3. OBS or another local encoder — for hands-on operators
YouTube lists OBS among its verified encoders. A local encoder can send a live feed to YouTube, but general encoder compatibility is not proof that a ready-made, unattended playlist scheduler is included. You are responsible for arranging playlist playback and keeping the source, computer, power, network, and encoder running. You also need a plan for monitoring interruptions and restarting the broadcast.

4. AJA HELO Plus — a hardware route to investigate
YouTube’s encoder help names the AJA HELO Plus and says its PlayToStream function can schedule prerecorded media directly to YouTube Live without a computer. The cited source does not establish that it can loop an endless playlist. Confirm the current device capabilities and exact looping behavior before treating it as a full substitute for a cloud playlist service.
5. Owncast — useful for a different destination
Owncast remains relevant if your goal is to self-host a live-video destination with chat. It requires a stream produced by broadcasting software and directed to your Owncast instance. Check YouTube’s archive limit before running a continuous stream
