For a free full-page screenshot, start with the capture feature built into your browser: Firefox offers a full-page capture, while Chrome has a DevTools command called “Capture full size screenshot.” For a simpler workflow, try a browser extension such as GoFullPage, GoFullScreenshot or Full Page Screenshot. Store availability and free features can change, so check the current listing in your browser’s store in India before installing.
Choose a method that fits the page and the output
A full-page screenshot includes content below the part of a website visible on screen. A tool may capture the rendered page at full height, or scroll and stitch sections together. That difference matters on sites that load images or other content only as you scroll.
- For an occasional capture: use your browser’s built-in option; it avoids installing an extension.
- For repeat captures: consider an extension that offers one-click full-page capture and the export format you need.
- For a page with lazy-loaded content: prefer a tool that scrolls the page before capture, and inspect the result for missing sections.
- For sensitive pages: check extension permissions and the developer’s data-handling claims before granting access.
No source reviewed establishes that every extension below is currently available in India’s browser stores. Search the official store for your browser and check the developer, permissions, version and current free-tier terms before installing.

Use browser capture without installing an extension
Chrome DevTools
- Open the page you want to capture in Chrome.
- Open DevTools: right-click the page and choose Inspect, or use your operating system’s DevTools shortcut.
- Open the DevTools command menu and search for Capture full size screenshot.
- Select the command. Chrome saves a PNG of the full rendered page.
- Open the saved image and check the bottom and any sections that normally appear after scrolling.
This method does not scroll the page before capturing. As a result, lazy-loaded images or content that appears only after scrolling may be absent. If the capture is incomplete, scroll through the page first to trigger loading, then capture again, or use a scrolling extension.

Firefox
Firefox includes a built-in full-page capture option labeled Save full page. Use the browser’s screenshot controls on the page you want to save, then inspect the result for missing content. The reviewed material surfaced this option but does not establish current menu paths across Firefox versions; consult Mozilla’s current instructions for your installed version.
Install and use an extension carefully
- Open the official extension store from your browser and search the exact extension name.
- Check that the publisher matches the extension’s official site, and review the latest version, permissions, supported browser and user feedback.
- Read the current listing to confirm that full-page capture and your required export format are free.
- Install the extension, open the target page, and use its full-page capture control.
- Review the output. Look for blank areas, repeated or missing sections, fixed headers captured multiple times, and content that loads only after scrolling.
Extensions may need access to the page they capture. Grant only permissions you understand, and avoid capturing private or authenticated pages with a tool whose data handling you have not checked. A publisher’s statement that processing is local or that files are stored locally is useful information, but it is not an independent security audit.

Fix common capture problems
The bottom of the page or images are missing
Some sites load content as the visitor scrolls. Chrome’s full-size DevTools command does not scroll first, so scroll through the page to trigger loading and capture again, or use a scrolling extension.
The screenshot repeats or cuts off content
Sticky headers, fixed elements and nested scrolling panes can complicate scrolling and stitching. Try the same page with another capture method, and inspect the output before sharing it. A capture of the document may not include content inside a separately scrolling panel.

Check the result before using it
- Confirm the capture includes the complete page, especially below the fold.
- Check lazy-loaded images, embedded content and sections that appear after scrolling.
- Look for duplicate or missing content around fixed headers and scrolling panels.
- Make sure the file format suits its purpose: PNG or JPEG for images, PDF when you need a document-style export.
- Review the image for personal or account information before sharing it.
