If your LG UN7300 does not feel fast enough for PS5, shop for a TV with a native 120Hz panel and verified 4K/120Hz input—not merely a 4K label. The evidence available supports the TCL QM7K as a model worth investigating, but does not confirm its PS5 gaming formats or current price. Treat it as a candidate, not a proven budget pick, and check the exact size and model before buying.

What makes a TV a meaningful PS5 speed upgrade?

Start with the experience you want. A 4K television can display PS5 games at 4K resolution without accepting a 120Hz signal. If you want the console’s 120Hz mode, verify that the specific TV supports a native 120Hz panel and accepts 4K/120Hz over HDMI. A 4K badge alone does not establish either capability.

  • Native refresh rate and signal support: Confirm both the panel’s native refresh rate and the input formats supported by the exact model and size. For a 120Hz target, check explicitly for 4K/120Hz.
  • HDMI 2.1 bandwidth: Verify the available HDMI bandwidth and which ports support the relevant gaming features.
  • VRR and ALLM: Variable Refresh Rate can help smooth fluctuations in frame rate; Auto Low Latency Mode lets a compatible TV switch to a lower-latency mode. Check support rather than assuming it from the HDMI label.
  • Input lag and motion: Look for measurements and assessments at both 60Hz and 120Hz. A TV can support high-refresh inputs yet handle motion less well at 60Hz.
  • Room and connections: Consider brightness and reflection handling for your room. If you connect multiple HDMI 2.1 devices or a soundbar, check port count, placement, and whether eARC uses a port you need.

These checks help distinguish a genuine gaming upgrade from an inexpensive 4K set that may still be limited to 60Hz.

TVs to investigate—and one to avoid for a 120Hz upgrade

TCL QM7K: a candidate to verify

RTINGS’ comparison in its LG QNED92A review says the TCL QM7K has slightly better picture quality than the QNED92A, with better direct-reflection handling, slightly more brightness, and somewhat better local dimming. Listed screen sizes are 55, 65, 75, 85, and 98 inches.

Those picture-quality comparisons do not establish that the QM7K accepts PS5 4K/120Hz, supports VRR or ALLM, or is currently priced as a budget TV. Before treating it as a speed upgrade, verify those details for the precise size and regional model you plan to buy. Its relative picture-quality strengths do not substitute for confirmation of gaming formats or value.

LG QNED92A: a feature reference, not a budget verdict

RTINGS lists HDMI 2.1 bandwidth, refresh rates up to 4K/144Hz, VRR, and low input lag for the LG QNED92A. It says the TV supports PS5 at 4K/120Hz and 1440p/120Hz, HDMI Forum VRR, and ALLM. That makes it a useful reference for the gaming capabilities to look for, but not necessarily a budget recommendation.

The same review criticizes its motion handling at 60Hz and calls the TV somewhat overpriced for its picture quality. Its comments that LG’s OLED lineup starts around a similar price and that the TCL QM7K and Hisense U8QG may offer better performance for about the same price are qualitative review judgments, not verified live price comparisons.

Hisense QD6QF: not a 120Hz speed upgrade

RTINGS describes the Hisense QD6QF as an entry-level 2025 4K LCD with a 60Hz refresh rate, no HDMI 2.1 bandwidth, and basic VRR. It may suit a different set of needs, but those specifications do not make it a suitable choice if your goal is to move beyond 60Hz gaming. Its HDR-format support does not change that limitation.

Can you conclude that the LG UN7300 is the bottleneck?

Not from the model name alone. RTINGS’ UN7000 and UN7300 comparison says the UN7300 displays native 4K content without issue, but that is not a statement about its maximum refresh rate, input lag, or HDMI bandwidth. The comparison also notes that panel types can vary by size; its tested samples used IPS panels. It does not establish the capabilities of every UN7300 size or regional model.

Check the full model suffix and screen size on your TV, then compare those details with the format your PS5 is outputting. If the issue is that a particular game does not offer a 120Hz mode, the game’s settings and output matter too; replacing the television will not create a mode the game does not provide.

How to choose without overpaying for an unverified upgrade

  1. Write down the exact TV model and size. Panel and feature details can vary across sizes and regional versions.
  2. Choose your target signal. If you want 120Hz gaming at 4K, require explicit confirmation of 4K/120Hz input—not just a 120Hz marketing claim or 4K resolution.
  3. Verify the gaming features on the exact model. Check HDMI 2.1 bandwidth, VRR, ALLM, measured input lag, and motion handling at both 60Hz and 120Hz.
  4. Check practical fit and current value. Compare room brightness and glare needs, port availability, exact size, and current local price. A feature list alone cannot show whether a set is a good budget buy.
  5. Confirm how the PS5 connects. Use a compatible HDMI port and verify the console’s output settings after setup; a capable TV cannot deliver a high-refresh mode through an unsuitable connection or configuration.

On the evidence available, the QM7K merits further checking, while the QNED92A illustrates a documented set of PS5 gaming features and the QD6QF illustrates what to avoid when 120Hz is the goal. No fully verified budget-ranked shortlist or current price comparison is established here.
