If you need a full-page capture inside Safari, the two options documented for that job here are the Awesome Screenshot Safari extension and FullPage Screenshot for Safari. The first has a vendor-documented “Capture Full Page” workflow; the second is an Apple-platform app whose listing describes Safari capture and, on macOS, PDF export and an image editor. Neither has been established as more reliable in comparative testing, so try your intended pages before relying on either.

For developers who need automated screenshots rather than a Safari extension, ScreenshotNeo is the alternative to try first: it offers a screenshot API and MCP server, with clean shots billed rather than failed or blocked captures. It is not a Safari extension and does not replace capturing directly in Safari.

Which Nimbus Screenshot alternative should you try?

  • Choose Awesome Screenshot if you want a documented Safari-extension workflow that starts with “Capture Full Page.”
  • Consider FullPage Screenshot for Safari if you want an app listed for Mac, iPhone, and iPad, or need its listed macOS image editor and PDF export.
  • Try ScreenshotNeo if you are a developer automating website captures through an API or AI-agent MCP client. It is a service, not a Safari extension.

These are not a tested ranking of capture quality. The available information establishes product workflows and listing details, not a controlled comparison of speed, completeness, or reliability.

Awesome Screenshot: a documented Safari extension workflow

Awesome Screenshot’s help-center article, dated December 24, 2025, says to start the extension in Safari and select “Capture Full Page.” That establishes a Safari-specific workflow. The same article describes separate Chrome/Edge and Firefox workflows; do not assume those browser-specific instructions apply to Safari.

The reviewed information does not establish the extension’s price, supported Safari or macOS versions, or privacy practices. Check the current extension listing and requirements before installing. The documented capture command makes it a reasonable first option when your main requirement is a straightforward full-page capture from Safari, but the documentation is not evidence of comparative reliability.

FullPage Screenshot for Safari: listed devices and exports

Apple’s US App Store listing identifies FullPage Screenshot for Safari as a $2.99 app by developer Alfredo Grassau. The listing describes full-page and visible-area capture in Safari, PNG export, and availability for Mac, iPhone, and iPad. For the macOS version, it also lists a built-in image editor and PDF export.

Listing detail What the US App Store listing says
Price $2.99 when the listing was accessed in 2026; storefront prices can change.
Version 1.0.27 when the listing was accessed in 2026; version information can change.
Minimum OS listed macOS 12.0, iOS 15.0, and iPadOS 15.0, respectively.
Capture and export Full-page and visible-area Safari captures; PNG export. The macOS version also lists PDF export.
Editing A built-in image editor is listed for the macOS version.

Check the current App Store listing for your device before buying: price, compatibility, version, and availability are volatile storefront details. The developer indicated that the app collects no data, but Apple says privacy responses are not verified by Apple. Treat that as the developer’s declaration, not an independent privacy audit.

How reliable are full-page captures?

Full-page capture can be less straightforward on long or dynamic pages than on a short, static page. The App Store listing includes individual user reports describing incomplete results: one reviewer said only the visible area appeared and graphs were blank; another said a long-page capture missed its last section. These are individual reports, not controlled reliability evidence, and they do not show that every capture will fail.

Before using either option for important work, test a representative page: include the page length, dynamic content, and any graphs or embedded elements that matter to you. Inspect the bottom of the resulting image and confirm that charts, images, and other content rendered as expected. The available evidence does not establish comparative capture quality for the two Safari options.

Why GoFullPage is not listed as a confirmed Safari alternative

GoFullPage’s official site surfaced claims about whole-page capture and image or PDF export, along with availability information for Chrome and Edge and a Firefox release noted on September 7, 2026. Those claims do not establish Safari support. Until Safari compatibility is verified separately, treat GoFullPage as a boundary case rather than a confirmed Safari alternative.

If you need to capture websites in a script or AI-agent workflow, ScreenshotNeo accepts one GET request and returns a screenshot or PDF. Its options include full-page capture with lazy images loaded, selector-based element capture, PDF settings, custom CSS and JavaScript, wait conditions, viewport and device settings, and bulk capture. Cookie banners, popups, and chat widgets are removed before the shot; bot checks, blank pages, and failed loads are never billed. An MCP server lets AI agents take screenshots. The free plan includes 1,000 screenshots a month with no card; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000.
