For a phone near the Lava Shark 2 Pro 5G’s reported ₹16,699 price in India, compare the HMD Vibe 2 Pro 5G if you want a sharper FHD+ screen and higher listed charging rate, or the Mivi One 5G if you want a lower entry price and more RAM configurations. These are specification-based trade-offs, not evidence that either alternative takes better photos, lasts longer, or performs faster. Prices and availability below were reported in early October 2026 and can change.
Which Lava Shark 2 Pro 5G alternative should you consider?
The HMD Vibe 2 Pro 5G is the closest feature-led comparison: its 6GB/128GB version was listed at ₹15,999, and it pairs a 120Hz display with FHD+ resolution and 33W charging. The Lava listing was ₹16,699 for 6GB/128GB, with an HD+ 120Hz screen and 18W charging. The Mivi One 5G starts lower at a reported ₹14,999, but its first sale was scheduled for October 8, 2026; confirm that it is actually on sale and in stock before choosing it.
All three are listed with 6,000mAh batteries and Android 16. Those matching headline specifications do not establish matching battery life or software-support periods.

HMD Vibe 2 Pro 5G: choose it for the FHD+ 120Hz screen and 33W charging
HMD’s main specification advantage over Lava is display resolution: the comparison lists a 6.78-inch FHD+ LCD at 120Hz, while Lava’s 6.75-inch panel is HD+ at the same refresh rate. Higher resolution means more pixels on paper, but the available sources do not provide a side-by-side viewing test.

HMD is also listed with 33W charging versus Lava’s 18W. That is a higher rated charging power, not proof of a particular charging time. The HMD 6GB/128GB listing is ₹700 below Lava’s reported price; its 8GB/128GB version is listed at ₹17,999, above the stated price range. Gadgets360’s HMD listing showed ₹15,999 but also marked the device “Currently unavailable,” so check current retailer stock before treating that price as purchasable.

Mivi One 5G: choose it for the lower starting price or RAM choice
Mivi’s reported starting configuration is ₹14,999 for 4GB/128GB, ₹1,700 below Lava’s listed price. Its 6GB/128GB version is reported at ₹15,999, and the 8GB/128GB version at ₹16,999. This gives buyers more listed memory choices than Lava’s single 6GB/128GB configuration.
The trade-off is a 6.745-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate, versus Lava’s HD+ 120Hz display. Mivi and Lava are both listed with 6,000mAh batteries and 18W charging; those specifications alone do not demonstrate equal battery life or charge time. Mivi’s listed cameras are 50MP + 2MP at the rear and 8MP at the front, which also cannot establish image quality relative to Lava.

Gadgets360 reported the Mivi’s first sale was scheduled for October 8, 2026. Because that date is just after the comparison’s October 1 report, verify that the sale has taken place and check live stock and price rather than assuming the phone is available.
Compare software promises carefully
Published software-support claims differ in wording and should be read as reported manufacturer promises, not verified delivery histories. Hindustan Times reports that Lava promised one major OS upgrade and two years of security updates. Gadgets360 says Mivi will receive updates through Android 18, and its comparison reports two years of security updates for HMD. These statements are not directly equivalent measures of support duration. The sources do not establish a comparative record of update delivery.
What these specifications do—and do not—tell you
- Screen: HMD is the only listed FHD+ option here; Lava and Mivi are HD+. Lava and HMD are listed at 120Hz, while Mivi is 90Hz. These are panel specifications, not a side-by-side assessment of brightness, color, or viewing quality.
- Charging: HMD’s listed 33W rate is higher than the 18W listed for Lava and Mivi. No comparative charge-time test is provided.
- Cameras: The listed megapixels and camera counts describe hardware only. No comparative photo samples or independent image-quality results are established.
- Battery: Each is listed with a 6,000mAh battery. Capacity alone does not show how long a phone lasts under a particular workload.
- Video: Available reporting conflicts on Lava’s recording resolution: Gadgets360’s comparison says 2K at 30fps, while GSMArena reports 1080p/30fps for both cameras. Avoid relying on a definitive video-resolution claim without further verification.
How to make the choice
- Set a firm price ceiling. Compare the exact memory version you intend to buy, then check its live price, seller, and stock. The listed HMD 6GB model and Mivi 6GB model are each ₹15,999; Lava’s listed 6GB model is ₹16,699.
- Decide whether screen resolution or refresh rate matters more. HMD combines FHD+ with 120Hz. Lava offers 120Hz at HD+; Mivi is HD+ at 90Hz.
- Choose a memory configuration, not just a model name. Lava is listed only in 6GB/128GB, while the comparison gives HMD 6GB/128GB and 8GB/128GB, and Mivi 4GB/128GB, 6GB/128GB, and 8GB/128GB.
- Check support terms and physical fit. Read the seller or manufacturer terms for the specific phone, and consider the listed weights if device weight matters to you: Lava 207g and HMD 197g. A weight for Mivi is not stated in the cited comparison.
