The Dell XPS 14 (2026) is the closest premium 14-inch alternative to investigate if you want a slim, fast Windows laptop in the HP OmniBook Ultra 14 class. The ASUS Zenbook S14 is another performance-oriented option; the Zenbook A14 makes more sense when low weight matters most, while the Lenovo ThinkPad X9 15 Aura Edition (2025) is a larger productivity-focused choice. None is a universal winner: compare the exact local configurations and the work you actually do.
Start by identifying which HP OmniBook Ultra you mean
“HP OmniBook Ultra” alone is not enough to make a fair comparison. HP’s support specifications cover the OmniBook Ultra 14 inch Laptop Next Gen AI PC 14-kd0000 series, with options that include a 14-inch 3K OLED multitouch display with refresh rates up to 120 Hz. Processor and memory choices can vary, and HP’s series page does not establish that every listed option is sold in every country.
Before comparing alternatives, check the generation, exact model number, processor, memory, display, and country of sale for the HP you are considering. Those details determine whether you are comparing like with like, especially for screen quality, performance, and price.

|---|---|---|
| Premium, compact Windows laptop | Dell XPS 14 (2026) | Exact processor and screen, ports, local price, and results in workloads like yours. |
| Performance-oriented 14-inch laptop | ASUS Zenbook S14 (2026) | Exact CPU and panel, plus performance and battery results from the configuration being sold. |
| Portability first | ASUS Zenbook A14 | Weight, battery-test method, and app or platform compatibility for your software. |
| Larger productivity laptop | Lenovo ThinkPad X9 15 Aura Edition (2025) | Whether the larger screen and productivity focus suit you; compare ports, OLED, battery results, and price. |
Dell XPS 14 (2026): the closest premium-size match
Dell positions the XPS 14 as a thin, lightweight laptop, making it the most direct premium 14-inch alternative in this group. Its available configurations are not interchangeable: Dell’s US product page lists a 14-inch 1920 × 1200 non-touch display option with a 1–120 Hz refresh rate, but that specification should not be assumed for every XPS 14.

Check the screen and processor on the specific local listing, then compare ports, price, and review results under workloads similar to yours. Independent reviews can provide useful context, but they do not amount to a standardized head-to-head test of every XPS 14 and OmniBook Ultra configuration.
ASUS Zenbook S14 (2026): a performance-oriented alternative
The Zenbook S14 (2026) is worth comparing if you want a compact system aimed at performance as well as portability. Notebookcheck’s review includes benchmark tables comparing tested products, including the HP OmniBook Ultra 14. Those results belong to the specific review units and tests; they do not establish that every S14 configuration is faster or slower overall.

Confirm the CPU and display in your market, and compare results from the same benchmark and test conditions when available. If your work relies on graphics performance, pay particular attention to the specific graphics tests rather than treating a general “fast” label as a guarantee.
ASUS Zenbook A14: choose it when portability leads
The Zenbook A14 is a distinct, portability-oriented option, not simply another name for the S14. IT Pro’s UK review compared its tested A14 sample with its tested HP OmniBook Ultra sample. In Cinebench R24, the HP scored 973 multi-core and 133 single-core, while the A14 scored 1,139 multi-core and 147 single-core. In 3DMark Night Raid, the HP scored 33,406 and the A14 40,574. These are results from those particular review samples and benchmark tests, not a controlled ranking of all configurations or a guarantee of performance in your applications.

Use the A14’s weight and battery measurements from a review of the configuration you plan to buy, and verify software compatibility if your applications depend on a particular platform or feature. TechRadar’s 2026 Zenbook 14 coverage reported preorder prices in pounds; those figures are time- and market-specific and should not be treated as current prices.

The ThinkPad X9 15 Aura Edition (2025) is a larger, productivity-focused alternative mentioned alongside the XPS 14 by RTINGS. Consider it if a 15-inch-class screen suits your work better than a close 14-inch match. Compare the actual model’s OLED display, ports, battery-test results, and local price before choosing it; the available comparison evidence does not establish a standardized performance ranking against every OmniBook Ultra 14 configuration.

How to make a fair comparison
Do not choose on processor names alone. Compare the precise laptop configurations and evidence that match your needs:
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →- Workload: Use relevant tests for your real tasks, such as sustained processor work, graphics, or the applications you rely on. Results from different benchmarks cannot be combined into one universal speed ranking.
- Display: Confirm resolution, touch support, panel type, and refresh rate on the exact SKU. A product family may offer materially different screens.
- Portability: Compare weight and dimensions for the review or retail configuration, not just the series name.
- Battery: Treat runtime as meaningful only alongside the review’s test method, settings, and configuration. Results from different publications are not directly comparable.
- Ports and memory: Check the actual configuration against your peripherals and workload; options can differ by market.
- Price: Compare current local listings for equivalent configurations. The available sources do not establish consistent current prices across all four candidates.
Reviews of the HP, Zenbook A14, and Zenbook S14 use different configurations and testing methods, so their figures are informative but not a pooled, controlled comparison. For example, Tom’s Guide reported 14 hours 29 minutes in its battery test for the XPS 13 (2026); that is not an XPS 14 or OmniBook Ultra result.
