The best Honor of Kings settings are the highest frame-rate option your device can sustain smoothly, paired with only as much visual detail as you need to read a fight. There is no verified universal preset: supported frame-rate and image-quality choices vary by device and game update. Start with the options in your current client, test them in a real match, and step down if performance becomes unstable or heat uncomfortable.
Choose settings for your device, not a universal preset
Honor of Kings does not have one confirmed “best” configuration for every phone or tablet. Level Infinite has published notices about image-quality and frame-rate adjustments for select devices, as well as optimization notes for 90/120 FPS on some processors. Those notices establish that support can be device-specific; they do not provide a complete, permanent list of supported devices or a universal menu of settings. Check the choices shown in your own game client after updates.
For supported HONOR devices, HONOR describes energy-saving, high, ultra-high, and extreme frame-rate options as 30, 60, 90, and 120 frames, respectively. These are tier descriptions for supported models, not a guarantee that every HONOR device—or every game client—offers each tier. See HONOR’s gaming lag and response troubleshooting guidance. Level Infinite’s notices about select-device image quality and frame-rate adjustments and specific-device graphics and frame-rate optimization likewise concern particular devices, not a universal preset.

- Establish a clean baseline. Update the game and device software. On HONOR phones and tablets, the manufacturer recommends a stable WLAN or mobile connection, closing unnecessary background apps, keeping storage available, and disabling power-saving mode when troubleshooting game lag. Menu names can differ by device and software version.
- Start with a high frame-rate option available in your client. The highest listed tier is a starting point, not an automatic recommendation for every device.
- Test through a busy fight and a longer play session. Watch for stutter or inconsistent animation, and notice whether the device becomes uncomfortably hot. This is a practical check, not a laboratory benchmark.
- Step down one tier if performance does not hold. A lower, steadier option is preferable to a higher setting that becomes unstable during play.
Higher frame-rate settings can make a device more prone to heat, HONOR warns in its support guidance. That is vendor advice for its supported-device context, not a controlled Honor of Kings comparison across phones. If the device remains hot, reduce frame rate or visual load; HONOR also advises lowering brightness if needed, avoiding play while charging where practical, and pausing until the device cools.

Lower visual load without losing fight readability
If stutter or heat persists after adjusting frame rate, try lowering demanding image-quality effects. Particle quality is one setting some players choose to reduce when combat looks crowded; a third-party guide recommends low particles for ranked play, but official notices do not establish this as the best value across global clients. Treat it as a preference to test, not a proven performance fix.
After each change, check whether you can still distinguish heroes and important combat effects on your screen. The goal is not simply the lowest graphics setting: retain enough detail to follow a fight while reducing effects that add clutter or load for your device. The official Honor of Kings game guides page does not establish universal control values for resolution, targeting, camera, outlines, or other settings.

Tell graphics slowdown from network delay
If animation remains smooth but actions arrive late, or you experience disconnections, changing image quality may not address the cause. HONOR identifies unstable network conditions as a possible source of gaming delay and disconnection on its devices. Check connection stability and, where possible, try a more reliable WLAN or mobile connection. For general lag troubleshooting on HONOR phones and tablets, follow the steps in HONOR’s support article.

Compare a setting across three practical checks
- Sustained performance: Does the chosen frame-rate tier stay smooth during longer play and busy fights?
- Readability: Can you distinguish heroes and important effects without unnecessary visual clutter?
- Heat and battery comfort: Does the device remain comfortable, or does the configuration become too warm or drain power too quickly for your session?
These checks help you choose a setting for your own device and priorities; they are not a published benchmark rubric. No controlled evidence here establishes that a particular configuration improves rank or reaction time.
