There is no Punjabi-specific export preset. Choose settings according to whether you are uploading one prerecorded video containing a playlist or sending a live stream to YouTube: uploads use YouTube’s upload recommendations, while live encoders use its separate ingest settings.
Choose the workflow before exporting
A playlist can be a finished video file with tracks arranged in sequence, or a live broadcast sent to YouTube in real time. The distinction matters: the recommended audio sample rate and bitrate, as well as video bitrate and keyframe requirements, differ. Punjabi language and genre do not call for a special codec or bitrate.

- Prerecorded playlist video: export a file and upload it. Use the upload settings below.
- Live stream: send an encoder’s output to YouTube. Use the live settings below, and check the incoming connection and stream health.
Export settings for a prerecorded playlist upload
For a typical SDR upload, use an MP4 container, progressive H.264 video, and stereo AAC-LC audio at 48 kHz. Preserve the frame rate at which the source was recorded; YouTube’s upload guidance says content should be encoded and uploaded at the same frame rate it was recorded. Choose the video bitrate for the resolution and frame rate rather than applying a live-stream bitrate.
| Setting | Recommended baseline for an upload |
|---|---|
| Container | MP4 |
| Video codec and scan | H.264, progressive scan |
| Frame rate | Match the recording; common rates include 24, 25, 30, 48, 50, and 60 fps |
| Keyframes | Closed GOP; GOP length half the frame rate |
| Stereo audio | AAC-LC or Opus, 48 kHz; YouTube’s recommended stereo upload bitrate is 384 kbps |
| SDR color | BT.709 |
| Video bitrate examples | 1080p at 24–30 fps: 8 Mbps; 1080p at 48–60 fps: 12 Mbps |
The bitrate figures are YouTube’s recommendations for SDR uploads, not guarantees that a particular export will look identical after YouTube processes it. Use the resolution and frame rate of your intended upload when selecting the corresponding recommendation. See YouTube’s recommended upload encoding settings for its full table.

Why keep the original frame rate?
Unnecessary frame-rate conversion can introduce duplicated or dropped frames. If your source was recorded at 25 fps, for example, do not convert it to 30 fps without a specific production reason. YouTube’s upload guidance covers matching the recorded frame rate; it does not prescribe a Punjabi-music-specific rate.
What to expect after upload
A high-resolution version may take longer to finish processing. A newly uploaded video can initially be available only in lower quality while processing completes. If the result seems soft or a resolution is missing, allow processing time and consult YouTube’s upload audio and video troubleshooting guidance.

Settings for a live Punjabi music stream
For live ingest, send H.264 video using constant bitrate (CBR), with a two-second keyframe interval; YouTube says not to exceed four seconds. Use the live bitrate recommendation for the chosen resolution and frame rate. Live stereo audio uses a different recommendation from uploaded-file audio: AAC or MP3, 44.1 kHz, and 128 kbps. Prefer RTMPS when your encoder supports it.
| Setting | Live-stream recommendation |
|---|---|
| Protocol | RTMP or RTMPS; YouTube recommends RTMPS |
| Video | H.264 with CBR |
| Keyframe interval | 2 seconds recommended; do not exceed 4 seconds |
| Frame rate | Up to 60 fps; choose bitrate for the selected resolution and frame rate |
| Stereo audio | AAC or MP3, 44.1 kHz; recommended bitrate 128 kbps |
| SDR color | Rec. 709 |
| Example H.264 video bitrate | 1080p30: 5 Mbps; 1080p60: 6 Mbps |
Those are live-ingest figures, not upload-file export settings. YouTube transcodes the incoming live stream into output formats for viewers, so encoder settings describe what you send to YouTube. Consult YouTube’s live encoder settings, bitrates, and resolutions for the resolution-specific table.

Keep bandwidth headroom and test the real setup
Your upload connection must sustain the stream’s bitrate reliably. YouTube advises leaving 20% of upload bandwidth unused as headroom. Test with audio and movement similar to the actual playlist stream, preview the stream, and monitor stream health; a static image and quiet audio may not reveal problems that appear during the real broadcast. See YouTube’s streaming tips.
Music rights are separate from export quality
A correct codec, bitrate, and keyframe interval do not grant permission to use the songs. YouTube’s livestream terms require the provider to have the necessary rights for live content, including music rights. YouTube also scans live streams for third-party content; a licensed track may still be interrupted if its rights owner has not allowlisted the channel. Creator Music currently does not support live content. Check YouTube’s livestream terms, its guidance on copyright issues with live streams, and the Creator Music FAQ before planning a live playlist.

Or let it run in the cloud
If the goal is to keep a prerecorded playlist live on YouTube without leaving a computer running, StreamNeo is a cloud option: upload your recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It loops the uploaded video from the cloud, so nothing has to stay on at home. Each slot streams the uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, with no re-encode or quality tiers; automatic recovery is included if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly is $9.99 per month. StreamNeo is for uploaded videos streamed to YouTube, not a camera-based live broadcast.
