Short answer: Inservers is the more directly relevant published offer for a YouTube relay because it advertises a streaming VPS in New Delhi. Contabo lists VPS configurations in Mumbai, but its India page does not specifically position them for 24/7 YouTube streaming. Neither provider has been independently tested here for sustained throughput or uptime, so treat advertised specifications as provider claims—not guarantees—and verify the written terms before committing.
If you want a continuous YouTube channel without running your own VPS, StreamNeo is the cloud alternative: it loops uploaded videos, with any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and the first day is free. Learn about StreamNeo.
Best options at a glance
| Option | What is documented | Best fit | What to verify |
|---|---|---|---|
| StreamNeo | Cloud service for keeping a YouTube channel live from uploaded videos; one flat price per slot for any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps; first day free. | Creators who want uploaded videos looping without keeping a computer or VPS running. | Check storage needs and whether its uploaded-video workflow fits your channel. |
| Inservers | Advertises a streaming VPS in New Delhi. Its listed entry offer is ₹880/month and includes 2 vCores, 4 GB RAM, 40 GB NVMe storage and a 1 Gbps unmetered uplink. | People seeking an India-based VPS offer explicitly marketed for streaming relay. | Confirm current price, sustained egress, transfer/fair-use rules, permitted continuous relay, SLA and support terms. |
| Contabo | Its official location page lists Mumbai and publishes VPS configurations with vCPU, memory, storage and monthly prices. | People comparing a documented Mumbai VPS location and willing to assess the workload and terms themselves. | Confirm current Mumbai availability and pricing, egress limits, continuous-use policy, SLA and suitability for relay. |
This is a shortlist based on published provider information, not a measured performance ranking. No independent route tests, sustained upload benchmarks or uptime observations establish which VPS will perform best for a particular channel.

Which Indian VPS should you choose?
1. StreamNeo: simplest option for looping uploaded video
StreamNeo is not a VPS provider. It is a cloud service that keeps a YouTube channel live by playing uploaded recordings or a playlist. Upload a video, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live; the cloud handles the looping, so a home PC, OBS session and home internet connection do not need to stay on. It is YouTube-only and does not stream from a camera.
#1 Best Overall
Each slot includes one always-on stream, 10 GB of storage per slot pooled across active slots, 24/7 looping and playlists, automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream, and support from the StreamNeo team. Uploaded video is streamed as made, up to 4K 60fps, without re-encoding or quality tiers. Plans differ by duration, not features.
Choose StreamNeo if your goal is to keep pre-recorded content live without managing a server. If you need a custom relay/transcode stack, camera input, or a destination other than YouTube, this product does not meet that requirement.
2. Inservers: the more directly streaming-focused VPS listing
Inservers markets a streaming VPS in New Delhi and describes RTMP relay to YouTube. Its provider page advertises an entry offer from ₹880/month with 2 vCores, 4 GB RAM, 40 GB NVMe storage and a 1 Gbps unmetered uplink. These are the provider’s published claims; they do not independently establish sustained upload speed, actual 24/7 uptime, or a contractual commitment to continuous YouTube relaying.

Before ordering, ask for written confirmation of current availability and price, whether the plan permits continuous YouTube relay, what “unmetered” means in practice, any fair-use or transfer restrictions, sustained outbound throughput, SLA and credits, static-IP availability, support response expectations, and backup costs. See the Inservers streaming VPS offer.
3. Contabo: a listed Mumbai location, but not a streaming-specific recommendation
Contabo’s official India location page lists Mumbai and VPS configurations with vCPU, memory, storage and monthly prices. The reviewed page does not say that a listed configuration is designed for continuous YouTube relay or establish its sustained outbound capacity. Compare its current location-specific offer against your measured workload rather than treating the India location alone as proof of suitability.
Ask about outbound transfer caps and sustained egress, permission for continuous relay, static IP, support, backup costs, SLA terms and current Mumbai availability and pricing. See Contabo’s India location page.

How to tell whether a VPS can carry your stream
Start with YouTube’s encoder settings for your chosen resolution, frame rate and codec. YouTube recommends RTMPS for live ingestion, constant bitrate (CBR), and a two-second keyframe interval, not exceeding four seconds. Its recommended bitrate varies with resolution and frame rate, so use the current table in YouTube Help’s encoder settings guidance instead of relying on a single bitrate figure.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches- Set the outbound workload. Use the bitrate you intend to send to YouTube. If the VPS relays one stream to multiple destinations, outbound traffic can multiply with each destination. Do not assume an advertised uplink speed or “unmetered” label proves continuous usable throughput.
- Check plan resources against the actual job. A simple relay and a workflow that transcodes video place different demands on CPU and memory. The listed Inservers entry configuration is 2 vCores and 4 GB RAM, but the reviewed offer does not establish a safe workload limit. Ask the provider or test the exact workload before relying on it.
- Get the network policy in writing. Confirm sustained egress, data-transfer or fair-use limits, whether continuous YouTube forwarding is allowed, and what happens if you exceed a limit. Ask whether an SLA covers network availability and what remedies it provides.
- Test the end-to-end path. Send representative video and audio before relying on the stream. Monitor YouTube stream health during the test and after launch; YouTube specifically advises testing and monitoring.
The National Informatics Centre (NIC) describes 2–4 Mbps of dedicated bandwidth per stream for the workflows on its webcast service page. For a hired agency, NIC also specifies a static public IP and confirmation of outbound RTMP port 1935. Those are NIC workflow requirements, not universal YouTube or VPS requirements; use YouTube’s encoder table for your stream settings and confirm any NIC-specific conditions only when using that service. See NIC’s available webcast services and NIC Webcast Services.
Questions to ask before paying
- Is the India region you want currently available, and is the quoted price specific to it?
- Does the plan have transfer caps, fair-use provisions, or restrictions on sustained outbound traffic?
- Does the acceptable-use policy explicitly permit continuous YouTube live relaying?
- What sustained outbound throughput can the provider commit to, and is that commitment in the SLA?
- Is a static public IP available and required for your particular setup?
- What are the support hours, response commitments, backup charges and remedies for outages?
- Does your YouTube account have live streaming access, and does the selected encoder configuration match the destination settings?
Testing and troubleshooting a VPS stream
YouTube reports a poor or unstable stream
Check the encoder bitrate against YouTube’s current guidance for the chosen resolution and frame rate. Verify CBR and the two-second keyframe interval (no more than four seconds), then test with representative motion and audio. If settings are correct, ask the host about sustained egress and investigate the route between the VPS and YouTube ingestion; an advertised port speed is not proof that the route stays stable.

The stream stops after running for a while
Check VPS logs and YouTube stream health to determine whether the encoder process, network connection or ingest session ended. Confirm with the host whether a continuous relay is allowed and whether any transfer or fair-use limit was reached. Ask what its SLA covers; a marketing description is not an uptime guarantee.
The server can connect locally but YouTube does not receive the stream
Check that the stream key and ingest destination are correct, use RTMPS as YouTube recommends, and verify that outbound traffic is permitted by the VPS firewall and provider network. Port 1935 is specified in NIC’s hired-agency workflow; it should not be assumed to be a universal YouTube requirement.
Multiple destinations exhaust bandwidth or cause instability
Recalculate total outbound bitrate across all destinations and confirm the plan’s sustained egress and transfer policy. The provider’s advertised uplink alone does not establish that the chosen plan can support every destination continuously.

Costs and alternatives to operating your own VPS
VPS costs are only one part of a continuous relay setup: account for any transfer charges, backups, monitoring, setup time and the work of recovering a failed process. Inservers advertises its entry offer from ₹880/month, but its current terms and suitability need confirmation. Contabo’s location page publishes plan prices; verify the current Mumbai configuration and terms directly before buying.
