The options below are compared by published specifications, not by a shared hands-on test, so there is no measured overall winner.

A complete set is the simplest route if you want a coordinated serving piece ready to place. Costco lists the Mikasa tub with its matching stand, scoop, and opener. Glitzhome lists a tub, stand, and lid, while Sam’s Club describes a set with a removable tub and tray. Confirm that the item page still shows those components in the box before purchase.

Frontgate says its optional stand fits both Optima tub sizes; its wording does not mean the stand is included. American Metalcraft lists the DWBT15 as pairing with a BTS12 stand, and its Vesper line lists tubs and stands as separate components. Match the model numbers and verify compatibility rather than assuming a stand will fit because the finish or brand is similar.

Match capacity to your gathering and serving space
Published capacity is a starting point, not a guarantee of how many drinks will fit once ice is added. Costco gives both bottle and can counts for its 30-quart Mikasa set. Frontgate publishes wine-bottle counts for its two Optima sizes. Other listings provide volume or dimensions instead of comparable beverage counts.
- For bottle service, use the seller’s stated bottle count as a rough planning guide, and allow space for ice and guests to reach the bottles.
- For mixed cans and bottles, consider whether the listing gives a can count with ice; only the Costco Mikasa listing here does.
- For a tub described by gallons or dimensions, do not convert that into a bottle count without a stated fit specification.
- Check assembled height and footprint as well as tub size. The Mikasa assembled set is 40.5 inches high and 20.5 inches square, according to Costco; its footprint may matter in a crowded patio or beside a buffet.
Consider construction, finish, and condensation claims
The documented choices include polished or hammered stainless steel, galvanized metal, and iron stands paired with tubs. Stainless finishes can suit a bar or formal table; galvanized metal and firwood may feel more at home in a rustic or casual setting. Consider the finish alongside the rest of the room, and measure where the stand will sit.

Costco and Frontgate describe their double-walled stainless steel tubs in terms of cold retention or reduced exterior condensation. Those are seller claims, not independently measured results in a common cooling test. The product pages do not establish which option chills drinks longer or stays drier under the same conditions.
Check accessories and care before buying
Accessories differ enough to affect how ready a set is for entertaining. The Mikasa set includes an ice scoop and bottle opener; Glitzhome lists a built-in opener and lid; the Sam’s Club set includes a removable tray and built-in opener. Frontgate sells its opener separately. Read the item-specific contents rather than assuming a photo shows everything included.

Availability can change by retailer and location. The Glitzhome result showed the tub out of stock, and the Sam’s Club result showed shipping, pickup, and delivery unavailable. Those signals do not establish permanent discontinuation or current nationwide inventory. Check the live product page and fulfillment options before planning an event around a particular set.

For older or category-level listings, including TableCraft’s brochure, verify current model numbers and availability directly. TableCraft describes a black metal stand that fits single- and double-wall tubs, disassembles for storage, and requires some assembly; the brochure is older, so confirm those details for the specific stand being sold.
