For a premium 34-inch curved gaming monitor, Tom’s Guide names the MSI MPG 341CQR QD-OLED X36 its current top pick. But there is no single six-model ranking supported by the testing available here: the publications assess different monitors and categories. This guide separates their findings into premium gaming, budget gaming, and work-focused options so you can choose by the features that matter to you.
How these six picks are organized
The recommendations below draw on testing and selections published by Tom’s Guide, TechSpot, and PCWorld, plus specifications on LG’s official US product page. Those sources do not establish a directly comparable test of all six monitors. Treat the labels as category guidance, not as a universal lab ranking or as results from testing performed for this article.
The strongest documented premium pick is the MSI MPG 341CQR QD-OLED X36. TechSpot also compares it with the ASUS ROG Swift PG34WCDN, while PCWorld’s shortlist adds two gaming alternatives. LG’s 34WR55QC-B is a work and mixed-use option for buyers who value laptop connectivity.

Premium curved monitors for gaming
MSI MPG 341CQR QD-OLED X36: premium all-purpose pick
Tom’s Guide names the MSI MPG 341CQR QD-OLED X36 its best curved monitor. Its 34-inch QD-OLED panel has a 3440 × 1440 resolution, 1800R curvature, and a 360Hz refresh rate. The listed response time is 0.03ms. Connections include HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 2.1a, and USB-C with up to 98W power delivery, a useful combination if you want one display to connect to a laptop as well as a gaming PC.
#1 Best Overall

- SMOOTH PERFORMANCE FOR SEAMLESS CONTENT: Stay in the action when playing games, watching videos, or working on creative projects; The 100Hz refresh rate reduces lag and motion blur so you don't miss a thing in fast-paced moments¹
- MORE GAMING POWER: Gain the edge with optimizable game settings; Color and image contrast can be adjusted to see scenes more vividly and spot enemies hiding in the dark; Game Mode adjusts any game to fill the screen so you can view every detail²
- KEEP IT EASY ON THE EYES: Care for your eyes and stay comfortable, even during long sessions; Advanced eye comfort technology certified by TÜV reduces eye strain by minimizing blue light and reducing irritating screen flicker²
- INCREASED VERSATILITY: Connect to more; Plug devices straight into your monitor for increased flexibility, making your computing environment even more convenient
Tom’s Guide reports measured color-volume results of 166.3% sRGB and 117.8% DCI-P3, plus a Delta-E result of 0.15. These are that publication’s reported measurements, not independently reproduced results. Its stated drawbacks are high price and limited brightness; those trade-offs matter if you work in a bright room or prioritize value over OLED image quality. See Tom’s Guide’s curved-monitor coverage for its testing and assessment.
ASUS ROG Swift PG34WCDN: close premium alternative
TechSpot tested the ASUS ROG Swift PG34WCDN alongside the MSI MPG 341CQR X36 and found the pair difficult to separate in panel performance. Its coverage of the 2026 QD-OLED panel generation highlights 360Hz refresh, improved brightness and text rendering, and peak HDR brightness of up to 1,300 nits. That peak figure is TechSpot’s report about the discussed panel generation; it should not be read as a brightness result for every HDR scene or every monitor use case. TechSpot’s findings and comparison are at its 2026 ultrawide gaming monitor guide.

Check the exact model’s regional specification and connections before buying; the evidence summarized here does not establish a complete side-by-side feature comparison.

PCWorld lists the MSI MPG 341CQPX as its best ultrawide for gaming. It describes a 240Hz refresh rate, 98W USB-C power delivery, and strong color performance, while noting that the stand is large. That makes it worth considering if you want a gaming-focused ultrawide with laptop charging, but desk space may be a constraint. PCWorld’s pick appears in its 2026 ultrawide monitor guide.

Value and work-focused curved monitors
Gigabyte GS34WQC: budget gaming pick
PCWorld names the Gigabyte GS34WQC its best budget ultrawide gaming monitor. The publication cites good contrast, solid color, and refresh rates up to 144Hz with good motion clarity. Its trade-offs are modest maximum brightness and lackluster HDR. This is the category pick to weigh when price and smooth gaming matter more than premium HDR performance; the evidence here does not establish a current price. See PCWorld’s guide for its assessment.
LG 34WR55QC-B: work and mixed use
LG’s US product page lists the 34WR55QC-B as a 34-inch curved WQHD display with 3440 × 1440 resolution, a 100Hz refresh rate, HDR10, and 99% typical sRGB coverage. USB-C provides up to 65W power delivery. That combination can suit a desk setup where connecting and charging a laptop is more important than chasing a high gaming refresh rate. The listed specifications are for LG’s US page; confirm the exact regional model before purchase. LG’s specifications are on its 34WR55QC-B product page.

Sixth pick: a category choice, not a forced ranking
The cited coverage establishes five named models: the MSI MPG 341CQR QD-OLED X36, ASUS ROG Swift PG34WCDN, MSI MPG 341CQPX, Gigabyte GS34WQC, and LG 34WR55QC-B. It does not support a sixth distinct recommendation with comparable evidence. Rather than invent a sixth tested pick, use the Dell US curved-monitor listings as a place to browse current options, then verify exact model specifications against the manufacturer. A listing is not a test-backed recommendation.

- Choose for premium gaming: Start with the MSI MPG 341CQR QD-OLED X36 if you want the documented 360Hz QD-OLED pick and 98W USB-C charging. Consider the ASUS PG34WCDN as a close panel-performance alternative based on TechSpot’s comparison.
- Choose for lower-cost gaming: PCWorld’s GS34WQC pick emphasizes contrast, color, and up-to-144Hz motion clarity, with brightness and HDR compromises.
- Choose for laptop connectivity: Compare the MSI MPG 341CQPX’s 98W USB-C power delivery and large stand with LG’s 34WR55QC-B at 65W USB-C and 100Hz. These are different categories and not a direct performance contest.
- Check the room and desk: Brightness limitations can be consequential in a bright workspace, while the large stand noted for the MSI MPG 341CQPX may take up more desk area.
- Verify before ordering: Confirm the regional model, ports, USB-C charging wattage, refresh rate, price, and stock on the seller or manufacturer page. The cited sources do not provide a single current price comparison across these models.
What the testing can and cannot tell you
These recommendations combine different kinds of evidence: publication testing for the MSI X36 and the MSI-ASUS panel comparison; editorial category picks for the PCWorld models; and manufacturer-listed specifications for the LG. Test figures and conclusions belong to the named publications. They should not be read as a controlled test of every model against every other model.

OLED’s high refresh and strong reported color results make it compelling for gaming and image quality, but those strengths do not make it an automatic choice for office work or value. Price, brightness, text rendering, USB-C charging, HDR behavior, and stand size can change which display makes sense for an individual desk. A reader discussion asking for the “best 34-inch OLED UltraWide for gaming in 2026” illustrates one buyer’s priority, not a representative survey; see the discussion.
