For a creator who wants a pre-recorded music playlist to stay live on YouTube without leaving a computer running, StreamNeo is the most straightforward option to try first: it loops uploaded videos from the cloud, supports quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and offers a free first day. Other options solve different problems: YtLive Stream advertises hosted continuous broadcasting; a cloud VM offers more control but requires setup and maintenance; Google Cloud Live Stream API and AWS media services are managed broadcast infrastructure, not turnkey YouTube playlist loopers.

There is no evidence-based universal winner for every Indian music channel. The right choice depends on whether you need direct YouTube playout, how much technical operations you want to handle, your target quality, total cloud costs, and—above all—whether you have the rights to stream the music.

Compare the options by what they actually do

A 24/7 channel needs a source that keeps sending a live feed to YouTube, plus a way to play or rotate the content and recover if the connection drops. Some cloud products instead encode and deliver video to viewers through their own storage and distribution architecture. That distinction matters: a managed media service is not automatically a YouTube relay.

  1. StreamNeo — simplest cloud option for uploaded-video loops

StreamNeo is a cloud service for keeping a YouTube channel live from uploaded videos. Upload a recording or build a playlist, add the YouTube stream key once, and go live; StreamNeo loops the content from its cloud, so your computer, OBS, and home internet connection do not need to stay on. 2. YtLive Stream — hosted broadcasting with vendor-advertised plans

YtLive Stream advertises cloud-hosted broadcasting, playlist looping and shuffling, scheduling, telemetry, and automatic recovery. Its accessed pricing page showed a Starter plan at ₹499/month with one connected channel, one active stream, 10 GB storage, and a 720p limit; its Pro plan showed ₹999/month with two active streams, 25 GB storage, 1080p output, and failover recovery. These are vendor-published plan details, not independent reliability measurements; check the current terms and price before purchasing. Check YtLive Stream’s current offer.

  3. Self-managed cloud VM — most control, most operator responsibility

A virtual machine can run a media player and encoder that send a continuous RTMP feed to YouTube. You choose the software, playlist logic, restart behavior, and monitoring. In return, you are responsible for configuring and securing the server, managing the stream key, handling playlist changes, monitoring failures, and ensuring the process reconnects after a crash or network interruption. The reviewed evidence does not establish a complete current VM bill for an Indian region, so there is no defensible all-in monthly comparison here.

  4. Google Cloud Live Stream API — managed encoding, not a direct YouTube loop broadcaster

Google Cloud Live Stream API accepts SRT or RTMP input, transcodes it to HLS or DASH, and stores the generated output in Cloud Storage. Google documents FFmpeg as an example encoder and supports backup input configuration. That is useful for managed live encoding, but the documented output workflow is not itself a direct YouTube playout endpoint. Google’s Live Stream API overview.

  5. AWS media services — broadcast and viewer-delivery building blocks

AWS describes a live-video architecture in which an encoder such as AWS Elemental MediaLive compresses and formats a feed, MediaStore or MediaPackage acts as origin, and CloudFront distributes it to viewers. AWS notes that live content may run as a 24×7 channel, but this broader architecture is not evidence that the services directly run an always-on YouTube playlist. It suits a workflow designed around broadcast processing and viewer delivery, not necessarily a small creator’s direct YouTube loop. AWS’s live and on-demand streaming overview.

Choose based on the workflow you need

Option Best fit What it handles What you still need to plan
StreamNeo Creators looping uploaded videos on YouTube with minimal home equipment and system administration Cloud looping and playlists, a YouTube stream, and automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream Music rights, stream-key security, and selecting a billing duration
YtLive Stream Creators considering a hosted service with advertised scheduling, playlist, and recovery functions Vendor-advertised cloud broadcasting features Verify current terms, price, limits, security, and recovery claims with the vendor
Cloud VM Technically capable operators who want to configure their own playout and encoder A server to run the software and send an encoder feed, once configured Software, storage, outbound transfer, monitoring, restarts, security, and all-in cost
Google Cloud Live Stream API Workflows needing managed live encoding into HLS or DASH outputs Input handling, transcoding, and output to Cloud Storage A separate YouTube playout path if YouTube is the destination, as well as session lifecycle, quotas, and costs
AWS media services Broadcast architectures that need media processing and viewer distribution Encoding, origin, and delivery building blocks Designing and operating the architecture; the cited workflow does not establish direct YouTube playlist playout

Estimate managed-cloud costs without mistaking a component rate for a channel bill

Google Cloud lists Mumbai (asia-south1) as a supported pricing region for its Live Stream API. On the pricing page accessed in 2026, H.264 hourly rates were as follows. These are charges for configured API input and output tiers, not an all-in monthly price for keeping a YouTube channel live.

H.264 tier Input rate per active hour Output rate per active hour
SD $0.07 $0.22
HD $0.14 $0.45
UHD $0.85 $1.50

Google says charges depend on active channel duration and configured input and output tiers, and that the API has no free usage tier. Storage, network egress, other cloud services, and any VM or playout system may add costs. A fair VM estimate also needs the selected Indian region, instance compute, persistent storage, outbound transfer, IP or network charges, and any encoding or monitoring services. Without a defined resolution, bitrate, and workload, a lowest-cost provider claim would be guesswork. Google Cloud Live Stream API pricing.

Account for session limits and recovery

Cloud infrastructure does not by itself guarantee that a YouTube broadcast stays uninterrupted. The operator or service must account for YouTube ingest interruptions, encoder or process failures, and provider-side limits. Google Cloud’s quotas documentation says that after 24 hours in an active streaming state, a channel may be restarted. That means a continuous workflow using the API must handle session lifecycle and recovery instead of assuming a channel runs forever without intervention. The quotas page was last updated 2026-09-30 UTC. Google Cloud Live Stream API quotas and limits.

For the Live Stream API, Google recommends using SRT where possible if the encoder supports it; its documentation describes packet-drop recovery, forward error correction, multiple audio elementary streams, and higher bandwidth than RTMP. Google also publishes recommended bitrates by resolution and frame rate. Treat those recommendations as starting points for that API, not as a guarantee of a particular YouTube configuration or stream quality. Google Cloud Live Stream API best practices.

Set up YouTube access before choosing a playout service

  1. Make sure the channel can go live

YouTube says the channel must be verified and must not have had a live-stream restriction in the preceding 90 days. Follow YouTube’s current setup instructions for enabling live streaming. YouTube Help: Get started with live streaming.

  2. Create and protect the stream key

Encoder setup uses a YouTube stream URL and stream key. YouTube describes the key as functioning like the stream’s password and address, so treat it as a secret: enter it only in the chosen service or encoder, limit access to the account and server, and replace it if it is exposed. YouTube’s live-stream setup guidance.

  3. Check what the selected service actually sends

Confirm whether it sends a continuous encoder feed to YouTube or creates HLS/DASH output for another origin or player. For a YouTube loop, make sure the workflow includes the YouTube ingest destination and a plan for restarts or reconnects.

Clear music rights before putting a channel on a continuous loop

A paid subscription, a download, or a general license does not automatically establish the rights needed for a 24/7 live broadcast. YouTube’s livestream terms place responsibility on the provider to have the necessary worldwide rights for live content, including music rights involving artists, record labels, publishers (including public performance licenses), and other royalty participants. Check the permitted territories and uses, and whether the license covers both the live stream and any archived replay. YouTube livestream terms and conditions.

YouTube scans live broadcasts for third-party content matches. A match can produce a warning and placeholder image, then lead to interruption or termination if the material remains. Even if you have licensed music, the rights owner may need to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist; otherwise, YouTube may still interrupt the broadcast. YouTube Help: Copyright issues with live streams.

YouTube’s Creator Music usage details say its tracks are for long-form videos, not live streams. Do not assume a track available through Creator Music is cleared for a continuous live broadcast. YouTube Help: Understand Creator Music usage details.

Do not treat 24/7 uptime as a monetization shortcut

YouTube’s monetization policies apply to live streams and require monetized content to be original and authentic. The policy describes mass-produced, generic, repetitive, or manipulative content as inauthentic and ineligible for monetization, so a continuous loop is not automatically eligible just because it attracts viewing time. The current YouTube Partner Program ad-revenue threshold shown in YouTube Help is 1,000 subscribers and either 4,000 qualified public watch hours in 365 days or 10 million qualified Shorts views in 90 days; meeting the threshold does not guarantee approval if the channel’s content fails review.
