For a damage-focused Blackbird build in Neverness to Everness (NTE), prioritize Ultimate, Skill, Basic, then QTE; build CRIT DMG, Psyche DMG Bonus, ATK, and CRIT Rate; and use the Devil’s Blood: Curse cartridge with Crime and Punishment as her Arc. Blackbird can also work as a sub-DPS or support: mark an enemy with her Redirect Skill, swap to an ally who can trigger a reaction and attack, then use her Ultimate for its team ATK increase and damage window.
Best Blackbird build in NTE
These recommendations reflect character data labeled current for version 1.4 on September 29, 2026, and build guidance updated September 30, 2026. The character page is a community data reference, while the build recommendations are guide assessments rather than official developer rankings or independent combat-test results.
Damage-focused setup
- Skill priority: Ultimate > Skill > Basic > QTE, according to Neverness.app’s Blackbird data.
- Stat priority: CRIT DMG > Psyche DMG Bonus > ATK > CRIT Rate > Universal DMG Bonus.
- Cartridge: Devil’s Blood: Curse. Its two-piece effect gives Psyche DMG +10%; its four-piece effect gives 18% damage, rising to 36% against enemies affected by Nova or Stain. Icy Veins recommends it for Blackbird’s personal damage because her play pattern uses those cycles.
- Arc: Crime and Punishment is her signature Arc and the leading damage choice. Icy Veins points to its Cycle Intensity for her Redirect Skill-driven cycle and a critical-damage window after her Ultimate begins Witch of Deliverance. Neverness.app also lists Cosmos Daze and Wild Reverie as alternatives.
Modules and Console
Neverness.app says Type III Specialization adds 8% CRIT Rate for each Type III Module equipped. Icy Veins illustrates a damage setup with four Type III modules (+32% CRIT Rate) and a separate support-oriented example using Speedy Hedgehog. These are build examples, not a requirement to max every module before using Blackbird.
How to adjust Blackbird for support or quickswap
For a support-leaning setup, spend less time keeping Blackbird on-field: apply her mark, let the active ally attack, and use her Ultimate when it is ready. Icy Veins recommends considering Good Boy’s Grand Adventure as a support-focused Arc and identifies Speedy Hedgehog as a support-oriented cartridge choice.

Blackbird rotation: mark, trigger, then use Ultimate
- Start with Netherplume Rite, Blackbird’s Redirect Skill. It damages the target, applies Forsaken Feather, and gains Malice.
- Swap to a Chaos or Lakshana teammate to trigger Nova or Stain, respectively. These reactions also matter for Devil’s Blood: Curse’s increased damage against affected enemies.
- Attack the marked target with the active teammate to trigger Blackbird’s coordinated Forsaken Bird attacks from off-field.
- When ready, cast Requies Animarum to enter Witch of Deliverance and increase team ATK. Use the attack window; its duration does not decrease while Blackbird is off-field, so you can rotate to refresh effects and return before the state ends.
Her Redirect Skill’s Forsaken Feather mark can trigger up to five coordinated attacks, with a trigger no more often than every two seconds. That mechanic lets her contribute while another character takes the field.

Which role should Blackbird fill?
| Role | How to use her | What the role emphasizes |
|---|---|---|
| Main DPS | Keep Blackbird on-field for meaningful time during Witch of Deliverance. | Her own attacks and Psyche damage. |
| Sub-DPS | Apply Forsaken Feather, then let another character attack the marked target. | Coordinated off-field hits alongside the active attacker. |
| Support | Bring her in briefly to apply the mark and use her Ultimate. | Reaction setup and the Ultimate’s team ATK increase. |
Icy Veins describes Blackbird as capable of all three roles. The best fit depends on who else is on your roster and whether you want her to spend time attacking or contribute around another on-field damage dealer.
Blackbird team options
Icy Veins’ September 30, 2026 team guide offers several lineups rather than one universally best Blackbird team:
Rank #3

- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (7-in-1), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
- Blackbird / Zankou / Daffodill / Sakiri: A Discord-focused setup with Zankou as the primary damage dealer. Daffodill is Chaos and can activate Nova with Blackbird; Sakiri provides low-field-time support.
- Blackbird / Zankou / Lacrimosa / Sakiri: An alternate Discord setup with more emphasis on damage over time.
- Blackbird / Zankou / Daffodill / Linko and Blackbird / Zankou / Lacrimosa / Iroi: Additional lineups shown in the guide.
- Blackbird / Chaos / Hathor / Zero: An option for leaning into Blackbird’s on-field Psyche damage while maintaining Chaos/Lakshana coverage. The guide notes that Chaos can take over as attacker while Blackbird’s off-field attack remains useful.
Choose between teams by checking which reactions your roster can access (Nova, Stain, and Discord with Incantation), who gets the main on-field damage window, whether coordinated off-field hits or damage over time matter more, and whether you need a support or healing slot. NTEBUILD.COM’s version 1.4 ranking, updated September 30, 2026, labels “Blackbird Nova” T0 and lists Blackbird, Lacrimosa or Daffodill, Zankou, and Sakiri. This is one unofficial fan site’s overall-power assessment; its team ratings account for synergy, ease of access, and endgame performance.
