There is not enough verified, current provider information to name one Indian VPS as the best choice for looping real estate videos on YouTube Live. A sound choice depends on your video’s bitrate and whether you will re-encode it, the VM’s sustained outbound capacity, its included data transfer and overage charges, and the full recurring cost. Compare those details on each provider’s own plan pages before committing.

If you are comfortable maintaining an encoder and recovery process, a self-managed VPS gives you control. If you want to avoid operating a VM, StreamNeo is a managed alternative: it loops uploaded videos to YouTube from the cloud. The setup and trade-offs for both approaches are below.

What to compare before renting an Indian VPS

Do not select a VPS by its advertised CPU count or its data-centre location alone. First decide what you will send to YouTube; then check that the plan can sustain it and calculate the total cost of keeping it running.

What to check Why it matters
India region available for your account and plan Confirm the location is actually selectable for the specific VM. A nearby region may make the management connection more convenient, but location alone does not guarantee better YouTube ingestion or viewer playback.
Sustained outbound throughput Your encoder sends data continuously. Confirm the plan can maintain the chosen bitrate rather than relying only on a headline network speed.
Included outbound transfer and overage policy Estimate monthly transfer from bitrate and running hours, then check the plan’s allowance and charges for exceeding it.
CPU, RAM and any hardware acceleration Needs depend on whether the encoder copies the source video or re-encodes it, and on the source file and output settings. A platform bitrate recommendation is not a VM sizing recommendation.
Recovery, monitoring, support and backups A 24/7 stream needs a plan for detecting and recovering from an encoder, VM or connection failure. Verify what the provider includes and what you must operate yourself.
Full recurring price Include the VM, storage, public IPv4 if charged separately, outbound transfer, applicable tax and any backup or monitoring services you need.
Operational workload A self-managed VPS requires you to configure and supervise the encoder and its recovery. Decide whether that maintenance is acceptable for your channel.

Estimate transfer from your actual stream settings

As a scale example, a continuous 8 Mbps stream for 30 days transfers approximately 2.592 TB in decimal units. This is arithmetic from the bitrate and 30-day duration, not a VPS allowance or provider price. Your real-estate video may use a different bitrate. Add protocol overhead and an operating margin to your estimate, then compare it with the provider’s published transfer allowance and overage terms.

Choose the video settings before sizing the VM

YouTube Help’s encoder guidance, accessed in 2026, recommends RTMPS, constant bitrate (CBR) encoding and a two-second keyframe interval; it says not to exceed four seconds. Its bitrate recommendations vary by codec, resolution and frame rate. For H.264 at 720p and 30 fps, the listed recommendation is 8 Mbps. Treat that as YouTube’s platform guidance for that setting—not as a guarantee of picture quality, a VPS bandwidth specification or a CPU sizing rule.

The same YouTube guidance lists RTMP/RTMPS and H.264, H.265/HEVC and AV1, supports up to 60 fps, and lists AAC or MP3 audio. Match the encoder configuration to the source and the format you intend to send. If you copy the video without re-encoding, VM processing needs differ from a workflow that encodes or converts it on the VM. Do not assume a plan has hardware acceleration; check its specifications.

Use RTMPS for a secure connection

YouTube recommends secure RTMPS. Google for Developers’ YouTube Live Streaming API guide, updated 2026-09-14, explains that RTMPS is RTMP carried through an SSL connection and specifies using the correct YouTube RTMPS endpoint on port 443 and the correct hostname for TLS SNI authentication. Use the endpoint provided for your stream in YouTube’s setup flow; do not substitute a guessed hostname or port.

Know when HLS is relevant

HLS is a separate ingestion option, not a way to avoid checking encoder compatibility. Google for Developers’ HLS guidance requires HTTPS POST or PUT, media segments from one to four seconds, muxed M2TS media, H.264 or HEVC video, AAC audio and a closed GOP. Google describes HLS ingestion as appropriate for high-quality or high-resolution streams when comparatively higher latency is acceptable. For a typical low-latency setup, follow the RTMPS configuration YouTube provides for your stream.

Configure a self-managed VPS stream

The precise encoder commands and VPS panel labels depend on the provider and software you choose. The sequence below covers the decisions and YouTube settings you must get right without assuming a particular VM image or encoder interface.

  1. Verify the YouTube channel. YouTube Help says the channel must be verified and must not have a live-streaming restriction from the preceding 90 days. Confirm eligibility in YouTube Studio before paying for a VM.
  2. Prepare the source video. Check its resolution, frame rate, audio and duration. Decide whether the VPS will pass the file through or re-encode it. Test the chosen output settings before relying on a continuous loop.
  3. Choose output settings. Use YouTube’s bitrate guidance for the selected codec, resolution and frame rate. Set CBR where applicable, use a two-second keyframe interval (and do not exceed four seconds), and choose a supported audio format.
  4. Create the live stream in YouTube Studio. Copy the server URL and stream key shown for the stream into your encoder. Keep the key private: anyone who obtains it may be able to send video to your channel.
  5. Configure the encoder on the VM. Use YouTube’s supplied RTMPS endpoint and settings. If configuring RTMPS directly through Google’s API guidance, use port 443 and the hostname required for TLS SNI. Verify that the VM can sustain the stream’s outbound bitrate.
  6. Start the stream and verify it in YouTube Studio. Check that YouTube receives the feed, that the expected video and audio are present, and that the stream remains stable before leaving the encoder unattended.
  7. Set up supervision and recovery. Decide how you will notice a stopped encoder or dropped connection and restart it. Test the recovery path; a running VM by itself does not prove that the encoder is still sending video.
  8. Monitor transfer and charges. Compare actual running time and bitrate with your estimate, and watch the provider’s transfer usage and overage policy.

Plan for copyright, archives and long-running sessions

Check rights to every part of the video

Before streaming a real-estate tour, confirm that you have the rights or permissions needed for the footage, music, voice-over, photographs, graphics and any other included material. A property listing or a video file being publicly available does not by itself establish permission to rebroadcast it. YouTube’s rules and channel eligibility can also affect whether a live stream is allowed; resolve rights concerns before setting up an unattended loop.

Do not rely on a 24/7 session as your only replay

YouTube Help’s archive guidance, accessed in 2026, says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived and warns that a stream exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. Its DVR guidance also says rewind may be limited or unavailable on longer streams. If an archived replay or rewind matters, consider ending and restarting shorter sessions, and retain a separate copy of the source video. A restart schedule is a trade-off: it can create distinct sessions, but it interrupts continuous playback.

StreamNeo: a managed alternative to operating a VPS

For a list of ways to keep a YouTube live stream running, StreamNeo is the first option to consider if you want a cloud-managed loop rather than a VM to maintain. You upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once and go live; StreamNeo loops the uploaded video from the cloud, so your computer and home connection do not need to stay on.

  1. Upload your recording or build a playlist.
  2. Add your YouTube stream key.
  3. Go live and let the cloud loop the video.

Each slot includes one always-on YouTube stream, 10 GB of storage per slot pooled across active slots, 24/7 looping and playlists, automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream, and StreamNeo team support. Videos stream as uploaded, up to 4K 60fps, without re-encoding; every plan has the same product and features, with the billing period changing. StreamNeo is for uploaded videos, not camera-based live video, and streams to YouTube only.

Billing periods are daily, weekly, monthly, six months or yearly; you can cancel any time. The first day is free with no card, once per account. UPI and cards are accepted in India; card checkout is available worldwide. Contact support about five or more slots. Confirm that the service’s scope, recovery behavior and terms fit your channel before relying on it.

Because StreamNeo runs in the cloud, nothing has to stay on at home. It handles uploaded videos at any quality up to 4K 60fps for one flat price per slot, and automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly: $9.99 per month. See StreamNeo, or start your free first day.

Common VPS selection and streaming problems

Symptom Likely cause What to check
The stream starts but drops or buffers later The VM or route may not sustain the outgoing bitrate, or the encoder may be unstable. Check encoder output settings, sustained outbound capacity and provider transfer or network policies. Confirm the bitrate is appropriate for the selected YouTube setting.
YouTube does not receive the encoder feed The server URL, stream key, port or TLS hostname may be wrong, or the channel may not be eligible to stream. Re-copy the server URL and key from YouTube Studio, verify RTMPS configuration including port 443 and TLS SNI hostname where applicable, and check channel eligibility.
The VM runs out of transfer allowance or incurs unexpected charges The continuous stream’s monthly transfer was underestimated or the plan charges for excess usage. Recalculate from actual bitrate and hours; check the plan’s included outbound transfer, overage rate, tax and any separately charged network items.
The encoder stops but the VM remains online VM availability is not the same as encoder supervision or automatic recovery. Check your monitoring and restart process, test it deliberately, and confirm which recovery tasks are yours versus included by the provider.
The live session has no complete replay A session longer than 12 hours may not be captured, and DVR can be limited on longer streams. Use shorter sessions if an archive or rewind is important, and keep a separate source copy.

Cost and operating trade-offs

A VPS quote is not the total cost of a continuous stream. Calculate VM rental, storage, public IPv4 where applicable, outbound transfer or overages, backups, monitoring and tax. Also account for the time required to configure the encoder, protect the stream key, monitor failures and maintain recovery. Provider-specific Indian-region availability, transfer inclusions and current total prices are not established here, so compare current official plan details rather than relying on an old headline VM price.

A managed service can reduce the work of running the encoder and recovery process, but compare its scope and current terms directly with what you need. For StreamNeo’s current plans and included product details, see StreamNeo pricing.
