The best Authorize.Net WordPress plugin depends on how you take payments: use a WooCommerce gateway for a product store, and consider WPForms’ addon for payment-enabled forms. For WooCommerce, compare the official Authorize.net Payments extension, WooCommerce Authorize.Net Gateway, Easy Payment, and Pledged Plugins by payment methods, checkout compatibility, recurring-payment needs, and order operations—not by install counts alone.

Which Authorize.Net plugin fits your payment workflow?

Plugin Best fit Documented features Published requirements or status
Authorize.net Payments for WooCommerce WooCommerce stores seeking an extension published under the Authorize.net name. Credit cards, eCheck, Customer Information Manager (CIM) saved payment details, Advanced Fraud Detection Suite, Subscriptions, refunds, voids, manual capture, and saved methods. At the 2026 listing snapshot: version 1.0.5, 1K+ active installs; WordPress 6.4+, WooCommerce 7.6+, and PHP 8.0+ listed as requirements. Check the current listing before installing. WooCommerce Marketplace listing.
WooCommerce Authorize.Net Gateway WooCommerce stores that need card or eCheck payments, saved methods, Subscriptions or Pre-Orders, and Accept.js. Card and eCheck payments, saved payment methods, Subscriptions, Pre-Orders, Accept.js, and Checkout Blocks compatibility. Apple Pay is not compatible with Cart and Checkout Blocks in the documentation; the gateway does not support 3D Secure. Review the current WooCommerce documentation for compatibility and limitations before choosing it. WooCommerce gateway documentation.
Payment Gateway for Authorize.net for WooCommerce by Easy Payment Stores needing a broad set of documented checkout and order-management features, including Checkout Blocks. Accept.js, cards and eCheck, Google Pay, saved cards, subscriptions, refunds, voids, authorize-only/capture-later, Checkout Blocks, and FunnelKit compatibility. At the 2026 WordPress.org listing snapshot: version 1.0.24 and 800+ active installations. These are directory figures, not independent evidence of reliability. WordPress.org plugin listing.
Secure Gateway for Authorize.net and WooCommerce by Pledged Plugins WooCommerce stores evaluating Accept.js, ACH, and delayed capture. Accept.js, ACH, saved cards, refunds, authorize-now/capture-later, and logging, according to its listing. WordPress.org’s 2026 tag-directory snapshot reports 10,000+ active installations. The plugin says it is not affiliated with or supported by Authorize.Net, WooCommerce.com, or Automattic. WordPress.org Authorize.Net tag directory.
WPForms Authorize.Net addon Payment-enabled forms, such as a fee or donation form, rather than a WooCommerce product catalog. One-time and recurring payments. Requires a WPForms Elite license; the live payment page must use SSL/HTTPS. Its documentation was updated May 21, 2024, so verify current compatibility. WPForms Authorize.Net addon documentation.

Authorize.net Payments for WooCommerce is the straightforward starting point if you want an extension published under the processor’s name and its documented CIM, subscription, and order-operation features. WooCommerce Authorize.Net Gateway is another strong candidate when its exact block, wallet, and security-protocol limitations suit your checkout. Easy Payment or Pledged Plugins may fit stores whose needed features are explicitly listed there. For a form rather than a cart, WPForms is the relevant option among these choices.

What to check before choosing a WooCommerce gateway

Match WordPress, WooCommerce, and PHP versions

Compare the plugin’s minimum and tested versions with the versions actually running on your site. The official marketplace extension lists WordPress 6.4+, WooCommerce 7.6+, and PHP 8.0+ in its current published requirements as represented in the 2026 listing snapshot. Marketplace requirements and versions can change, so confirm them on the listing before installation. Check the selected gateway’s documentation for the same compatibility details.

Confirm your checkout type and payment methods

Identify whether the store uses WooCommerce Checkout Blocks or a shortcode-based checkout, then verify support for that exact flow. Do not assume that a feature offered by Authorize.Net is available through every plugin. Easy Payment lists Google Pay; WooCommerce’s gateway documentation notes that Apple Pay does not work with Cart and Checkout Blocks. Confirm card, eCheck or ACH, and any wallet needs against the individual plugin’s current documentation.

Elebase USB to USB C Adapter for iPhone 18 Pro Max,USBC Car Charger Adapter
  • Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
  • Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
  • Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
  • Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
  • 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.

Check subscriptions and saved payment methods

If you sell recurring products, verify support for your specific WooCommerce Subscriptions workflow, including renewal payments and saved cards. WooCommerce documents Subscriptions and saved payment methods for its gateway, while the official marketplace extension lists CIM saved payment details and Subscriptions. A general claim of “recurring payments” is not enough: check whether the integration supports the renewal and customer-account flow your store uses.

Verify refunds, voids, and delayed capture

If staff need to manage orders without opening the Authorize.Net merchant account, confirm that the plugin supports the exact operations they use. The published listings identify refunds and voids for some options, and authorize-only or manual capture for others. Feature availability in a listing does not replace a test of your own order process.

Security, setup, and maintenance

WooCommerce says Accept.js sends payment information directly to Authorize.Net and reduces PCI compliance responsibility; Easy Payment likewise describes browser tokenization. These descriptions are not a guarantee that a merchant is fully PCI compliant. Obligations depend on the implementation and merchant environment. Follow current guidance from your processor and acquiring bank, use HTTPS, keep WordPress and plugins updated, and test transactions in sandbox before taking live payments.

Before switching on a gateway, check its current documentation for account prerequisites and configuration steps, then verify the complete checkout path in sandbox: payment success, decline handling, order status, refunds or capture if needed, and any subscription renewal flow. Move to live processing only after those steps behave as expected.

Avoid retired integrations for a new setup

Do not choose an integration as a fresh default if its maintainer says it is legacy or retired. Gravity Forms says its Authorize.Net addon will not receive further updates. WooCommerce says its Accept Hosted/SIM plugin has been retired. Prefer a currently maintained option whose documented compatibility matches your site.

How to make the final choice

  1. If you sell through a WooCommerce catalog: shortlist the WooCommerce gateways, then compare checkout type, card and bank-payment support, subscriptions, saved methods, and required order operations.
  2. If your checkout uses Blocks: confirm block compatibility in current documentation and investigate any wallet limitations that apply to your exact cart and checkout.
  3. If recurring billing matters: verify the renewal flow and saved-payment requirements for the subscription product you use.
  4. If you collect a fee or donation through a form: assess WPForms’ one-time or recurring form payments and account for its Elite license requirement.
  5. Before going live: recheck version requirements and test the real payment and administration flows in sandbox.
