aliasing, upscaling, or named preset is available in your installed version.

What resolution should I use?
Begin at your monitor’s native resolution. It is a sensible starting point for clear text and edges. If performance is unsatisfactory, try the next lower resolution offered in the game and compare the same scene. Lowering resolution reduces the amount of image data the PC must render, but can make the picture less sharp; that is general PC graphics guidance, not a measured result for this game.
Fullscreen-exclusive support and resolution options were added in Update 1.1, according to the official Update 1.1 notes. Those notes confirm that addition at the time, but do not list every display mode or menu option in version 2.0. Check the display menu in your installed build rather than relying on an assumed current menu path.

How do I improve FPS in Masters of Albion?
- Check your PC against the published requirements. Steam lists the minimum and recommended configurations below. Meeting either tier does not guarantee a particular frame rate.
- Establish a baseline. Use your current default graphics quality and monitor-native resolution, then assess a repeatable scene.
- Reduce one setting at a time. If performance is poor, lower the resolution one step or reduce an available graphics-quality option, then revisit the same scene. Keep the change only if the improvement is worth any loss in clarity.
- Compare the result. Consider smoothness, image clarity and text legibility together; do not judge by a different scene after each adjustment.

These are Steam’s published requirements, not frame-rate targets. Steam also warns that performance may vary on lower-end systems and that stable performance is not guaranteed below the minimum specification. See the Steam listing for the requirements.

Can I change the controls or invert the camera?
Update 1.1 added an option to invert camera controls while in Possession mode. If camera movement feels backward while controlling a character, look for that option in your installed version’s controls settings. The Update 1.1 notes confirm the option was added, but do not establish a complete current control map or full key remapping support.

The New Beginnings update identifies a main HUD scale adjustment under Misc in the main menu. Try adjusting it if the on-screen interface is difficult to read. The update notes do not specify every current menu label or available scale value. The same notes say version 2.0 requires a new save: version 1.4 saves cannot be loaded in 2.0. 22cans also says the game remains in Early Access. See the official version 2.0 update information.
