No single answer engine optimization (AEO) agency is the best choice for every buyer. The names that 2026 comparisons keep repeating are a reasonable starting list, but the right partner depends on why your brand is missing from AI-generated answers, which markets and languages matter to you, and whether you can verify results yourself. This guide gives you a shortlist method, the figures to read with care, and a test to run before you sign.
What agencies mean by AEO
Agencies use AEO, generative engine optimization (GEO), and AI search optimization largely interchangeably. All three describe work meant to make a brand more likely to be mentioned, sourced, or cited when people ask ChatGPT, Google AI, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, or similar tools a question. The label does not tell you what the work contains. One provider may mean technical site and schema changes, another may mean original content and digital PR, and a third may mean reporting alone. Judge each proposal by its delivery plan, not its label.
Starting names from 2026 comparisons
Two 2026 comparisons supply most of the candidate names.
- LoudFace comparison (updated September 29, 2026): lists LoudFace, NoGood, iPullRank, First Page Sage, Animalz, Siege Media, Omniscient Digital, Skale, Omnius, Avenue Z, and Magna. Its criteria include AI-search visibility, technical and schema readiness, content depth, B2B SaaS fit, and published results. It also says it checks whether agencies appear in AI answers to agency-selection prompts. LoudFace is one of the ranked firms, and the ranking is its own method, so treat it as a structured shortlist rather than independent market analysis.
- COSEOM comparison (2026): lists COSEOM, iPullRank, Siege Media, First Page Sage, Graphite, Omniscient Digital, Victorious, Flying Cat Marketing, SimpleTiger, Ten Speed, and Single Grain. It sorts providers by buyer type, such as multilingual B2B visibility, enterprise technical GEO, content-led GEO with digital PR, thought-leadership GEO, and SaaS search. COSEOM also describes its own services in the same article.
Neither list is a neutral verdict. Use them to build a longlist, then narrow it using the criteria below.

Match the agency to the problem
Rankings matter less than fit. The table shows which kind of problem each named firm is positioned to address, based on how the comparison pages describe them.
| Buyer need | What to compare | Firms positioned for it in the 2026 comparisons |
|---|---|---|
| Enterprise technical site or retrieval problems | Technical audit, architecture and schema implementation, large-site experience, measurement plan | iPullRank, described as technically oriented in both comparisons |
| B2B SaaS content program | Software-sector case evidence, content operations, fit with existing SEO and demand generation | LoudFace, Omniscient Digital, Skale, and Omnius (LoudFace’s SaaS discussion); Omniscient Digital is also positioned for B2B software content (COSEOM) |
| Content and earned media | Original expert content, distribution, digital PR, third-party mention strategy | Siege Media, positioned for content-led GEO with digital PR (COSEOM) |
| Multilingual or multi-region programs | Native-language delivery, locally relevant answer platforms, per-market reporting | COSEOM, which positions itself around multilingual measurement; AEO Vision, which highlights local language and platform differences |
| Early-stage or narrow scope | Published minimums, named senior delivery, defined scope, who implements changes | Magna, described by LoudFace as a pure-play specialist for early-stage teams |
For multilingual buying, AEO Vision’s 2026 directory guidance points to answer platforms beyond the global chatbots. Its examples are Naver in Korea, Baidu and Doubao in China, and Yahoo Japan alongside ChatGPT in Japan. Confirm that these platforms matter to your audience before they shape your choice.

Pricing signals are not like-for-like
Published prices describe different things. Some are monthly starting points, some are minimum project sizes, and some are scoped retainers. Compare them only after you know the format.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems| Provider | Figure as published | Pricing format | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| LoudFace | From $5,000 a month | Monthly starting price | LoudFace, 2026 |
| Siege Media | $5,000+ | Minimum project | COSEOM, 2026 |
| First Page Sage | $10,000+ | Not stated in the comparison | COSEOM, 2026 |
| Omniscient Digital | From $10,000 per month | Monthly figure | COSEOM, 2026 |
These are the publishers’ own comparison claims. They may reflect different scopes or pricing definitions, and they are not a market benchmark. Ask each finalist for a written quote that states scope, duration, and what is included.
Reading agency case results
Agencies publish before-and-after figures, and the figures look similar but measure different things. Each row below is a vendor claim with its own measurement scope.
| Case (publisher) | Reported result | Measurement scope stated |
|---|---|---|
| Bluefyn (LoudFace, 2026) | More than 5× AI visibility | Two 30-day windows using a fixed set of tracked buyer prompts |
| Outdoor Vitals (AEO.co, page accessed October 7, 2026) | AI Visibility Score moved from 0% to 34% after 11 days; 22 of 60 monitored results cited the brand | AEO.co’s own visibility tracking |
| Winona (AEO.co, page accessed October 7, 2026) | Share of voice moved from 13% to 50% in Google AI Mode; labeled a 5× lift over the ChatGPT baseline | Different engines and scopes for each figure, so the two numbers should not be combined |
| BabyRx (AEO.co, page accessed October 7, 2026) | 6 GPT citations in three weeks; 33% best-query visibility | AEO.co’s own case-study tracking |
The published pages do not independently validate causal attribution, and they do not show that these results are typical. Quote the named publisher and the measurement scope every time you cite one. AEO.co describes its own work this way: “We turn founder-led brands from invisible into cited, discovered, and trusted across ChatGPT, Google AI, Perplexity, Claude, and Gemini.” That is marketing copy, not evidence of outcomes.
Define the metric before you buy
Gains reported as share of voice, mention rate, citations, traffic, leads, and revenue are different outcomes, and a provider can improve one without moving the others. Ask which one the agency is accountable for, and how it is calculated.

A July 15, 2026 arXiv survey, “Optimizing Visibility in Generative Engines: A Critical Survey of Generative Engine Optimization (2023–2026),” argues that visibility cannot be reduced to mention frequency. It frames visibility as a sequence of retrieval, use, citation, prominence, and user selection. This is a preprint, not a standard or procurement guide, but it gives you a useful checklist for reading any agency dashboard.

How to test a finalist before you sign
- Write the business outcome and the buyer prompts. Build a prompt set from the questions your buyers ask before purchase, including comparison prompts and use-case prompts.
- Record a dated baseline. Save the answers from each engine and market you care about, along with the citations, the competitors named, and whether your brand is named, sourced, or merely mentioned.
- Ask for one worked example. The agency should walk through a real diagnosis, the changes it made, which pages or third-party sources it changed, the reporting window, and what you could check yourself.
- Separate deliverables from outcomes. Ask who writes, who implements technical changes, who approves content, who earns third-party placements, and who owns measurement. The proposal should name what it depends on from your team.
- Require a repeatable reporting method. It should use the same prompts, engines, geography, language, and observation windows over time, and it should show how the agency tells ordinary volatility from a sustained change.
- Compare written terms. Get fees, contract length, cancellation rights, content and PR budgets, tool costs, your internal hours, and the list of engines and languages included in each finalist’s offer.
Limits of this shortlist
- Geography. Most comparisons focus on the United States, with some coverage of Europe and Asia. Firms that serve your market may not appear in these lists.
- Directory inclusion. Appearing in a directory or comparison does not establish quality. Several lists include the publisher itself.
- Case study index. AEO Agency’s index covers an Australian outdoor-equipment retailer and a German B2B manufacturer, but the index page does not show outcomes or publication dates. Read each linked case before quoting it.
- Currency. Rankings, prices, answer-engine behavior, and firm offerings change quickly. Check the current figures on each provider’s site before you make a purchase decision.
Checking a shortlist against your own prompts, your own engines, and your own measurement will tell you more than any published ranking can.
