For another fully animated Looney Tunes feature, choose The Day the Earth Blew Up. For more cartoon characters alongside live actors, try Looney Tunes: Back in Action; for a basketball-and-cartoon crossover, Space Jam is the nostalgia pick. If you want a spooky movie-length collection of classic cartoons, watch Daffy Duck’s Quackbusters. The right follow-up depends on whether you want a feature, a hybrid, or the shorter cartoon form.
Which Looney Tunes movie should you watch next?
| If you want… | Watch | Why it fits |
|---|---|---|
| A fully animated science-fiction feature | The Day the Earth Blew Up | Daffy Duck and Porky Pig take the lead in a story about an alien threat. |
| A live-action and animation blend | Looney Tunes: Back in Action | Bugs and Daffy join human characters in an action-comedy and spy-adventure parody. |
| A sports crossover with 1990s nostalgia | Space Jam | Michael Jordan teams up with the Tunes in a basketball story. |
| A spooky collection of older cartoons | Daffy Duck’s Quackbusters (1988) | A framing story about Daffy’s paranormal-detective agency connects classic shorts. |
These are different kinds of follow-up, not interchangeable sequels to Coyote vs. Acme. That film pairs animation with live action around Wile E. Coyote’s legal fight against ACME; the choices below offer other characters, genres, and formats. TheWrap’s recommendations and ComingSoon’s ranking are critics’ judgments, not an objective consensus: TheWrap’s Looney Tunes movie guide and ComingSoon’s ranking of theatrical features.

Best fully animated feature: The Day the Earth Blew Up
Pick this if what you liked about Coyote vs. Acme was the cartoon world, but you want the animated characters to carry the whole feature. Daffy Duck and Porky Pig try to save their town from body-snatching alien gum, giving the movie a science-fiction-comedy premise. ComingSoon describes it as an animated spin-off from the original cartoon series; TheWrap likewise highlights its alien-gum threat.

It is not a continuation of Coyote’s courtroom story. Instead, it puts two other familiar characters at the center of an all-animated adventure. TheWrap reported that the film was picked up for distribution by Ketchup Entertainment after Warner Bros. dropped it, but its recommendation article does not provide a current streaming guide. #1 Best Overall
Best live-action and cartoon hybrid: Looney Tunes: Back in Action
If the mix of animated characters and human actors is what you want to repeat, Looney Tunes: Back in Action is the closest fit in this menu. Directed by Joe Dante, it sends Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck on a globe-trotting action-comedy and spy-adventure parody alongside human characters, including a stuntman played by Brendan Fraser and a Warner Bros. executive.
Its appeal is the collision between cartoon antics and a live-action adventure, rather than a legal dispute like the one in Coyote vs. Acme. TheWrap describes it as an action-comedy with spy-film parody. TheWrap’s guide.
Rank #2
Best sports-and-cartoon crossover: Space Jam
Choose Space Jam for a basketball story with a distinctly 1990s feel. Michael Jordan joins the Looney Tunes as they face the Monstars, making it a sports crossover rather than another legal or science-fiction comedy. It is the pick for viewers who want a familiar blend of real-world celebrity and animated characters, and who are happy for basketball to drive the plot.

TheWrap frames the film as a 1990s blast from the past, while ComingSoon describes the Tunes’ conflict with the Monstars. TheWrap; ComingSoon.
Rank #3
Best spooky package film: Daffy Duck’s Quackbusters
Daffy Duck’s Quackbusters (1988) is a movie-length package film, not one uninterrupted new animated adventure. Its framing story has Daffy open a paranormal-detective agency, with spooky older shorts woven into the feature. The segments include “Hyde and Go Tweet,” “The Night of the Living Duck,” and “The Abominable Snow Rabbit.”
It suits Halloween-season viewing or anyone who likes a feature built around a collection of cartoons. TheWrap calls it a Halloween-time favorite and reports a Warner Archive Collection Blu-ray release; that makes the disc a possible option for collectors, though current stock and price are not established here. TheWrap’s recommendation.

- Duck Dodgers in the 24½th Century: Daffy plays a space hero, with Porky as his space cadet and Marvin the Martian appearing as himself. It is the science-fiction parody pick.
- The Hunting Trilogy: Rabbit Fire, Rabbit Seasoning, and Duck! Rabbit, Duck! turn the Bugs-and-Daffy rivalry into a series of verbal feints and reversals, with Elmer Fudd caught in the middle.
- One Froggy Evening: A man discovers a frog that performs ragtime only when nobody else is watching. Its self-contained premise makes it an easy standalone short.
- What’s Opera, Doc?: Bugs and Elmer’s chase becomes an operatic parody with Wagner references. Pick it for stylized visuals and musical comedy.
- Baseball Bugs: Bugs takes on a baseball team after claiming he can win by himself. It is a direct Bugs showcase.
TheWrap recommends these shorts as additions to a feature-focused watchlist; ComingSoon also highlights What’s Opera, Doc?. TheWrap’s guide; ComingSoon’s ranking.

Where can you watch them?
Streaming availability varies by country and changes over time, so check the services available in your region before choosing a title. The cited recommendation articles do not establish a current subscription or streaming home for these movies. An Amazon Prime Video page in Indonesian locale displayed Coyote vs. Acme UHD rental for US$19.99 and UHD purchase for US$24.99 when accessed; those displayed prices apply to that specific listing at that time, not to other countries or services. Why the post-release watchlist matters
The recommendations come after an unusual release path for Coyote vs. Acme. The Associated Press reported that Warner Bros. shelved the completed film before Ketchup Entertainment acquired it for release, and that it reached U.S. theaters on August 28, 2026. Director Dave Green told the AP, “It’s a total surprise I’m sitting here talking to you today.” The release context helps explain renewed interest in the film, but it does not make the other movies direct continuations.
