If the Five Nights at Freddy’s (FNAF) offer is unavailable to you—or you want a different kind of horror look—consider the style you want first: animatronic game horror, slasher horror, or a broader Halloween event crossover. Epic said the FNAF outfits were live in the Shop on October 1, 2026, so “missed it” is a possibility, not a confirmed status for every reader. Check the live Shop before buying: Fortnite’s rotating availability and displayed prices can change.
Start with the FNAF offer: it may not be too late
In its October 1, 2026 Fortnitemares announcement, Epic Games said: “Outfits from Five Nights at Freddy’s show battle damage and are live in the Shop now.” That confirms the offer was live when Epic published its announcement; it does not establish what is available on the day you read this.
Epic’s FNAF bundle listing names four outfits: Freddy Fazbear, Foxy the Pirate, Chica the Chicken, and Bonnie the Rabbit. The page also lists additional digital cosmetics. Its displayed bundle price is 4,500 V-Bucks, discounted from an original 11,000 V-Bucks, with an offer deadline of October 31, 2026 at 12:00 AM local time. Treat the price, contents, and deadline as listing details to verify in the current Shop, not as permanent terms. The reviewed listing does not establish individual prices for the outfits, so the bundle price should not be used to infer one.

The battle-damage appearance is a visual effect, not evidence of a gameplay advantage. Epic’s announcement also describes animatronic bosses that players can encounter during Fortnitemares; those event encounters are separate from wearing an outfit.

Which horror style fits you?
| Option | Horror style | Availability evidence | What to check |
|---|---|---|---|

| Freddy Krueger | Slasher horror | VICE reported an October 2, 2026 Shop date. That is a dated schedule report, not confirmation of ongoing availability. | Whether the outfit is currently listed in the Shop. |
| Ghost Face | Slasher horror | VICE reported an October 6, 2026 Shop date. The report does not guarantee continuing availability. | Whether the outfit is currently listed in the Shop. |
| Halloween Horror Nights crossover | Theme-park Halloween horror | VICE reported an October 5, 2026 Shop date. That is not a guarantee of current availability. | Which items are actually listed, and their current prices. |
Epic’s Fortnitemares announcement also names crossovers including A Nightmare on Elm Street, Beetlejuice, Obsession, The Purge, Slender Man, and Predator: Badlands. Their inclusion in an event announcement is not proof that a particular item is currently purchasable, and the material here does not establish exact Shop dates for those options. Check the Shop rather than choosing from an announcement alone.
Choose FNAF for the animatronic look
The four named characters give the bundle a distinctly animatronic identity. It is the clearest fit if what you want is a recognisable horror-game character rather than a masked slasher or a general Halloween crossover. Epic’s description of battle damage adds a worn, damaged visual treatment; it does not change what the outfit does in a match.
Choose a slasher crossover for a different kind of horror
Freddy Krueger and Ghost Face are the most direct slasher-style alternatives in the dated schedule reported by VICE. The dates in that October 2 report—October 2 for Freddy Krueger and October 6 for Ghost Face—describe a schedule, not a promise that either item will still be available afterward. Verify the live listing before planning a purchase.

Choose Halloween Horror Nights for an event crossover
The Halloween Horror Nights crossover offers a broader Halloween-event identity than a single named slasher or the FNAF animatronics. VICE reported October 5 as its Shop date. Because an event announcement or schedule does not settle what is on sale now, check the current Shop for the specific items and their prices.

Epic’s cosmetic compatibility guidance marks outfits as supported across the experiences shown in its table, while warning that many other cosmetic types do not work in every Fortnite experience. Epic also notes rating-related restrictions for a small portion of cosmetics. If you have a particular mode or island in mind, use the item’s current compatibility indicator rather than assuming every associated cosmetic works there.
How to make the choice
- Open the Fortnite Shop. Confirm that the outfit or bundle you want is actually listed; event announcements and dated schedules are not live inventory.
- Check the current offer details. Review the displayed price, any discount, the included items, and the offer’s deadline on the listing. Do not assume an earlier price or bundle description still applies.
- Match the style to your preference. Pick FNAF for animatronic horror, Freddy Krueger or Ghost Face for a slasher look, or Halloween Horror Nights for an event crossover if its items are available.
- Verify mode compatibility. Check the item’s compatibility indicator for the experience where you plan to use it, especially if you are choosing accompanying cosmetics as well as an outfit.
These are cosmetic choices. The available evidence does not establish that any of these outfits improves competitive performance, and a skin’s horror theme is not a reason to treat it as a gameplay upgrade.
