How to choose a broiler pan and rack
Check the fit before comparing features
Measure the oven cavity where the pan will sit, including the usable width and depth with the rack in place. Choose the material and coating for your priorities

Decide whether a removable rack matters
A rack lifts food above the pan, while a lift-off design also lets you use the rack and base separately. USA Pan specifically describes its Goldtouch rack and base as usable separately. Do not assume another set’s parts can be used independently unless its manufacturer says so.
Which set should you choose?
For an uncoated pan with a long stated warranty: Nordic Ware Naturals Classic
Choose this set if you want heavy-gauge aluminum and your oven can accommodate its 12.8 × 8.4-inch interior. Nordic Ware lists a 500°F oven limit and lifetime warranty. The trade-off is care: hand washing is recommended, and the maker discourages dishwasher use because detergent can discolor natural aluminum.

For an appliance replacement: verify the oven model
Appliance-specific pans are not interchangeable simply because their dimensions appear close. Thermador’s 11024904 set contains two 8.5 × 14.3-inch pans and is intended for use with tray 11024903; Thermador directs customers to check appliance compatibility at its parts and support information. Wolf says pan and rack dimensions vary by oven size and product line, so replacement selection depends on the model; consult Wolf’s product assistance.
Is a broiler pan safe under the broiler?
Only use a set when its maker’s instructions and temperature rating are compatible with your oven’s broil mode. Respect the lowest rating of the pan and rack, and follow the oven manufacturer’s directions. Nordic Ware’s use instructions say, “Always use proper ventilation when broiling,” and warn not to leave broiling food unattended. Keep the oven attended and follow the specific instructions for your appliance and pan.
